These ILV are probably coming from the "in-game yield" portion, not being bought with runway.

If runway is tight, why WOULDN'T you want to reward some ILV we've got sitting around to people spending a bunch of money (which if it's ETH and they're buying d1sks or buying on illuvidex is going to runway...)

It's exactly the same incentive as paying out ILV to PvP players to incentivize them to pay for Overworld runs to farm illuvials or buy them off illuvidex to get a good deck and compete.

I will be playing overworld and capturing illuvials to sell some and collect others. PVP players will pay for holos and strong stats to save time and have the best looking teams... That's very similar to me buying packs now and if I get a rare one selling it to someone competing for the top of the leaderboard...

There has always been incentives for those that can spend a lot. In the balancer sale people earned points they could use to claim rewards too. It’s a very similar thought.

When we have multiple games in a live state we will obviously look at the in game rewards and decide where the most goes. This is our first opportunity to test that.

In Beyond it is definitely pay to win, but there is still some strategy. You have to find the most efficient ways of earning points. A single Illuvitar can be sleeved in many collections. We did that for a reason. It means that, while spending more is clearly the most important thing, spending smart matters a lot. Collections give very good point rewards. It’s a bit tougher to see that now in wave 1, but as more can be completed you’ll see there are some big numbers there.

Will Arena have more rewards than Beyond? Absolutely. But some people like playing collecting style games. So we should cater to them. Especially when we are a DAO where all you people will ILV will get the rewards from it.

Only problem with not converting DAO portion of revdis to ILV is that then the DAO doesn't compound. That ETH that isn't ILV won't be earning any additional revdis. That also lowers the price inflation since that's a pretty large chunk of the revdis. I think maybe for me it depends on how much/how often it would be expected to be converting ILV back to ETH to fund something.

I mean if the DAO would be distributing its revdis to itself by buying ILV and then within the next month re-selling the exact same amount, then it's a wash and who cares.

But if that amount could potentially sit and snowball and accumulate by being ILV then it's a bigger difference.

I kinda like these reward numbers, we really need to get more money bridged to IMX, and once it's here, most of it will be reinvested into the game one way or the other, which means more revdis in the end. You need to incentivise people who are on the fence to pay those two ETH transactions to get their money here. so I know the IlluvialMaster "total value" isn't completely accurate but if I'm reading this correctly I spent 15.5 sILV2 on my collection. ILV was ~$74 I think when I purchased my alphas and like $60 3 days later. I think sILV2 was ~$41 when I bought it.

So I spent like $1070 in ILV value with $635 worth of sILV2 to get $1206 in Illuvitar value. (I also spent like $75 in ETH filling in collection). Not bad considering I didn't really pull anything great.

Art is neat, expressions are great. But I'd bond more if the color scheme of the accessories was more in line with the color scheme of the background and/or illuvial itself. I quite like it..i think there is a good mix of variation and they are very crisp lookiing and i like how the details really stand out on certain cards......just for the fact of doing something a little different I guess the one thing I would do a bit different is to have the characters zoomed out to see the backgrounds better such as on the t4's I think it would be nice for there to be some cards where maybe it is like a zoomed out action shot of the character or something like that and to get a better view of the surroundings

Overall visuals are really solid. Some of the accessories don't work on some of the illuvitars (as in they stick out and look like they don't belong, imagine seeing a person in a movie on a REALLY obvious greenscreen).
I like how the different color backgrounds can really mix and match with illuvitars to give a nice contrast. For instance if I have a green T0 illuvitar I prefer a blue background.
The different rarities of expressions and backgrounds are usually pretty easy to tell at a glance how rare it is.

On a whole I personally love the art style. There are some Illuvitars where I wish there was more distinction between the facial expressions; for example The Axon Line is all pretty similar and I think more could have been done to distinguish them as their own expression.

Like wise there are some backgrounds I wish were more distinctive so it was easier to know what was a stage 1/2/3. For backgrounds like Nexus where a lot of it is blocked by the Illuvial it can be hard to distinguish, more so when you add in the region variations. (Nexus Abyssal Basin is a fab background - props to who made that one!)

You guys ran an art contest changing up the art and I think the winner MissDragonir's Comic art style was fab, might be fun to do side runs of different styles like this.

Something I'd love to see in the future, would have to be some kind of 'filter' option to change the vibe of your illuvitar to your own personal taste. To really play with it and make a personal collection with, for example, a gothic filter. And then another drowzy/trippy/happy one with a magenta filter. Something like that.

You could add those filters in rare accessory slots. Some being more rare than others of course, with added % according to their rarity/awesomeness. You could even let the order in which you bond matter. Filter first means other accessories aren't influenced by the filter (which makes for some nice contrast possibilities). Or filter last, which would mean everything (incl. accessories) would have a certain vibe.

