Oh also am curious, will there be accessories in future seasons? I find myself feeling like accessories are a bit of an anti-pattern… I love the artwork but find if I want to “cost-effectively” compete on the leaderboard I have to “ruin” the art typically. Not sure if it would work to just have illuvitars have differentiation due to finish/expression/background but I think I would love looking at my collection more if it was in that direction. Not sure if I’m in the majority or minority here, just my thoughts as a fan of the artwork and a fan of leaderboard rewards

To be clear I work on the team but I am not the brains believe me. But you are correct @coral moth has gone through and rectified all the systems and brought everything up to date. Its worth mentioning volume is still extremely low so even if the estimated value feels good, it aint exactly liquid

I think extending the leaderboard to include some lower value rewards would significantly increase liquidity of the lower rarity illuvitars significantly. There is essentially no reason for anyone to buy these unless they are stockpiling them like the Altas Syndicate. But happy for this to wait until post- open beta.

But people buying disks with ETH is better for the DAO anyway so I expect this was part of the intention behind the changes to drop rates. To incentivise opening them. But also affects liquidity on the secondary.

Agreed. Some of us have been asking to extend the leaderboard and give some minor rewards since wave 1

I think the disk purchase rewards are really good this wave but yeah extending the leaderboard with some kind of rewards is something we should really do for Wave 3

I think If someone wrote out a really thought out IIP it would pass

giving players a reason not to just buy disk but start sleaving them and working to get their points up is a really powerful way to keep players involved.

I know I probably wouldent have stayed involved as I am in Beyond if it wasent for the Rewards. And guess what I did with all my ILV rewards from being on the leaderboard, I bought wave 2 D1sk 😁

plus we don't even know what wave 3 pricing will be; from wave one to two the disk prices dropped a lot; they could drop again, so the value you are getting will drop, and is 6 months out in the future....I agree the other non-disk rewards probably have more lasting benefit, so one account will help you do that better, and not drive you crazy when it comes time to sell, put them in an album, etc. 😉

Yes I believe bonding will double power if you use 5 of the 10% accessories. So varies a bit with what will be used. In the scenario above, I'd say even more than 1.3 mil as if you haven't bonded anything, you also have all the accessory slots to fill 😉

ahh that happens sometimes to me as well. I think it is our ip blocking. If you query to many times it will time out an IP for like 5 min I think? I will look into extending how many calls you can make before it hits that threshold.

We're probably passed peak D1SK opening per day for a while now, supply can start to dry up quite aggressively on a constantly churning leaderboard. Accessory supply gets hammered a lot harder than Illuvitar supply as Accessories get burned permanently on bonding.

How about this idea Ladies and Gentlemen … If anyone here is familiar with HRO, they have a crafting mechanism in place. Every so often, they introduce a limit edition card and they dictate what needs to be burnt or fused to acquire this card. I think we can all benefit if Illuvium Beyond introduces a similar mechanism. Imagine if every so often, ILV says that you can get a limited edition Tier Illuvitar. For that edition, lets say T1, you are require to burn 100 T1s. When you burn those T1s, you get a limited edition pack. That pack will give you a preannounced familiar T1 with limited edition accessory and background. It can be structured differently depending on the Tier and the finish. This will drive the secondary market up and give another utility, collection and sink incentive. Thoughts?

That's a reasonable idea. The amount of lower tier illuvitars that are up for sale (or just sitting in a collection) is enormous. It's possible that it gets popular enough for all of them to find a home, but the ability to fuse them (or call it what you want) to get something better would probably generate a lot of interest. I think there should still be an element of surprise to it though. At least a random chance to get something better, but a known floor. Like maybe the chance at better attachments or a holo finish.

Yeah agree and I am not sure if the card game idea that Aaron mentioned is still in the works. This can be either an add on or something overall to consider. The finetuning of the numbers to burn and the element of surprise would need to be thought of by someone a lot smarter than me 😂 . The issues mainly lied with the set 1 album specifically. Sleeving and unsleeving. Coudn't find a workaround. Sending to another wallet and back didn't work, even unlinking and relinking the wallet.
I've not seen anyone else mention the same issues though so it does seem rare, but whatever caused it is still there.

We try to throw in a few more aggressive ones when we can but they're more neutral in general by design. In theory it gives them a broader appeal. It also makes it simpler to do expressions and accessories. If we start with an angry snarling beast then it's much harder to change to anything else.
How aggressive would you want to see them? Do you have any example images?

Embarrassing to say and probably a known issue; but buying accessories via "buy now" on Illuvimaster will sometimes glitch and not buy the lowest current priced asset for sale. The buying power of d1sks from sILV2 is the same as the marketprice of ILV within the Illuvium ecosystem.

So in theory: if sILV2 is priced at 0.05 ethereum, while ILV's market value is 0.2, then you will have a 4x in buying power if you intend to buy Illuvium-sold assets.

This is a mechanic that the community members in this discord have been using for a while 🙂
The price of sILV2 more closely resembled that of ILV when a sale of any kind happened within the Illuvium ecosystem and it would dip when nothing was happening because there was no direct use for sILV2. 👍
