#Games crashing on brand new Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 with RTX 4070

Model: Legion Pro 5 16IRX8

Describe the issue: when playing games the laptop will freeze up, after a few seconds it will respond again but the game i was playing will have crashed (tried with apex legends and elden ring)

What have you tried already: removing drivers with DDU and tried various driver versions from nvidia. updating drivers from the lenovo support website. reformatted from windows 11 to windows 10. ran stress tests and the lenovo diagnostics tool everything passed. so many small fixes i found on forums when googling that i cant remember them all.

When did it start producing the issue: its been an issue from when i got the laptop. didnt notice at first because i dont play a ton of games and it doesnt instantly happen. can sometimes only play for 3 minutes sometimes for an hour and be fine.

Did you install new drivers or software: yes. a lot. all the newest drivers from the lenovo website except currently different graphics drivers but i tried those from the website too.

Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue: https://imgur.com/a/rGFM9qo these are the errors i get in event viewer. the image of the error popup at the bottom only rarely happens.

i installed windows 11, once again uninstalled drivers with DDU and put on a different version (531.41) and it still crashes. does anyone have any more suggestions or am i going to have to ship my laptop back to the US to use the warranty?

does anyone know how lenovo usually handles these kinds of situation with warranty? am i gonna have to wrestle with them/get ignored or will they actually fix it/send me a unit that works?
