ok.. i like illuviatars because i think they can potentially have many use case, i hear about a card game and i wish it will, something like pokemon card, but you can increase the use case in illuvium zero for example if you put 3 illuviatar in a building you can harvest in less time or more resources

I really like the idea of a TCG. It seems like the most natural progression.
The demand for illuvitars would increase significantly as you would require a diverse selection to build a deck and compete.

Me too, I pitched a game to Aaron a few months back. But we don't want to spend too much time thinking about this until we get the first wave of games out. Of course any pitch will also need council approval (so make lots of supporting type noises when the time comes 😉 )

I know this may be potentially unpopular and it is just my personal opinion, but I like the idea of just keeping Illuvitars as collectibles

I want to see the actual Illuvials caught in Illuvium be truly interoperable assets across a wide variety of games, I’d rather the actual Illuvials got the utility of being the thing that you can use in every game (E.G An Atlas caught from the Overworld would unlock the card form of that Atlas in a TCG)

But I also like the idea of expanding the collectible Album and adding all sorts of cosmetics & unique looks/appearance around those Illuvials.

I think both can work in Harmony and create a really solid and sustainable reward ecosystem to cater to different players. Illuvials always focused on Gameplay. Illuvitars always focused on collectors and the cosmetic enchantment layers, which can go a lot deeper than many realise.

I agree with this. I like the idea of Illuvitars remaining cosmetic, like skins or card sleeves. But true interoperability would mean that Illuvials are used to play each game.

Illuvitars should mean something in at least some games beyond the single one you choose as your PFP in my opinion though. Otherwise it will be hard for most common/uncommon Illuvitars to be relevant

What we talked about when first coming up with Beyond was some kind of light-hearted, easy to play and 'whacky' card game. These things are 'outside the universe' and thus we can have a bit of fun with them.

I just had a cool idea ... maybe the game could be made simple enough you can play it during the other games ... like while waiting in lobby of arena or when waiting for a big item to craft. Something simple you can play with your in-game friends in the chat ... based on poker or even Snap! or something. Definitely not the idea I originally had, but I can see how this could be super cool.

(Just a reminder this is all conjecture, not a commitment to do anything)

Back to this in-chat game (hell maybe it could even be in discord) ... imagine something like poker where you have to match accessories, or backgrounds, or what not. Its just like constant little fast games of a Texas Hold-em type game, where there are community cards, and your own cards. And each hand you win gives you some kind of points boost.

In any 'playable' chat, you have 2 community cards pop up, then users have to match, create best set of 3/4/5 using those community cards and their own cards.

After 5-10 secs the winner(s) get some points. Then a new set of community cards pop-up.

(Maybe its even co-operative rather than competitive, the more people you match with the better each persons score)

Because it would be fast and simple, you could just be playing it all the time, every time you are waiting for something in any game.

Patience is what you need, not trying to force "something" to try and artificially raise prices. It was always the case that price appreciation will come with the start of the game and a growing player base. It is perfectly natural to have stagnating prices while we get there. If anything, you can still find good deals before the demand gets here and make some good investments - if you believe in the success of the project long term.

Maybe i dont understand the beyond stuff.

Its just my feeling that not a lot of people like it.
All of the "YouTuber" were trying to find something positive and i also had the imprassion that the Bosses dident liked it.

Or maybe i just cant connect with the designs.
In the games and Videos the caracters are looking so fluffy and alive.
For me the beyond styles look just different more edges and the character are changed and also the rings and cigars look then different from that

It was also possible to edit the URL and in the token address put the sILV2 address and see them there.

Trading anything in sILV2 is weird because it doesnt bring the project any revenue. It is supposed to be used as a player-to-DAO interaction item. So, while it may help for now, the volume will go down gradually until no sILV2 is traded at all.

It doesnt help the DAO to promote sILV2 trades imo.
I do agree that the illuvidex oughta have a more complete collection of tradable currencies. So i would prefer [IMX], [GOG] or whatever those other tokens are to be added. But not necessarily sILV2.

Odds will be slightly different. After all, rhis wave we only have 3 T5s. 1 S1, 1 S2 and 1 S3 so ophisto will be a 1/13 instead of 1/16, and thereby ophisto would be 1/3250 rather than Rhamphyre 1/4000.

Unbonding doesnt add value from my perspective.
It would allow Illuvium to monetise yet another utility but it takes away the 1/1 feeling that Illuvitars get when you bond them with specific stuff.

Imagine you get a great combination and 15 others all unbond to get that same combination because theirs now looks worse in their eyes. That reduces the uniqueness of your asset.

I would be fine with a happy friday repeating event;
10$ to unbond 5 Illuvitars.

Unbonding would take away the weight of bonding decisions and devalue accessories. Not to mention the work implementing it would require from the team, at a time when they should 100% focus on getting all other games to open beta. You are free to put up a suggestion, of course, but count on heavy resistance from the team and many of us.

Wouldn't be a perfect balance, but they could reduce the number of accessories per d1sk in subsequent waves with the lower price points. Price per accessory would be equivalent to wave 1 if they reduced price by 1/3 or 2/3 and then dropped 1 or 2 accessory slots (I say not a perfect balance because I don't think the numbers would come out this cleanly). Adding an illuvitar could fill that gap, make d1sk value a bit higher, and have no impact on previous waves. Just one thought.

