Model: Legion 5i i7 12th Gen - 82RB0056US

Describe the issue: Laptop screen remains black but keyboard lights are up and flashing from left to right direction. I was gaming when all of a sudden, laptop froze and keys were unresponsive, tried to press power button for a few seconds to force a reboot, and after turning it back on, it resulted in the current problem.

What have you tried already?: EC refresh / reboot, blind BIOS, tried connecting to another screen
When did it start producing the issue: 30 minutes ago.

Did you install new drivers or software?: None apart from an MSI afterburner update 2 days ago, driver updates were done weeks ago when I received the device. The latest action made yesterday was turning off Hybrid mode since I'm always plugged in while using the laptop.

Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue: Yes

Is it a new? It may have lenovo premium support, and a technician can come to your address to fix that problem in no time, but first you have to make a call to lenovo premium support in your country.

@low geyser Did you find any solution? I have the same issue but it works on a external display. Did you try it?

I have the same issue mate

Contacted Lenovo via chat today and they diagnosed that it's possible that the motherboard might be the issue, and the bad news is since I purchased this from the US, they can't honor the warranty - so I will have to pay for it (And looking at the estimated prices of the motherboards - they cost almost the same as the laptop itself). Unsure what may have made them go into that conclusion but I'll try and see if using a new RAM kit will resolve which is a way cheaper possible solution to the issue - if not, might as well chuck this laptop off a bridge.

Same issue mate luckily sent mine in for repair today, heard horror stories about them being really shit with repairs too 😄

Came back from the repair shop today and they tried to pinpoint exactly what the issue is, RAM / BIOS and other peripherals were ok but they found this.

They said that this part might need replacement, would there be a specific part for that or does this mean that I'll have to replace the whole board?
