Game crashes after playing 4-5 hrs continuously.
I have seen this happen for qbt 10-11 times with me while playing Assassin's creed oddessy and GTA V online.

After that even if I try to reopen the game, it crashes immediately..
I have to turn off my laptop and wait for some time to play again.

I'm not able to understand this issue. I thought it's about GPU power usage issue but I have checked the hardware from Vantage app, it gives clean results.

Is there any way to get a direction what is going wrong?

firstly is your laptop on a laptop stand to prevent overheating and thermal throttling. secondly what model of computer, how long have you had it etc. when did this issue first occur

Yeah I use a basic laptop stand. The model details of the laptop are as follows:

Model: Legion 5 AMD ryzen 7 5800H 2021 model
Memory: 16 GB Ram
Graphics: 6 GB NVIDIA 3060 Rtx
Window 11 build 22621

It has been 5 months I have been using this machine. Bought it in May 2022.

This issue has been occuring since the week I bought it. First I thought that it occurred because I was playing the cracked version of Assassin's creed but, later it occurred on the genuine version of GTA V as well.

The store manager performed some battery optimization settings when I bought it. shd that matter?

Have you monitored your temps to make sure it isn’t overheating?

Your laptop could have come with a faulty part such as the heat sink which doesn’t allow it to continue under sustained loads?

Msi afterburner (not using the application to modify your cpu or gpu performance but instead using it for rivertuner analytics)

I would start there

#

Through that you can see your cpu usage, gpu usage, their temps and your fps frame time etc. it means you can monitor what is happening near when it is about to crash

That’s a good starting point. Instead of asking for help here I would first go to Lenovo support and fill in a support request, they can use their professional knowledge to diagnose your problem and potentially ask you to send it in for repair or replacement.

Actually, the problem is I am pursuing my post graduation and I am in constant need of a laptop to carry out my assignments and all. Also, my college is 1.5 hrs drive from the city. If they ask to return the Laptop, traveling is another headache.

If it came out the box that way it could be a defective heat sink, Ik of some cases where a screw was loose or missing which cause overheating. But if he opens up the laptop he might void warranty idk

Cause I woulda thought the same but he says it was defective from day 1 idk. But at the same time if his heat sink was defective why does his laptop only last 4 hours, wouldn’t it depend on the type of game idk.

Just an update, I talked to Lenovo premium care telephonically. They would try to reinstall the OS tomorrow.

I'm a bit skeptical of this solution but, hope if that fixes the issue, idk.

btw, my chrome also gets crashed in between repeatedly and gives me this issue.

Aw snap, out of memory even when only 40% usage of memory is there.
