Currently the higher the tpi of the illuvial and the higher the experience level of the illuvial the stronger it will be in a ranked battle!

If you do not own an illuvial it will default to a tpi 0 level 1 Illuvial. So if your playing against someone with high tpi high level illuvials they have a big advantage

What is the reason you decided to go for a two week qualification followed by a one week of quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals? Usually you want a longer qualification stage to make it more competitive and fair. But with this format b03 quarterfinals and semifinals, it will be less fair and less competitive.

Also will the groups be seeded based on sit n go? Will you play in the same group or will there be new groups in the quarterfinals and semifinals?

i got ussualy 1k for t5s3 at fast game. 4-5k at long game.
from 40 to 60 you need 650k exp.
it's mean that will be 130-650 games.
and i should play same comp every game - it's mean i lose time to time for bad match-up = get less exp.
so total it's probably will be 200-900games.
20 games every day - 10-45 days.
not sure it will be cheap

We will aim for rules and fairness as close as possible to how we handled the IPL—meaning as many reshuffles as possible where it makes sense. Of course, there may be some drawbacks where we can’t achieve 100% perfectly min-maxed competitiveness, as we’ll have to make trade-offs in favor of partner contracts, viewers, and time constraints.

As we’ve seen in the IPL, Datakingz was only reliable for check-ins and sit & go, so we will likely need to run the full tournament manually in the backend—meaning it will be slower, but allow for reshuffles and seeding.

• Have a look at augments again... can't be that purple augments are actually more tanky than the blue ones, or you get most OP from the yellow augment that also grants shield instead of the one that just gives OP

i tried it here and there in the 8 nature comp, but haven't been able to make blazenite a dd carry anymore.
Usually fights are too fast, when either rogues obliterate you, or the 6 fire melt your face before blaznite casts his first time. I guess it would be nice against another 8 nature comp, but if there are two it's probably a bot4 palcement anyways, since you need s3 tanks to somehow survive the big dd comps. ... So actually no point to play templar

Aaron mentioned in the past that AI could be used to simulate thousands of scenarios and balance the game rapidly, but situations like this make me question whether that's being fully leveraged.Arena has so many variables — augments, Illuvial synergies, team compositions — that manual testing alone clearly isn't enough. A proper AI-driven stress test could quickly identify overpowered combinations and edge cases before they reach live servers.I hope these internal tests are already in place, or will be soon. It would prevent a lot of frustration for the community.

That is def possible. But... cant just plop ai onto an existing system and expect accurate results.

You'd basically have to slowly train an AI system over time to learn all the nuances and pieces of the system... and even then, there is room for error. AI will need a human that truly understands the system and how it should be.

Also, setting up the ai to d that requires a person that can train the ai properly too.

also, btw... just if you ask me... I do not think whale-to-win is a very sustainable business model. There will always be the same 3 ultrawhales with a perfect collection steamrolling everything and snowballing into rewards - but once they are there they won't have any incentive to collect more and the rest gets frustrated and leaves. Also levelling up takes WAY too long. It would be better if every player had a reasonable incentive to get the complete collection.

There are no divisions this week since Ownership if OFF this week as a special 1 off.

What happened: The match ended fine, but the system couldn't read the final rankings from Illuvium's API. Without knowing who placed where, we can't decide who won the bet... so the system played it safe and sent both NFTs back to their original owners. Nobody wins, nobody loses, no one's NFT is at risk.

Why it looks weird: The screenshot shows "LOCKED IN" because the page was cached. The wager actually refunded ~16 minutes after the match ended. Check your wallet... your Scarabok should already be back.

TL;DR: This wasn't a "you win nothing if you win, you lose if you lose" situation. It was a stuck match that auto-refunded both sides. If the rankings had come through normally, the player who picked correctly would have walked away with both NFTs

The CASUAL match has live_results with only ranks 3-8 (6 entries) — ranks 1 and 2 are missing. The watcher's determineWinner() function looks for rank === 1, doesn't find it, returns null, and winner_name stays empty forever. Once the match flips to FINAL, the watcher stops polling it, so the missing top-2 ranks never get filled in.

This was a casual-mode-specific issue. In a normal Ranked gauntlet the upstream returns all 8 ranks; in Casual the top survivors aren't being reported the same way.

I had to manually verify the previous match... I pushed a fix and it seems to not have taken for the second match

Now I am looking deeper into why casual matches resolve differently