1 - I wonder what made you spend 10k with the goal of stocking up on accessories now, when it's reasonable to assume that with the initial wave of opening standard wave 2 disks the price of those will go down - even if they were to stay at the same price? 2 - If you opened that many disks you also have a bunch of wave 1 illuvials. If we want the value of those illuvials to appreciate, we need to focus on getting as many people start collecting them as possible. And that is the whole purpose of the proposed price change, so more people can afford to collect them. So while I understand that in the short term your accessories might drop in value, over time you will gain that back and more by holding wave 1 illuvials, IF the game will be successful. What you suggest would work the opposite way. If you attempt to keep the price of accessories high, that means less people could afford to get involved in serious collecting, hurting the project long term

You can claim now and have 9 more days to claim. We are still in the early stages of the store, and due to the promo disk including a free shipping, it's probably easier to keep it as a separate order. I operated an ecommerce store before and shipping + tax is complicated, its not easy to mix different types of orders together, even if it would save money, due to limitations of the ecom platform you use.

The only issue i have with the D1skplates is that the magnets are not very optimal when you want to place multiple plates close to each other in a precise distance/height since you cant move the plate very well cause the magnets kinda lock in a specific location. Idk why that is the case but i guess it has to do something with the magnets and how they are made/poled, but i think that is something that should def be improved. Didnt had that problem with the original Displates, since they are using only one magnet and a full steel plate.

A lot of conditions are leading to the current stagnation. It is to be expected and nothing to be concerned about.
I expect things to pick up for wave 2. Wave 2 will also lead us into open betas of the main games. We should see increased demand from this as the desire for pfp's in those games will lead people to Beyond.
The next crypto cycle should start playing quite a large role beyond that.

absolutely no liquidity or new buyers. I don't even waste my time looking at new listings, which is dominated by the same person listing multiple times a day the same thing at the same price. That is part of why I think it was a mistake to wait till the third qtr for wave 2...we have lost all momentum from the GS promo.

I don't belive that this is necessarily true. I was tracking the sale very closely and the majority of the disks that were sold, were sold prior to the announcement of the free skin/plate.
After the announcement, the sales ticked up a little, but the growth was fairly negligible.

The sales jumped quite dramatically towards the last few hours of the sale due to individuals such as myself that purchased a large quantity. The largest factor being exclusivity, from only selling a very limited quantity (much rarer than Alpha).

As far as echo chambers go, I'm perfectly capable of remaining objective, but thanks for caring 😊 .

When we do partnerships deals there are profit splits and in some cases minimum guarantees. In this case we exceeded the minimum guarantee, we made some revenue and they made the majority. At the surface it may seem like a bad deal but this didn't "cost" us anything, the DAO made money. To do a partnership of this size costs a substantial amount of money, whether it be with a large scale influencer, or in this case the largest gaming retailer in the world.

The average spend per wallet in Illuvium: beyond per wave is 0.63 ETH, we gained an additional 1200 new players. Factoring that in and the number of new registrations, we are super happy with the results of the campaign. Could it have been better? Of course, and we acknowledge that. We've now got a platform for doing more deals with large scale brands and we have the potential to negotiate better deals.

I would say $3000+, the amount depends on how effective you get with bonding. The illuvitars you choose to bond need to be effective in filling slots in multiple collections. The better you get at this the lower the investment needed. On the plus side, there are many people on the leaderboard who are very bad at this, so you could compete with less than most, but it will still take investment

maybe a better way to look at it is at least 1 eth, as eth changes in price. And you can buy illuvitars already with accessories at high powers on illuvidex..just make sure you pay less than the total cost of the items, otherwise you could create it yourself for less. And the rumour is they will expand the leaderboard also, which I think they should. And the new wave next month will give you a lot of options to get on the leaderboard with disks, perhaps cheaper than the first wave. I would not probably buy old wave one disks on the secondary market as the odds of getting a high value illuvitar is low at current prices; just wait a month to buy new disks.

I've made a file a few weeks back to calculate the cost to buy off secondary every illuvitar from the first wave (cheapest version of each illuvitar/lowest background/no Holos/unbounded - clean illuvitars without accesories) and it was about $16000 - with the uncommon and rare Rhamphyres - and it would give you around 100.000 points
Without uncommon and rare Rhamphyre the price would have been around $6000

Thats not a good metric though as you would need like 800K points which some basic low-point Illuvitars wont get you.

On my own experience. According to illuvialmaster I don't own any illuvitar thats worth over $250 (except a promo dash but that is not very relevant for the leaderboard). I have about 30 of them bonded. And I'm sitting comfortably in top 50 with 4-5 more ready to be bonded if needed.

He only asked about top 100, which is a lot easier than top 50

Your 'experience' and journey of getting to your position on the leaderboard might not be the same with mine or any other Beyond fan on the leaderboard. I know people that spent way more to get there.. because early on it was also based on the luck you had with the disks
So i'd rather put my money on some good old calculations based on the market 🙂

I just got my disk plates and i have to say i´m really fucking impressed. The boxes look great and unboxing them and looking inside was a way better experience then what i tought. The disks plates look really clean. I thought i would like the holo one more, but damn that token backgrounds looks epic in real life.

Temp glue sounds like a tightrope walk between having enough stickyness to not wobble but less enough to be easy pulled out of the box.
Sponge gives the feeling of extra protectiveness and easy to pull out. Also very easy to place it in the exact center of the box.

Even tho temp glue would probably be 10x cheaper 😄
