Read the #1020285176531669012 guide for battery usage.
I already know this thing and did it before, but after the bios update until i restart my laptop system draining the battery
Give some actual numbers here. What is your battery discharge rate? Is your dGPU powered off?
There is nothing wrong here.
Discharge rate of 7w
What are you expecting? 2 watts?
this picture for battery information after i restart my laptop
before that my battery stand for just 1 hour
and this problem started after last bios update
If you have high battery draw, it’s 99% of the time caused from your dGPU being awake
Idk what you want to hear
You have to make sure dGPU is turned off
Highly unlikely bios is the problem
But since you don’t want to troubleshoot anything and just keep insisting it’s the bios, do a roll back. Read #1020285176531669012
i will charge the laptop and unplug the charger without turn on my dgpu to compare
you were right, i try to unplug the charger after i fully charge my laptop and everything is okay
but i have a question, how to make my dgpu turn off after i finish my game, like after i finish my game i opened nvidia gpu activity and i see (searchhost , discord , amd radeon ,etc)
You can try using #legion-toolkit instead of vantage and use the deactivate GPU options in there.
DGPU says inactive. That means it’s awake and using power. You have to figure out what is keeping it awake. But it can also be cause by a buggy Nvidia driver. There is no clear cut path to make it go to sleep. Hybrid iGPU is also buggy and doesn’t always work correctly.
i don't say it's because a bios update, but before the update this never happened to me🥲
so for now, what should i do?
should i try install previous version for my dgpu or is there anyway to install previous bios version?
…….
What do u think the solution is if it's not the bios update?
i notice that the dgpu status keep changing, wtf?
i deleted the lenovo toolkit and let the dgpu only working because i'm terrified that my dgpu get broke
any thoughts?
I have already explained why this is happening.
.
should i back to previous driver update?
Why don’t you show what programs you have running
Go to processes in task manager and sort by name
Show background processes.
i notice this, when i put it on nvidia gpu only system power usage being low, but when i put it auto, power usage being high
a lot of weird things happening here
There are many more than this.
ok i will screenshot everyapp in task manger
I would not use advanced optimus. Run hybrid iGPU on battery
it's buggy right now, when i did this the dgpu status keep changing
like this
As I mentioned already, it’s buggy and usually requires multiple switches/restarts to work
ok so by now, what should i put settings on nvidia control panel and on lenovo vantage? and what's the best for use right now , vantage or toolkit?
and this bugs can make any danger to my hardware?
Vanguard, GeForce experience and Xbox gaming services could be keeping the dGPU awake.
your thoughts please
i closed vanguard and xbox gaming but nvidia keep running and there is alot of nvidia things, why?
It’s recommended to uninstall GeForce experience. It’s bloatware.
Toolkit is better
geforce experience help me with save clips and update driver in easy way, in a few days nothing of this bad things happend to me, what's the main reason in ur opinion>
in this moment i just try to but gpu mode on igpu and it's work
when i but it back to hybird mode my dgpu keep switching between powerd off and inactive
Ok. I can’t keep repeating my self.
The dGPU is going to wake up from a program keeping it awake or a buggy driver.
This is the last time I will say this.
okay i'm sorry to make u repeat yourself, it is okay to keep it like this until the bug get fixed?
because i didn't install any new app, same apps befor and after this problem
You can’t hurt anything in any GPU working mode
You’re using options provided to you. If the options could hurt the laptop, they would not be provided.
bro
set it to hybrid-auto and forget about it
simple
it shuts off on battery when unused
turns back on when you connect the charger
all the features in llt are lenovo features in a more user friendly gui
and pro-tip: don't update/downgrade bios unless something's wrong
