Describe the issue: Lenovo Legion 7 Slim AMD 16 inch Black Screen
Hello I hope you are all doing well.
I have had the laptop for a year now and I have a black screen of death.
I can hear the fans going and I can get the backlight on the keyboard to turn on with FN and Spacebar.
I have tried hdmi to external monitor and that didnt work.
I have tried holding down the power button for 60 second. When I hold it maybe 20 seconds in the light ring around the power button will turn off for a second then turn back on. It does this every 20 second when I hold the button.
When I plug in the power the plug logo lights up in the white grey color.
I have tried repeatedly pressing and holding F1 and F2 on boot.
Any other ideas and thank you for the help. On a side note this appears to happen a lot to Lenovo computers based on my searching for a solution if this is the case this is horrible hardware. When I pressed the reset hole underneath with a paper the power plug symbol temporarily turned red/ orange for about 5 min then it went back to white.
Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue: ``

Disconnect the battery and cmos battery for 5 mins and reconnect. If that doesn’t work, contact Lenovo
Thanks for the quick response do you mean open the bottom and unplug the battery?
Ya. And the cmos
Sorry to ask but where is the cmos and is there clips or anything to worry about on the battery
It’s usually on the left somewhere. Sometimes under the battery. Sometimes under the second nvme drive, though I think your machine only has one nvme slot. It’s a coin battery with a s black and red wire to a white connector.
You don’t have to actually remove the battery. Just unplug the connector in there.
You removed the battery?
Just unplug the connector
Just like the battery
Why did you take the whole main battery out to begin with?

Have you installed another stick of ram? You could try to remove that too and try booting with just the soldered ram
No it's completely stock
Also that didn't work and now I have no fans just keyboard lights power lights
Sigh
I really appreciate the help
OMG hold on a minute I got the Lenovo logo
Thanks so much!!!!
But let me ask you one more question
Is this a sign of a bigger problem
That I should contact Lenovo about or anything
