It’s a heavy workload for someone, and it gives an expectation. You don’t want your brand to be valued only and grow because your providing nice free stuff.
That’s just long term though it’s a nice thing to do to give some new people a bit of help while we’re in the very early limited stage of it

my only theory for increasing and decreasing numbers of crashes on the same beta build, is that maybe some days we have in deck illuvials with some animations that are troublesome, and with some decks we are using them more often

most of the times he just silences some other ability, and ranger sometimes stuns him mid cast so that works

Singe is actually pretty good since he spins and gets barely any damage from the omega. And since singe is magma he gets +-0 due to earth, but +3 for being fire. So he gets sóme hyper.
I don't think there is a 1v1 that actually works against vermilliare 😄

All of these questions came up when I was arguing with another player about Axodon. He says he's the most overrated in the game because he dies too quick, I said I thought he was priced about right for what he does. And he's a Singe killer.

axodon is one of the strongest units in the game as long as you can get him Hyper quickly and let him survive for the first 20 seconds. He will have used his Omega 2x and have 60 resistance on each and 150 mega power

A survival mode where you have certain illuvials you can play with ans that swaps around once a week will only make you more tempted to go get them for yourself.

If vermilliare was the unit that you completely destroyed the waves with and then you suddenly dont have it for the next week you'll want to go get it.

You'll probably need your own deck for the version that pays out rewards. But I think having a randomized deck just for fun and practice would be good. People can try out new Illuvials without having to pay for them.

Hey guys I got into PB1 yesterday and played a bit last night. I'm a TFT player and I'm really impressed with how the game is just based off of basics. I'm excited to see how augments get introduced. It's definitely going to give TFT a run for it's money. I think this game will break hard into the TFT/autobattler marketshare.

I would rather the team focus on getting out the full game than fixing a bug for private beta. If a game is frustrating you it is ok to take a break. I for one am waiting for the checkpoint system to grind the game some more. Unless you are a game developer within the Illuvium team with full autonomy of the game code the notion of a 2 minute fix would be an unfair assessment.

I think they just arent focusing on balancing for the current beta build. While these kind of things can be frustrating for those of us playing it a lot I think the team's time is best spent continuing to fill out the missing pieces in the game. Balance decisions and minor bug fixes are more effective once we have all the pieces put together.

I imagine pushing an update is a bit of work. I will say that if they havn't fixed the air staff in the next patch ill be a little perturbed. As far as fixing bugs like the seeforus ult, any change made now could also have unintended effects on how other unreleased characters operate. Bug fixing in the context of the combat engine makes more sense once we have the full illuvial set.

There are core systems that are being developed. Some of which totally fix many bugs.

While we are in the phase of developing core functions to improve the experience we aren’t going to focus on smaller issues.

A system wide targeting change is currently finishing up. Would you rather that, or for someone to patch up one specific thing?

I think what you aren’t getting is that patches are things that happen mostly after development finishes. In beta, it is all about getting the core functionality implemented and working.

We could patch every 2 weeks so you are happy, but it takes time away from getting the whole system done. That’s why we do big releases.

Once we have the system at a very high quality you will see faster cadence.

Getting mad that a private beta isn’t exactly as you want it seems like unneeded stress.

We’re also implementing 106 combat units. These are all required. We prioritise them over certain bug fixes because we need systems that work for all of them.

It’s not normal to get quick patches early on. Patches will eventually be on a weekly schedule and mostly automated. But not now.

Nobody on the team wants you guys to wait for things. But we have a system of such high fidelity graphics that there are many things we have to do that others don’t.

The plan is for people to eventually say “why did I ever play Underlords or TFT” but our system is unforgiving.

For example when a large character in tft hits a small one, it basically always misses. People don’t care because it uses less detailed graphics.

For us, people see everything. Sliding feet, missed hits, etc.

We we use many turn animations, we retarget animations to hit based on the physical location of the body. We have hit reactions. All sorts of things.

And none of that has anything to do with the fully deterministic data driven simulation.

But you don’t get something great unless it sets itself apart from the pack.
