good question. To start we have a club program to help clubs earn points when members buy gear. That way the club can purchase gear, prizes, etc. https://yoyotricks.com/skill-toy-club-program
First thing is to decide where you are going to meet and when. And then find a few people to get started with (they can be new people, it doesn't matter). For me, I always ran clubs in public parks, etc. This got attention and slowly people would join just from watching.
Others here might have other ideas to get it going.

Putting the question out here for now to see if there might be interest in a Columbus, Ohio Yoyo club or meetup. There's a Facebook page for a former group, but they haven't been active in a little over a year now it seems. I'm trying to talk to them about whether or not there's interest in starting back up, but I'm not opposed to starting something fresh so long as there is some interest.

I see I don’t have permission to post my own post yet so I guess I’ll do it here regardless of visibility, and (shot in the dark)
but trying to make a Rhode Island yo-yo club. If anyone’s interested, engagement is the first step and I’m happy to talk about it.
I see there was some engagement in RI a few years back but it looks like there’s nothing public facing anymore. It seems like a small enough state to have a statewide club I’d be happy to help hold and if anyone has more info or anything else they wanna contribute, let me know!
