-Model: Lenovo Legion i7 16 RTX 3070 i7 12700H - Windows 11

-Describe the issue:

Laptop fan start spinning at High RPM like 4900-5400RPM for no reason. During 1-2 minutes the issue persist but intermittently. And the temperatures are under 40ºC and no background process consuming CPU or GPU.

-What have you tried already?:

Reinstall Windows(Followed all discord guides), different drivers versions for GPU. Reset bios to default. Updating all drivers using 2 different ways (Windows and Lenovo Auto detect from website). Performed a soft bios reset by pressing the power button during 60 seconds... I tried to use different software combinations like only vantage, only Legion Toolkit, Vantage+Legion Toolkit, Legion Toolkit+ Legion Fan.
Nothing helps.

The issue most of the times appears when start the laptop, so then log in and wait for 1-2 minutes and it stop. But also happens randomly when the laptop is ON for a wile.

-When did it start producing the issue: From day 1.
-Did you install new drivers or software?: Different drivers don't have any effect.

All help is appreciated thank you :).

Normally, that's weird. Have u tried custom mode letting u set fan curves manually?

#

Either ur hardware and software are not communicating fan speed wise or you ar not truly idle.

Yes I did. Also when it happens the rpm is over of the values that I setup on the custom profile. I mean if I setup a maximum of 4000 rpm but when that thing starts the rpm can be up to 5400. My temps are fine I checked all sensors and I dont have any kind of temperature spikes to justify that crazy rpm.

#

I used hwinfo64 to check sensors.

#

So... Its some kind of bug I think... Maybe a bios glitch...I really dont know

i suggest using Lenovo Recovery to restore your laptop to factory defaults and see if the problem still persists.