For the most part, things look awesome.

The only thing that I think wasn't realy great was the T4 backgrounds. On a few of the Illuvials they look nice but a lot of them take up so much of the frame that you cant hardly see any of the background except some color around the edge.

Ever since the promo clip I thought Rhamphyre wasn't as "WOW" as he couldve been. I guess the clip was just too high-res that made the portrait look bleak in comparison.

I agree with what others are saying about the Accessories sometimes looking a bit out of it. I would suggest changing the coins as they don't complement the look of most Illuvials.

For the rest I really like how the portraits look. They are really clean, and Holographic tends to up them to another level. I'm just hesitant to put on any accessories because they don't add much to the portrait other than power. i'd say point score of 93/100 portraits, 67/100 accessories

I honestly love the Tier 2 backgrounds, and it's too bad that those aren't Tier 4 xD I want them on all of my Illuvitars...
And the art behind Gaudi and stage 2 Tier 5 Illuvitars is cool. Props to coming up with multiple designs for the same stage, it keeps the designs fresh after getting comfortable with the different versions.
The backgrounds are awesome looking. The Nexus is pretty difficult to distinguish from another (the skies do look cool for the T4 backgrounds). Total i'd say 84/100 for backgrounds :]

I'm not sure how we'd balance that really, with all the different colours of the different illuvials, the only way I can think of would be to make them more neutral? Did you have anything specific in mind?

Accessory placement is on my list of things to pay closer attention to. I will say that headwear is particularly tricky, as many of the illuvials don't have much in the way of foreheads, and we have to be really careful that they don't intersect awkwardly with the glasses. Also ears, ears are the worst for hats XD

I actually think I had the same reaction the first time I watched the trailer and saw them back to back. In isolation though I think the Illuvitar looks great though, so I'm putting it down to the living, moving, flaming one being particularly awesome :p
I do think he needs some flaming eyes though, hopefully we can do that down the line at some point, would be cool to do some alternate versions.

they are working on fixing some glitches at the moment.....if you sleeve or unsleeve a card it should update your collection and put you on leaderboard...but if that doesnt work then just gotta wait til they fix the new update glitches....same for certain cards that wont sleeve that is a common issue right now as well

1. Make sure you finalise bond!
2. Wait up to 10 minutes

If it is stilled not present the web page will try to restore failed bonds (but **don't **reset cache data)

3. Try logging in and out again
4. Try Closing and Opening Browser and then logging in again
5. Raise a support ticket

I really really really wish that bonding was reversible. The coolest part of NFT collectable accessorizable cards is the ability to make tons of unique combos, whereas traditional cards have no or very few permutations. But the irreversibility of bonding is crushing.

I keep thinking, what if there's other cool accessories added later? What if I want to sell it later but no one else likes the bonding?

I wish we could unequip them. I wouldn't even care if accessories were burned in doing so.

IMHO I think lower tier accessories are cheesy. I don't want to destroy the original NFT by putting a clown nose on it. or coins for eyes. I know it's a NFT niche culture thing, but if Illuvium "in general" wants to be "AAA "mainstream, then all the characters need to invoke emotion to create attachment. get beyond Beyond, and focus energy on a "AAA" title. Then Beyond will be worth more.

Many (not me but many of the discussions I have) Mainstream gamers feel that "NFTs" fall into the negative monetization of corporate greed mind set. some feel so strongly, they will not even consider the facts of item ownership. Beyond is cool and all, but it's the main game Overworld, Zero and the Auto-battler that will decide the sucess of the game.

Also, if we stop offering clown noses (for example) all that happens is we create scarcity and you probably end up seeing them bonded even more as they become 'rarer'. We can't give them that kind of power, I say we leave them in and let them continue to be unused by pretty much everyone XD

the one thing they do accomplish is since there's a collection just for those "bad accessories" in order to fill out those collections you have to put them on an illuvitar of some sort, so you can just take a 40 power T0, throw in the random accessories to fill out those collections. so it acts as a sort of burn on illuvitars and other accessories you pair with them

I will certainly have dedicated illuvitars I only use for filling out those collections, then keep them in the closet. nobody will ever know they exist

it completes the collections which give you bonus points. if the choice is between a clown nose T5 and a clown nose T0 and I don't have the money to buy a T5, then it's either the pittance points from the T0 AND the bonus points from the collection, or nothing

look at it this way, maybe the choice is between a T5 to add 2.5% boost to, or instead of buying the T5 I can buy a +20% accessory to pair with other high end accessories on a different T5

I have 211,873 points in my collection after unsleeving my Drones background collection stage 3
I set an illuvitar with 1425 power, which if sleeved would put me at 213,298 collection
After sleeving the illuvitar I have 213,698, a bonus of +400 for completing the collection
