CPU: i9-13900H
GPU: 4070 140w (115+25)
SSD: 4TB WD SN850X
RAM: 32GB stock 5200MHz CL42, SK Hynix
Overclocks: 300/1250
-AC LLC 160
-Conductonaut Extreme LM on CPU
-Conductonaut LM on GPU
-Max fans
-Low ambient

I have the highest 4070 graphics score and I'm now #2 overall on the leaderboard for ALL 4070s in Time Spy despite the massive CPU advantage (up to 13980HX) and cooling advantage held by thicc machines. I doubt I'll overtake Eluktronics' top score of 14,738 - set on a 17" MECH-17 13900HX and probably using their liquid cooler - but you never know...

So much power in a slim

Thanks everyone ๐Ÿป

Next up I'd like to revisit PR and SW with my new mount and see if I can take the overall spots there - no CPU test for the big boys to hide behind davehmm

Are your temps that low because you repasted with liquid metal? My temps all average about 94C CPU/73C GPU. Not sure if that's normal or not.

he repasted with liquid metal

#

those temps are similar to what i get if not a tiny bit hotter

Nvidia GPUs down clock with increasing temperature

#

the first threshold is in the high 40s I think. The 2nd one is in the low to mid 60s? It's probably published somewhere.

It's unavoidable even in the freezer to avoid losing the first clock bin but I mostly or entirely keep the 2nd. Each down clock is 15mhz

#

What seems odd at first is if you look at my target/max? GPU clock on this run and it's an astronomical 2,775MHz. On stock runs I did, it's listed at 2,445 MHz. That's a 330MHz difference, but I only OC'd by 300MHz. I think the other 30MHz is the extra clock bins I gained by starting so cold - the GPU literally starts out around 20*c at the beginning of the run. The warm ambient stock runs had already lost two bins by the time the test started!

That's crazy. What kind of freezer are you using for the run? Do you just close it up in there during the benchmark?

#

it's a pretty good arrangement because the intakes can draw up cold air from the freezer and the hot air vented out the sides and back hopefully goes up and out rather than defrosting my bread risitasnervous

great score.. that 4070 is pumping out.. coming from a 3070ti myself its a good leap.. i was getting around ~11000.. and it was 125w+25w

# rancid void Where does it fall on the normal distribution in Timespy?

I hold the top spot for my configuration by almost 300 points. 2nd place is FutureNoob, a fellow slim 7 owner here. If you're asking where it falls across the board, you can see that if you clicked on my score link where it says better than 75% of all scores. I'm a casual gamer and it's definitely good enough for me. I bought a pro 7i 4080 the day after release in February when the 4080 was the only configuration offered. It's massively powerful but I didn't need the extra power, and I wanted the build quality and features of the slim. Very happy with how efficient the 4070 is

I would love a 4080 right about now but if I invest into PC hardware again its definitely likely to be a desktop.
