#My Legion 5 Pro keeps restarting itself without warning. Anyone else had this problem?

Hello.

I've had my L5P (AMD - 3070) for about a year now I think without issue, but in the past week or two my laptop has just starting restarting itself. No blue screens or warning. Just off and the rebooting. For a while I fixed it by switching to Quiet mode instead of Performance mode, but now it's happening there too.

It's on a cooling pad and i'm not playing any games - so I don't think it's an overheating issue. It still plays games fine, it just seems to happen randomly while browsing the web.

Anyone else had anything similar? Is there a piece of software I can download that will record telemetry and crash reports maybe?

Thanks

It crashed again at 11:37 - so I had a look and all I could find that was critical was this

You can try to DDU your driver and install a recommended version. Guide in #1020285176531669012

I have that a go and it still seems to be happening.

It seems to happen when I'm on my web browser (brave).

It just crashed 4 times in a row. I would launch, open the browser and within a minute it would crash.

So I booted PC again and this time just loaded MW2. No crashing. So I don't think it's hardware related - a game running on max would definitely trigger something like that right?

So I'm thinking it's something to do with my browser somehow?

It got much worse. Turns out it was happening outside of the browsers too. It then started doing it more often and some times before I even got past the log in screen. Now I just get a loop of the Lenovo logo - it won't go in to windows.

Is this a dead SSD maybe?

I was thinking that too, but it also restarted while I was I the blue troubleshoot screen while I was looking at options :/

I'll try and get in it now,

Yes I can get in to the bios

Ya ok. Was gonna suggest a fresh install.

I'm completely lost at this point.
I bought a new SSD so I could clone my hard drive and save the data.
So I did a reset and chose the option that made it download a new version from windows to install from. It would now let me log in and get to the desktop. All my apps are gone, my data is still there luckily, and it's a new install of windows. But about an hour in to using it, it did the laptop restart again. So it can't be windows and it can't be the SSD.
I'm still in warranty with Lenovo, I guess I should just send it in? It has to be something else, and it constantly restarting probably caused windows to break and degrade - making it look like windows was at fault.

The only other thing it could be is the RAM, but ram issues usually show some sort of blue screen error right?

Reset is windows try to install itself again, with whatever it still keep

#

Meaning corrupted files can be kept on the machine.

Cloud reset, maybe it's the closest to a clean install, but not quite
