The only way to earn anything that i know of is by winning tournaments, created by the team or content creators around Illuvium. There is f.e. a tournament with a total prize of 2000$ on the second of december if i'm not mistaken.

they are PFP's: Profile Pictures -> Illuvial based - Avatars (illuvi-tars)
You use them to present yourself in a way that reflects your personality. Do you need them? no. They look cool though, and they can be used in-game ás PFP's.

There are also plans to ideate a new cardgame that uses Illuvials (the monsters) and the Illuvitars as assets that affect its gameplay. "plans" doesn't mean reality. They haven't shared the Game design document yet. It's still just an idea.

Your album would easily be in the top 50 if accessories where used. Very nice! Not only does it look great keeping them original, but for the long game it would be better to not rush into bonding until everyone else has committed to theirs so you know exactly what is needed to take a top spot.

Eventually yes - when Wave 6 ends and there are no more slots to fill, it comes down to who has the most powerful holo cards in each and every slot. You can play short term with cheap cards that are all efficiently pimped out and only swap it out once you fall too far behind., but over the course of the game a rip & replace strategy ends up being more expensive because you spend twice on accessories and most will have little resale value and the better cards get harder to find. It is better to just be patient, collect quality and put in the best native cards you can afford, save up all your accessories and at the end get a lock on what you would need to bond to one up your rivals so that you win in the end game.

Overall yes, very good deal. But depends on how many d1sks you plan to buy. L1 fees pile up rather ruthlessly sometimes.

I know right it just cost me $17 on Uniswap to convert ETH to SILV2 and then I got hit for spending cap of $30 to deposit onto IMX and then another $7 in deposit fees to get it into my IMX this is not going to be good for adoption

You could also add funds with Moonpay (aka fiat), but that conversion rate is not great (euphemism) and I think it gets blocked half the time (but that could just be me).

Why is it now that when you select an avatar from the album and want to bond it, that avatar doesnt automatically populate into the bonding page and you have to add it manually. This makes it time consuming.

I selected one to bond and as you can see by the screenshot its not there after selecting bond.

in standards you can get lucky and get something good, in megas it's a bit easier to get something good
but you can buy 5 standards for the price of 1 so...

Standards are nice for the personal rewards but imo lack the punch of getting high-quality assets. You may get a regular synalph or a holo Intense monarch, but mega's allow you higher value stuff.

Because of that I enjoy Mega's more. But i would divided it in two:
Regulars for the rewards and probably best if you want a very avarage album. You easily get stuff up to T3 S3. But higher than that is tricky.
Mega's are more focused on the high-end stuff but you can only buy a few of them for the same value (1 /6) so you probably will have an incomplete album but with more unique stuff.

A mix is good. I opened ~250 each and got a solid Album 🙂

It is a big gamble, but if you are already betting on Illuvium success, then Beyond is an interesting part of the ecosystem to play in. I do think the cast of characters they created have the legs to go very very far, and that Beyond has the most flexibility because the characters have been humanised very well and are most likeable... Everyone concedes that even those swarms of Lynx's, stupid Kukkas and annoying Archies start out as pests but end up growing on you after a while.

Is the most efficient way to simply communicate and then list for large prices, offer and accept at the agreed upon price or is there a better way to trade NFTs? I'm still new to the NFT world. Yes you can remove the illuvitars from the album after you add them there.
You can sell illuvitars even when they are "sleeved" in your album on the official site and immutable marketplace, but also other third party websites on IMX such as Tokentrove, Illuvialmaster and Illuvidata.

You will get points to climb the leaderboard if you add illuvitars to the album. When you get top 100, you will gain weekly ILV rewards.
When the game goes live, completing collections will also grant you aesthetical perks/features. The specifics of these perks arent made public/official yet.
They will be Album-bound. So if you remove an Illuvitar from your collection, you will lose the perk!

It would either increase or decrease the value of Accessories if you could split them off of an illuvitar.

On one hand you could increase their value if you burnt all accessories when you split. But since there is a similar amount of accessories as illuvitars it would skew the available assets towards a oversupply of illuvitars.

You could also reduce the price of accessories if you dont burn them, as a player would only need up to X amount of accessories to bond everything
If they bond and find something new then they can just split and bond again! Problem solved! And thereby reduce the value of accessories.

Now there are also intentions to burn Accessories and Illuvitars for essence. Im OK with that, but from my standpoint, burning one ór the other would imbalance the system.

I prefer no ability to unbond because it alters the current strategy or situation for existing players on leaderboard. Some people make a decision to forgo short term rewards in order to take a more long term position in their album and some collectors have been buying pristine cards assumed to be one of a kind. I would prefer splitting, without burning, it would keep the balance, for example, some very beautiful avatars are filled with accessories in excess, I understand that the mechanics of splitting require both the experience and effort of crypto programmers, but it is possible to implement this feature for a small fee

i would also be for splitting if i haven't previously spent few thousand $ so that i could bond and be top 100 on leaderboard. and no, splitting would not keep the balance, it would destroy it. Those few thousands i have spent would be gone in the wind. Changing strategy now, after the fact is just nonsense. But if you are new to the system i can understand why you think this would be a good idea. As i have said, this would be good, if only it was available from start, so people could base their strategy on that information.
