Hi, since yesterday I am owner of a 7945HX Legion Pro 5 (ordered in Germanys Lenovo shop).
I am quite happy with the CPU performance so far.

Here some first numbers (graphic benchmarks and longer CB23 runs later):

No undervolting so far, factory BIOS, laptop on raiser stand.

Performance Mode

Vantage settings: PPL 145W, STPL 125W, LTPL 105W
Measured with HwInfo: First 135-140W, then 125-130W
Noise head-level: 50-51db
Hitting thermal limit on some cores (100C)

CB23 Single Run: 34221
CB23 10 Min Run: coming

Balance Mode

Vantage settings: PPL 102W, STPL 85W, LTPL 70W
Measured with HwInfo: First 105W, then lowering to 87W, then 72-73W
Noise head-level: First 44db, then lowers to 38db
Low temperatures (70-75 C)

Quiet Mode

Vantage settings: PPL 75W, STPL 65W, LTPL 55W
Measured with HwInfo: First 77W, then lowering to 67W, then 57W
Noise head-level: <35db
Very low temperatures (65 C)

On high wattage yes, the lower the wattage the better the 7945HX gets. I will surely make some experiments with undervolting later.

I installed Legion Toolkit and it works great. I could significantly lower the noise in high wattage modes (with higher temperatures ofc). The original Lenovo Vantage tool didn't let me lower the fan settings much
