Right. there are a few very common assets, the Doka's and Archies that go for quite little. There are also the Lynxes that go for 120$ minimum, and others that are listed for minimum 0.5 eth or 1 eth. Odds are stacked against you that you get a common one though xD

Imo, the biggest issue with this drop is the price point for a single illuvitar. For new people, 50 dollars for one nft that could be worth a lot less is a scary proposition. I get that the pricing was up to the partner as well, but if you gave 3 illuvitars for the same price, it would have been a lot more exciting, less people would have sour taste from opening 27 dokas/archies in a row, more people could have gone for the collection which would result in more market activity. There is no reason to keep promo nfts this expensive. They have less power than normal ones so they would not affect leaderboard balance even if there were 3x the number.

A blazing rhamphyre will be able to have a bonus of 150% while a GS goliant will be stuck at 32.5% forever.
The GS goliant will probably be a cool collection item with only 40 minted, but will have less use-case than any regularly sold Goliant as long as the owner bonds better stuff to it.

This is a side collectable game, not an nft drop we're using to fund the entirety of our project. If it sells enough to be profitable that could also be viewed as a success. If it brings in a bunch of new people to illuvium through the beta codes and gets more people playing the actual game that is a success. Hell, if we make a million mistakes and we learn exactly what not to do for future partership drops then it could be seen as a success. Although let's not hope for that last one
