Model: Legion S7 16ARHA7

Describe the issue: The screen won’t turn on despite the machine is on as rgb lights on, power button is on and fans spinning. External monitor also doesn’t show anything. Not able to enter bios by pressing F2.

What have you tried already? Tried the 60sec and 15sec pressing power button while unplugged and then connecting charger to turn back on. Doesn’t help.

When did it start producing the issue: After I discharged the battery for calibration and recharged it fully and then the screen went black

Did you install new drivers or software? No, I upgraded the battery from 71Wh to 99.99Wh and replaced the stock ram with Corsair 32gb ddr5 ram stick. After I replaced these, the laptop used to work until I drained the battery to perform a calibration.

Does the keyboard lights and fan turn on forever or the device turns off after certain time?

Gave the laptop to geek squad bestbuy for repair. They reset cmos but it didn’t help. They rechecked by putting my old parts like battery and ram individually and that didn’t help too. They tried swapping all my new and old parts combination and it also didn’t help.

Then they said they removed the battery and ram and directly started the system from onboard soldered 8gb ram and direct power from charger and it booted. Then they put my battery and ram back and it works. The technician couldn’t figure the issue but he solved it and now it’s working. They went through 10 power cycles and confirm it’s working.

Anyone know the reason? Do I need to contact Lenovo to swap the motherboard to avoid this issue in future?
