I have a Legion 7 2021 with a Ryzen 9 processor and an RTX 3080. I am getting 98 c on the CPU with a peak of 102 c, while the GPU reaches 87 c. all of this while only gaming. In addition, I tried to reinstall AMD and Nvidia drivers from the Lenovo website, but that didn't work.

Do I need to reinstall windows, because I tried everything that I could. The only thing remaining is a fresh windows install from Lenovo Media recovery.

It turns out that the heatsink was dusty. Cleaning the fan was not enough, the heatsink has dust blocking some of the air exhaust path. I used the air blower to unblock it. Now my laptop doesn't reach 90 c anymore. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜

It was powerful enough. This was my first time using an air blower can.

never knew that was a thing

#

i assume it like fully powers the laptop down so it doesn't get shorted or something?

#

i dont think blowing compressed air would clean the fans, just open the case and clean fans with a brush

# polar fulcrum fans are soldered to the vapor chamber block

No idea what do you mean by that and I don't know if it is soldered or not. All what I had is a dirty fan and a partially blocked heatsink that was causing the problem. I tried cleaning the fan only and it didn't solve the problem. After that I realized that the heatsink was partially blocked.
