if someone want to play poker , which before i though different but now my best advice would be learn all the basics and this and that play alot hands , try to get in every situation and after that i was lost for a time now i think u get the most value if u can feel the players or the table , dont play 6-9 games parallel just play 1 game and look always with which hands they call or bluff or something and try to understand and read the other players ( this is just for lategame ) at the start this would help a bit too but at the start is just safe gameplay and yeah i think at this point where i am the emotional understanding gives a higher edge in the lategame cause i see so many times there are so many dudes who just dont care they lose a hand and after that just go all in or something there are like hundreds+ of different situations like this

Bots are a known issue atm, it’s been mentioned that they are going to be adjusted; both in power and being less dominant filling lobbies if I’m not mistaken (even if ques become longer because of it) - just a fyi for anyone who thinks current state is the intention.

Hopefully, we should see some updates as team is mostly back now from Xmas breaks

2026 has some exciting stuff for all you arena lovers; and although inevitably a lot left once rewards ended for the time being, you guys and girls who play consistently, day in and day out, deserve the best game possible! All the current bot issues, are looking like they are being adjusted to be far less of a problem. I think once the changes hit, bots will feel a little less obvious, and hopefully alongside some updates to bring in more players, also helping reduce heavy bot lobbies as well!

I think there are multiple reasons. I personally do not enjoy these bot lobbies. As a good player your average placement is around 1,... and you basically never ever place bot 4 so you can not really loose rating. For me that is super boring.

The problem is that we are always scaring people away and THEN try to get them back. We should start implementing features first, THEN change something on the spot to not loose all the players again and again. Recent example: We got rid of ILV rewards. What did we get? No fuel rewards, no decent ranked overhaul (no matchmaking, no sense of progression), no tournament announcements going along with it, etc. So what is left is a bad taste. You can finally use your own Illuvials to auto win Gauntlet lobbies without even trying. Sounds fun to me 😄

Agreed. Even if we had announced Season 2 immediately after the IPL, the money was probably going to be extracted. Most of us have experienced enough pain that we feel compelled to extract at every opportunity. If you listen to any of the interviews, the answer is never, “I’m going to use the money to buy Illuvials and play Leviathan.” Of course, it’s their right to extract, but imagine giving them a reason to stick around instead of killing the momentum after every major milestone. Yeah something should tell newer players to do casual until they get the hang of things, dont jump into ranked until youve been playing a while.

We are working on an Ascendant MVP, and we will try it out first without Leviathan.

Simpler, shorter sessions, perfect for onboarding, and great for players that like more dynamic and 1v1 strategic gameplay.

Also, the entire arena will experience a simplification revamp. We will preserve it's variability, but we will make effects more straight forward and easy to understand (the game is really complex by itself, and this scares a lot of potential players). Synergies will also get some adjustments to boost the "rock-paper-scissory" nature of the game that we can exploit further.

The team planner was extremely complex not the game itself. You had to choose the illuvial base affinity and class, plus augments/armour/weapon each having different stages. Not to mention that everyone was playing on God mode with no ownership involved.

Those tournaments was not a good indication... the only one I think was good, was the first one, that was made as a Sit&go if I remember correctly.

Also, tournaments has never been a good way to onboard more to play the game... it's only going to reward the few. The way to go is rewards on leaderboard, with fuel/cosmetics... and WHEN there is enough active players we can have some great tournaments 🙂

Illuvials need to become more functional, like collections in Beyond etc. Many ideas have been shared about this, but they don't see it as appropriate right now... I own 220 dark holo Illuvials, and I want to feel like they are actually useful...

I'm not talking about monetary rewards, not tournaments... let's just create a sense of progression for players with things like titles, etc. How hard could that be? I don't know... I guess there are many problematic technical issues, things that I'm not aware of...

Like everything is laid out for longterm time investement, don't think you can throw in a mode where all assets are burned after a run. Feels like if you would level up a wow character, and grind through the first dungeons just to play a pve-mode killing you and you can restart all over again.

Sounds like a "ok, i had fun in that game for months/years" and instead of selling all the stuff on the dex i just play that mode a couple times kinda thing 😄

The Shop mechanic is the Same as in tft.
We just recently switch to ownership for ranked Mode.
Which means in casual Mode every player plays with the Same illuvials, but in ranked Mode every player plays with his own illuvials which can be different in stats and Levels and therfore influencing the strength of the illuvial.
If you don't own any it specific illuvials you will get Standard illuvials in the shop with no stats and bring lvl 1

XP gain in the Arena has been re-enabled. It was disabled after the Battle Pass ended, but it’s now active again for all players.

On top of that, we’ve increased Arena XP gain by 3×. Previously, XP gains were extremely low, so we’ve adjusted the values to better reflect player effort. Maximizing your Illuvials will still take a lot of dedication, but you should now feel noticeable progression simply by playing Arena.

Sure there are some edge cases where you like just loose hp the whole game until you get your umbre and dualeph with like 10 hp left and then start wrecking people. But those are edge cases... and trust me, keep picking on those cases the next weeks and it will get fixed aswell and made super easy to also get exp on your win con illuvials in those cases.

In an average game where you have like a phyriox and a fernite or a exalted monkier/grilla carrying you 90% of the game, they will get the experience they deserve and you will need that to actually get better and rank up.
You can still run ow for now (or maybe buy xp in future, or maybe you get an xp weight depending on what round you are) to get your rhamphyre up to 60 so you can use him in 1 out of 15 games to have a cool moment for yourself and win that game with rhamphyre rain obliterating the whole enemy team
