#Bring Overworld Back to Mac — Don’t Leave Supporters Behind 🔥

Hey Illuvium team and community,

I’m a long-time Illuvium supporter and bought a more powerful Mac a while ago in part to play Overworld. I was beyond excited for the latest update — ready to explore, hunt, and finally use my fuel and blueprints from my plot in Illuvium Zero to craft skins. But I hit a wall: Mac support is gone.

Here’s the thing — macOS was supported from the beginning. A working version existed. Now as Mac users we’re left in the lurch, unable to play the game we backed and believed in.

I understand resources are tight, but Illuvium needs all the support it can get — and Mac users are an important part of this community ( @weak basin, @zenith tusk, @snow plank , @lucid sphinx , @worthy drift ...). Even @hard plaza can’t play Overworld due to the lack of Mac updates — and he has done so much for Illuvium.

Please consider bringing back Mac support. We’re asking for a path back into the world we support.

Agreed, this is yet another "promise made, promise easily broken" branding that Illuvium has become known for.

i feel for eveyone owning just apple products.
But there is very good reasoning pausing the mac support.
The amount of dev time is insane to have access to the 1% playerbase owning mac's
And if we short on anything, it's devtime.

I would say the Dev blog could serve as a practical means that exists but was practically abandoned after Aaron said he would regularly contribute to it in August. Then, Aaorn never made another post. A material change such as this in the product should be communicated by the chief executives as to why the strategy changed if you want to be perceived as professional and trustworthy in the future management of the company.

# neon gull so you would rather have a blog than an announcement?

My view is that OW pause should have been handled and communicated professionally by the admins. The "branding reputational cost" for the DAO is probably in the millions because of the way it was handled (no way to quantify it). In addressing the OW pivot, they should have addressed matters such as MacOS no longer being supported and why.

It's also not forever, i guess they will take it back in the dev cycle, but probably not anytime soon
