Seems possible for combining existing but not minted assets, e.g, holo blazing rhamphyre with a t5 st 3 background, as both exist just not combined.
Producing completely unminted assets though, like a holo terrifying phosphorus, regardless of background, i'm sure only the team are capable of that.
Seems like potentially a lot of work as well.
Could be wrong though.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work this way; accessories almost always devalue the illuvitar so it’s not as simple as adding accessories price + illuvitar price. You can look at sales of bonded illuvitars to confirm this. And no, it’s not my fault they’re selling for those prices 😅

Bonding in most cases does devalue it. You can never get back the sum of it's parts.

But i also want to highlight that if you have high power illuvitar then overall it increases the valuation of it because of LB demand

What are you thinking? Like a missions type thing for BEYOND. Weekly tasks like "Fuse 5 accessories to a T4 Illuvitar", "Find 5 holos", "Find 3 rare expressions"
Something like this will fuel or ILV rewards?

Thank you for your attention. I think it would be interesting to consider introducing simple weekly missions.
For example: "Find a Zephyrlynx (common EXP, uncommon EXP, and/or rare EXP) and earn X points" or "Find a Holo Zephyrlynx and earn X points."
In the same week, you could include other Illuvitars and objectives, such as equipping 5 accessories, etc.
At the end of the week, the top 50/100 players receive a small reward — this could be Fuel or ILV, but also Disks or ADRs for Overworld.

Or you could create a separate leaderboard for this hunt, where the top 100 players win a prize.
Some missions could be simple, while others more challenging — for example: "Find 5/10/20 Holos" or "Find Octius or Phosphorus."
The goal is to sell more Disks and attract new players, with two exclusive leaderboards for Wave 4 (you must not use old Illuvitars).
And since players will be opening Disks, there’s also a higher potential return for the DAO.

Make the max time an offer can be made to one month and change all current offers to one month. That will clean up all the offer pages..well in a month 😉

Zkevm is the most logical choice

The relationship illuvium has with imx is like a marriage… would be pretty devastating to migrate to a completely different chain. With zkevm there would be additional support for a migration and familiarity.

I'm not a dev, but i guess it's not easy to migrate to solana and keep developping with rust instead of solidity. And i don't know which one is more suited for game ecosystems.
But the outages, consumberbase and majority of projects on there would make it a nono for me.

Lil gives good advice, and yes eventually you might want to bond every expression but first focus on the expression with the most base points, usually rare or a holo. Also there is a ton of bonded for sale in the secondary, often below the unbonded price or even the cost of the acc. on it so check that out also before you bond

You're right, i'm not a dev... but that doesn't mean i can't look at this topic critically, based on research and facts, rather than just opinions.
And yes, absolutely, rust might be a fantastic language. But the programming language is only one factor in the bigger picture of migrating a large scale Web3 game like Illuvium. It's not just about "what's the best language," it's about:

• development costs & timeline
• talent availability
• ecosystem maturity
• security track record
• market access & player base
• interoperability
• dependencies
• etc.

Sure, ETH had major growing pains like for example outages, hacks, scalability issues. That's how ecosystems mature.
But we're not comparing early ETH to today's Solana (or Starknet). We should comparing them all now, with the lessons learned from every chains past in mind.
So dismissing concerns about outages or centralization on Solana by pointing at ETH's 2016 struggles misses kinda the point, don't you think?

There's no "perfect" chain, it's all about tradeoffs, timing, and what's sustainable for Illuvium long term. Rust might be awesome, but it's irrelevant if the chain lacks reliability, users, or dev support... or it's simply too much of a lift for current workforce. Maybe there aren't even any devs in the current team with rust experience. (which is kinda likely, since we don't build on rust currently)
Happy to hear your take, but let's debate based on facts, not assumptions about what people do or don't know 🙂 .

But i think you misunderstood my point a bit.
it's not about the user deciding based on the tech, it's about how the tech affects:

• Speed of development
• Quality & stability of the product
• Ability to attract/retain devs
• Security risks
• Long-term sustainability

Those things do impact the enduser experience, even if indirectly.
If migrating to a chain requires rewriting huge amounts of code in a language the team isn’t experienced with, it slows development, introduces bugs, and delays features etc.
That is what users notice.

Same goes for outages, scalability, and ecosystem health. Rregular gamers don't care if it's Rust, Solidity, Solana, IMX or whatever...
But they sure care if the game lags, wallets stop working, or they can't trade assets.

What drives adoption is a combination of so many factors:

• Smooth onboarding
• Reliability
• Access to marketplaces & players
• Developer momentum
• Longterm confidence in the chain's future
• etc.

...just to mention a few.
The tech stack isn't everything, but it directly influences those factors.

It’s not "Rust good, Solidity bad" or "Solana good, IMX bad"
If Illuvium needs to migrate, it’s about making the whole package work, not just chasing a trendy language, TPS number or whatever Buzz-metric your favorite X-shiller is promoting.

Hi guys. Been tinkering the past few weeks and put together a little Illuvitar based tower defense game - am a longtime fan of old school warcraft TD games 🙂
It's built on Phaser and since i don't have infinite time there's some limitations: desktop only, no sound, fully client-side (no serious anti-cheat) and probably a few bugs.

You can log in with Passport or any wallet; it loads your 200 strongest unbonded Illuvitars + accessories if you have any. Also put up a simple leaderboard.
(there's also a demo mode that loads the Illuvitars+accessories people have donated to my leaderboard address if you just wanna try it out)

This was mostly a personal challenge to see how hard it would be to give our illuvitars some utility, hopefully this can inspire others (I know a few are already working/teasing other similar ideas ;))
Am thinking at some point d1sks prizes for the top players, more levels and layouts, think about bonded illuvitars... but gotta get back to work for now.

There will be a balancing mechanism to account for large power differentials.

Over the past year, my team and I have been working on an Illuvium Trading Card Game called DroneStone.

It draws inspiration from some of the most iconic TCGs and CCGs—like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hearthstone, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Duel Masters, Shadowverse, and more.

@potent tulip since you are the godfather of Beyond now, I really liked how the ADR guarenteed a high illuvial after a certain amount of disk openings. So if you did 8 adr openings you were guarenteed a holo or dark holo for example. One of the worst parts of the disk openings in beyond is that if you hit a cold run it can suck-remember Kieran's tragic 180 disk live stream opening with all sucking for the most part? If you could add a mechanic to beyond disks like the adr has where if you open a number of disks in a row you are guaranteed a certain rarity, still fitting with current odds, but ending the run of 80 disks in a row with crap. Thanks 🙂
