#Strange GPU temps after repaste with conductonaut.

After repeated benches it is coming down now, GPU temp after a Heaven bench run was 62c and the HS was 77. It just concerns me as the difference between the 2 was only every about 6c and now its 15c I had it hit 89c on the HS earlier too.
probably some freak problem then
It is pretty odd tbh. Are generally lower at idle, CPU temps have dropped nicely, chances are the VRMs and VRAM is much cooler now it is all getting cooled. It's just the strange surge in the Hotspot temp. At what point do I need to get worried? I mean I could probably repaste the GPU with PTM 7950, i'd be pissed if the temps still did that though haha
High hotspot means uneven application
So do that with what you want
Though tbh liquid metal for daily is not really worth it
Mmmm, pretty sure I made even covering with LM.
If the cooling assembly is wonky, would that do it? I mean I can strip it down and reapply it
If it’s good now, no need to
I wasn't convinced it was OK. From a 6c difference in temps to between 10-15c, didn't sit well with me. I stripped it again, cleaned up the cooling assembly and the dies themselves. The LM did look a little strange tbh, used a fresh pack instead made sure everything was covered ( I did that anyway, but you know just to be sure) All buttoned up and she's fine now, cooler than before and back to that same 6c difference.
I can only guess that there must have been contamination in the LM.
