Model: Lenovo Legion 5 5ACH6H

Describe the issue: Noticed that G-sync doesn't show up with my gaming monitor Asus TUF VG27A or with my laptop alone (I understand with just the laptop monitor it supports freesync with hybrid mode on but I manly game on the external monitor)
What have you tried already?: Updated all windows and Nvidia drivers. Turned Hybrid mode OFF, only displayed on external monitor and restarted the PC. HOWEVER I currently only have an HDMI cable, so I would like to assume that if I get a display port to USB-C to connect on the back of the Lenovo Legion it will show up G-sync on the Nvidia control panel. risitasnervous cringe

When did it start producing the issue: Just noticed

Did you install new drivers or software?: Recommended updates

Have you tried in dGPU mode?

Oh nvm just noticed you did mb

Best thing you could try doing is completely uninstall the gpu driver with a tool like nvcleanstall and doing a clean install or doing a DDU then reinstall the driver something might have gotten corrupted and stayed that way

#

Before buying anything else a clean install of the gpu driver might fix this

What is your exact model? It’s identified with an MTM number. It can be found on the bottom of the laptop. Some 15ACH6H don’t have gsync.

I’ve had gsync work over hdmi though.

But I don’t think it’s guaranteed.

Usbc to dp will be the safer bet.

Just noticed the other models that do, waiting for the cable to arrive tomorrow. At the same time, I understand HDMI is not "regularly" to work with g sync but who knows xd.

Yes that should work. I ended up using dp because of hdmi capping refresh rate at 144
