that can't be, its only 21 illuvials, even if you have them all at 5k points its only 105k total

Yah it's kinda weird... I think it's only the highest points of ONE Illuvitar per rarity of wave 3. I noticed that if I bonded two of the same lynx (let's say both uncommon) and fit them into different slots one of them didn't increase wave three points. At least that's what I noticed... could have been a bug. But seems like it only recognizes ONE of each wave 3 illuvitar.

Every sleeve with a wave 3 illuvial in it should count towards your total.
Definitely need clarity here though as many have mentioned, as if this is not the case we do need to know precisely which slots actually do count towards Wave 3 leaderboard points.

I don't think interest has decreased, many people are back from the previous leaderboard and plenty of new faces as well. But it makes total sense that interest in expensive pieces has declined.

The new reward structure incentivises points even more than the previous one, and there is a serious chunk of prize money on the line. You can get a lot of points for the price of buying 1 rare holo so its hard to justify sinking that much into 1 piece rather than improving the strength of your collection.

The same forces work with the general market too. We are in the beginning of the real bull, many people choose to not sell their tokens before the runup for a collectible, imo.

The wave leaderboard should be a way to appeal to new players but without weekly rewards it ain't doing it. New players look at this space and find it daunting and very hard to commit as they see it as a whale's game.

For example, if we were to have weekly snapshots for both leaderboards players would have to choose if they wanted to sleeve their current wave illuvitars or have older ones that may be more powerful in order to get more points for the legacy leaderboard.

Really? I was about to complain about it, it now takes 3 clicks to get to the marketplace from looking at a specific illuvitar... Even if you hover your mouse over the Beyond/Trading button, it takes you to the illuvial section, instead of illuvitars, then you have to choose Beyond from the dropdown menu, which then takes you to the disks, so you have to click again just to get to the illuvitar marketplace... Much more effort then the previous one, imo 😅

Maybe these people have been collecting the watches and thereby would be a good fit for beyond where you collect NFTs.

If we were to market Arena or overworld I would say the same thing as you of course. For Beyond, however, I can see what the marketing team is trying to do.

Now I dont know whether it will go the way they expect it to. Beyond is based around giving usability in games after all. But before giving some benefits, those games first require some polish before becoming enticing to new gamers. Until the games are widely adopted, Beyond functionality is limited. But that is the obvious fate of a supplementary collection such as this 🙂

you need to update illuvidex filters than. there is no way to differentiate w3 t0 from w1&2 t0. you can't filter them by wave (since they are all t0 wave), and you also can't filter them by background since that filter is missing. It is really hard to find what you are missing/need that way

I think this is a bug. Everywhere you sleeve a wave 3 illuvitar, it should be counting towards your score.
To maximise score we will need to collect and bond all wave 3 tier 0's. Need to really think about accessory slots too.
Love the dynamics of the 2 leaderboards. Does add a new dimension and some fresh dilemmas.

Adding a specific wave filter for tier 0's is very much need.
Very difficult to locate the ones you need on secondary as you have to scroll through them all.

I think the only t0 that should count towards this wave are the new wave 3 backgrounds, or the three slots. Unless you are going to create a whole new wave 3 background total album just for zeros

That is what I think is logical too. But if they go to the same address, some time after the sale the ETH that goes to the promo partner would need to be sent out, messing with the amount on that address. The same goes for revdis being paid out during the wave.

To be clear, I am not suggesting in any way that we would be shortchanged somehow, but it would be good to know the details, just so everyone knows how it's handled. We've had some hiccups in the past due to details not being clear so just trying to avoid another situation like we had with the LB rewards pause not too long ago...

Another detail that would be nice for motivation is if the team would update the starting amount in the wave 3 reward section every week or so. Changing the default 2000 ILV to the new minimum number as we go. People would see the progress and would be even more incentivised to compete.

A live total would be ideal that pulls live sales data in. For every ETH received in revenue, the total automatically updates with 10 ILV. That way everyone can see the total pool update in real time.

Imagine if the pool was 3000 ILV now instead of the 2000 ILV that is advertised. That would be a wasted marketing opportunity as most people wont have a clue that the pool was in fact 50% larger.
The larger the prize pool, the more funds people can justify spending.
The more ILV in the pool and the higher the price of ILV goes, the more demand for disks/illuvitars/accessories we are likely to see, especially the closer we get to the end of the wave. Things could get a little nutty, conditions allowing.

I do have a couple more suggestions. Not sure if others may agree but I think they're worth noting, at least from my perspective.

Having the total prize pool large and prominent at the top of the page would help with awareness.
If feels like your'e digging through small print to find this info out right now, when it should be the most prominent piece of info on the page. A large graphic with large font "Total Prize Pool", Live updating total would be ideal as mentioned above for Wave 3.

From the website alone, I don't think it is that obvious that we have 2 leaderboards. I think instead of the current toggle switch (which almost feels hidden), we should just have two separate pages, one for each leaderboard, both accessible through the menu.
In the current menu the link text is "Leaderboard", when I think this should be "Leaderboards", this menu item should contain a sub menu when hovered/clicked, which links to both leaderboards listed "Legacy Leaderboard" and "Wave 3 Leaderboard".
This way you cannot access a leaderboard without being fully aware that there are 2. Both of which will have different prize pools/rewards structures etc prominently advertised.

Both of these features I think will go a long way in providing a lot more clarity and a generally better user experience, which should lead to higher participation.

can't do that atm, you'll have to play around with filters.
the estimated value is a pain... i simply took floor prices for a bunch of criteria and added bonuses for backgrounds. it's hard to maintain, it's why IM opted for a more robust model. the original intent of the site (when i only had rankings + estimated value) was to give people a rough idea of what it would cost to make it to the top 20/50/100, not to give 100% accurate estimates.

Also I'm curious if being able to search for something like the power divided by price would be helpful, as a tool for someone just looking for leaderboard power. I'm thinking this wave, especially at the end, may have a lot of people looking to upgrade slots in their album at the cheapest amount. I'm just not sure if this option would be kinda worthless or not.

I think the main issue with people not investing in the project anymore is that there is too many points to reach a good place within the two LBs...

It almost looks like a Wager Race into an online Casino where poor people does not stand a chance to ramp up the LBs...

I think a good idea to be bringing more people is to make a separated third Leaderboard that would resets every month when a reward snapshot is distributed, that way, every one could have a chance to get a good spot based on their activity within Beyond every month...

Now we just need to find a proper way to set that in place and a good "gameplay" to innovate...
