I don't think that the fusion should be the end game content for an illuvial.
The idea is as follows:
- the soul stones/gems/runes
- each illuvial has soul stone slots
- s1 has 1 slot, s2 has 2 slots and s3 illuvials have 3 slots
- burn the same illuvial + fuel + leviathan blood (from raids) to craft the infused soul gem
This opens a more strategic play and individuality.
We can go one of two ways. Either each gem gives + certain stat, either gives some effect like augments
Stats:
- +10% certain stat
- you have to choose which one you want as you only have 3 max slots
- maybe one wants for malura health, atk speed and atk dmg, while others will equip it with omega instead of health
Effects:
- gem of life (heal/s)
- gem of power (extra op)
- gem of fury ( stacking atk speed)
- gem of protection (shield) , etc.
Maybe make them bounded to the illuvials.
Pros:
- more content
- more individuality between illuvials
- decisions might be worth more than pure stats
- not affecting the base stats
Cons:
- people disagreeing
