Model : Legion T7-34IMZ5
problem: i factory reset my pc so I could add a silicon power 4tb m.2 ssd to it. i added it and downloaded hitman 3 on it. it nows says the cpu is throttling and the maximum frequency on cpu no longer hits 100%. there is a lag and stutter when i play anything and frequncey never goes above 30 %. i can no longer play a game and watch a video at same time. did i mess something up with the install
I have tried: to reduce the maximum tempature (did nothing) switch it back
turned off turbo in bios (did nothing ) switch it back
tried to reinstall windows locally ( didnt help the problem)
ran many troubleshooters around cpu and everything said no issues found
Problem Start: after i factory reset it
i installed the sillicon power 4tb m.2 ssd. (after it started getting laggy i deleted the games off of it and took it out my pc.) idk what i did wrong plz help.

Try to remove cmos battery for 1-2 minutes then reinstall

Or find the clear cmos header and short it for 15-30s

clearing cmos is a pretty standard troubleshooting technique.

Cmos provides memory saving capabilities for bios, bios controls how motherboard behaves so including cpu

#

Clearing cmos means clearing bios settings to default

#

If the reason of your cpu behaving like this is corrupted or wrong bios value then cmos reset will fix it
