Share the link for the benchmark please.
i don't have the link the benchmark in balanced mode anymore, but i have this in performance mode https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/97980202
I see, what about the usb disconnect/connect i'm experiencing each time i launch a game or anything that requires gpu swtching from dedicated to nvidia
Could it be something hardware related
Try an EC reset or like you’re thinking, try it without using advanced optimus automatic select.
Thank you @delicate ibex i will try that, hopefully it fixes the problem
hey could kindly tell how i'm supposed to fix the thermal throttling thingy, because there is no clear way to fix it on the internet
Clean your fans and heatsink fins. Open the bottom panel, hold your fan still with your finger, blow compressed air into the exhaust vents towards the fan.
Also, lower your ambient temperature and make sure at least the back of the laptop is lifted. Don’t keep it flat.
i did an EC reset but the problem persists
i checked the heatsink fins and they are clean
Try your idea about advanced optimus being the problem maker.
Is your laptop raised up in the rear? What is your ambient temperature?
and i noticed my computers fans starts going crazy for no reason, the ambient is quite normal in my room
An actual number would be useful. What you call “normal” could vary widely compared to other people. You have the laptop flat on a desk? Or it’s raised?
on a desk *
need to raise it. flat on a desk chokes the fan intake.
shouldn't be thermal throttling that bad just sitting there...
Never said that was the only reason.
Have to troubleshoot one step at a time
