Describe the issue:
When in Discrete GPU mode, laptop goes to TDR Recovery failure randomly, it can happen with minimal GPU load i.e watching Video, just staying idle.

What have you tried already?:
Everything recommended on forums, redit etc, DDU, official Lenovo drivers, image recovery etc

When did it start producing the issue:
It was the issue since I got the laptop. Hybrid mode does not cause the same problem

Did you install new drivers or software?:
I tried official lenovo drivers, updated bios etc. Also tried newest drivers.

Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue:
Dump file attached.

There is no issue under Linux, diagnostics show no problems with memory, video or anything else.
There is also no issue when running in hybrid mode under Windows when using official Lenovo driver.

dump generated with latest NVIDIA drivers, when using official Lenovo drivers problem remains but system fails to generate dump file.

Looking around the internet it seems like a common issue for this model, again please note that diagnostics run perfectly and there is no issue on Linux.

Have you overclocked your system? I seemed to have a similar issue with a different laptop a year or so back. Turns out it was because of overlocking.

Nope, in fact I tried to underclock it, same problem, going through drivers backwards see what sticks. Also disabled Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows. I swear this is something to do with windows + drivers

Crashes are so random too, I can live without a problem for a week and then have few of them per day doing nothing.

worst thing is that it not easy to reproduce/trigger so you never know if issue is fixed right away

So far so good, didn't had bug check in a few days. We will see. Then again this works fine on Linux so I doubt this is hardware. Played many games for many hours on Linux and nothing ever failed.

Can you try to download nvidia 537.58 driver if you'll get the bug back

currently on this driver version with dedicated mode. I did had crash and then turned off Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling so far so good but this can change any time

disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling seems to stabalize performance

I think problem is within Windows 11 itself

I dont buy - this is defective GPU etc because it works fine under linux

I would have suggested you to try 55X too branch too since it had some fixes but it has HORRIBLE vsync/gsync stutters but i'll say that it's better to wait for the next one after this one maybe.. anyhow well if the crashes come back often we will look more into it but tbh i expect some but vvvv rarely bc the drivers aren't feeling well recently just avoid 54X branch completly

idk why but my legion 7i pro has some heavy FPS drops in certain games in dGPU mode but not in hybrid mode
