Model: LENOVO Legion Slim 7 16IRH8 82Y3 ; BIOS M0CN35WW
Describe the issue: So, since Tuesday my Laptop is running very hot. I just do Videos, Music, some Office stuff and play World of Warcraft.
Idle it sits already at 70+ C° and when I start doing just Videos and the really not so intense stuff it goes up to 80°C.
The real Kicker is WoW. I know it is a CPU heavy game but it shoots to above 90°C reaching up to 100°C. It also happened to turn off because of the heat too...and I'm at a loss. I didn't do any Driver updates or anything like it. I looked at the GPU driver (Nvidia) and it is the latest.
What have you tried already?: Nothing really. I monitored the Temperature. I usually game on a Laptop Table, which is not the best because it has not holes for ventilation but then it never got this issue and I never looked into it. Am now, obviously. I flipped it upside down at the moment. You'll see it in the Video.
**When did it start producing the issue: ** Tuesday is when I noticed it.
**Did you install new drivers or software?: ** Not actively. Lenovo Toolkit also doesn't suggest any updates so, I don't know what Windows did.
**Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue: ** Yes, I took a screenshot of MSI Afterburner. and Recorded a Video. See attachments please.

Make sure the back of the laptop is lifted, clean fans and exhaust, repaste.
Done the first, will do the second any minute now and the third is currently not an option without looking further into this.
Well those are the things that help temps. There isn’t anything else to do. Your temps aren’t really a problem either. They aren’t going to damage the machine.
Ok, I played around. I cleaned the fans. And there was some build up. Good I got it out.
BUT, holy moly is WoW a bitch. I never bothered to look into the settings further, because I set them to medium and forgot about them. Framerate ran un-capped though...
This little tick box and FPS Limit makes a difference of about 15°C...I run now at 74°C.
This can't be right...can it?
