So i wanna know if i can sacrifice some temps to get more fps. My laptop reaches a maximum of 54 celcius on gpu and cpu under heavy gaming load whhich is quite low.

Note: i have turned all settings to perfomance mode

You live in Antarctica or something? Those are idle temps of many laptops. It may not be using full performance.

@desert jackal i have turned everything to maximum power mode

On nvidia, control panel, lenovo toolkit, and in settings

Mind I ask what games u consider heavy load?

#

And to answer your original question. Yes you can overclock to get more performance

Yeah those aren't exactly heavy games. You can download 3d mark and do a run. Check your temps and see how much thermal headroom you have and overclock accordingly.

#

The lower the temps the better the result. 87c is the Mac for GPU before it throttles hard and 96 for the CPU.

Alright

#

So those are normal temps for those games?

#

@desert jackal what if i want to sacrifice more temps on those games to increase fps

You can obviously. Overclocking is the only option. Just be careful cuz it can take some time and patience to get a good overclock.

#

You can refer to #tweakers and ask questions there. They'll guide you

@desert jackal i tested cs2 on rivatuner and found out its only using 35 watts is that normal

I can't say but yeah that's really low. Which can explain the low temps since the card isn't being pushed at all

#

Try downloading the 3d mark demo and monitor the total wattage
