Nope, no stacks, you can either be poisoned or not be. If you are being inflicted poison from multiple sources, you are poisoned just once, but refresh the debuff duration.

When you play the Leviathan version, when you pick a card from the shop, if you have caught that one in the overworld, it will use it in the game.

Standard ranked uses all the same cards as each other. Leviathan will use the base version if you don't own it, but will use your highest level one if you do own it. Stats and levels matter there.

So if you spend fuel leveling up some good stats illuvials, you can then sell them for your money back, or maybe make some profit, or rent them out to other players through Polemos.io or just use them to win prize money in the tournaments.

Too many wild cars spots. Don't know any serious tourney that has more that 10% wildcats closer to 5% would be better. So instead of 8 should 4 max 6 due to the low player size. If it was 128 players i could understand 8 wildcards

Let's imagine this scenario where we are only 3 players remaining:

• I'm playing earth
• My opponent is playing nature
• The 3rd player is playing air

If I kill my opponent they won't beat the air player and I'm sure that I will end up 2nd

However I have a lot of HP and I can afford to lose on purpose so that the nature player beats the air one that I cannot beat

So the best move to maximize my expected placement is to lose this round on purpose

I understand what you mean, and I’m sorry you lost points with the overhaul. There are, sadly, some downsides to reworking the old system. We (Council & Organisers) decided the pros outweigh the cons.

The new system is more straightforward. Under the old one, we would have had three different point distributions for 250s and two for 500s. We also had the issue that in past 500s, placements 33–64 received no points. Some players might find it unfair that they got 0 points for 33rd in an IPL 500 while others now get 2 points for the same placement.

It always sucks to make retroactive changes, and we would have liked to avoid it. But I believe a cohesive, consistent system across every 250, 500, and 1000—and one that’s easy to understand, especially for newcomers—outweighs the downsides overall.

Another upside of the new system is that it’s easier to implement and maintain on the backend (e.g., homepage leaderboards).

No player who had points before the change was reduced to zero. Some placements now earn fewer points than before, but the distribution is now consistent across all tournaments rather than having multiple versions per tournament format. It also incentivizes players to keep competing: 100% of qualified players now received points, so many who previously got 0 despite making the main event now have a few—which is good for our player numbers and, I think, fair overall.

I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry about the adjustments. Some players did have a few points deducted.

We’ll do our utmost to avoid making retroactive changes like this again.

I do agree on the revised system and points, that makes perfect sense, and looks to be better.
But also have to agree. It feels bad to have points suddenly deducted. I am not entirely sure if that was needed, and it's probably not going to matter that much in the end, to be honest... But the points for the first IPL250 was originally:
1st Place (Champion): 50 points
2nd Place: 35 points
3rd–4th (Semi-Finalists): 25 points each
5th–8th (Quarter-Finalists): 15 points each
9th–16th (Round 2 Eliminations): 8 points each
17th–32nd (Round 1 Eliminations): 3 points each

So it dose look like **most **lost some points, that was originally awarded...

Could also have left them as "bonus" for being in the first IPL. Anyway... if that's the decision, then "it is what it is". learned to accept that things can easily be changed. 😒

Yeah we removed the different points distribution for the first IPL 250. Now all 250 have the exact same points for all 32 Players.

That means that those 32 Players lost a few points overall.

But on the Flip side 32 Players gained Points for the first IPL 500 which I think is a good thing, specially seeing that all future 64 players in the IPL 500 will receive points.
40th Place in one IPL 500 should reward the same points as 40th place in another IPL 500 I think.

Again totally understandable for people to dislike the change, but hopefully the upsides of the overhauled system will be worth it in the long run.
In any case, we are learning for season 2 where there will be one cohesive distribution in place before the first tournament, so hopefully this is a one time thing. 🙂

A new update (V5) has been pushed to the Rulesheet, focused on fixing and improving the Prize Pools.

• Some numbers didn’t add up before and were too high, but they should now all have the correct values and percentages.
• This resulted into the prize pool being spread too thin for the IPL 250 and 500.
• With the improved distribution, we’re still keeping the 100% “in the money” structure for the World Finals and IPL 1000.
• This works well since now 100% of players receive IPL Points. That means getting last place in an IPL 500, for example, won’t give you a few of bucks anymore—but it will give you IPL Points, so you don’t go home empty-handed.

Overall, this structure increases the incentive for our main target audience—the sweaty grinders—while still keeping the bigger tournaments as a meaningful goal for the more casual audience.

I just saw an old screenshot of the game and I liked its simplicity, since then we had a lot of QOL and VFX added which made it better, however the addition of the ranger increased the APM and skill floor because of the added complexity

No weapon, no weapon amplifier, no suit amplifier, no ranger unit, no bonding
The game was so much simpler and the skill floor was so much lower

The ideal is to have a high skill ceiling with a low skill floor, right now both are high and the ranger makes a big difference

Another idea would be to remove 1 illuvial on our board and start with a stronger ranger that naturally gets stronger throughout the game and maybe you can only re bound once every pve round

Removing the ranger for one region (more precisely 1 version of a region) would change the game for about 6% of the time

We could also remove live positioning in 1 region to see how it goes and fight against opponents that we won't know in advance except in the final 1v1 where live positioning makes the most sense

Its usually a matter of economy and scouting.

1. Economy. Every 10 gold u have, gives 1 bonus gold each round. If u are constantly spending, you lose out long term.

2. Scouting. If you level too slowly or conserve gold too much other players will get important Stage 3s, at this stage you miss out and will eventually lose.

It's just kind of telling when you obliterate an entire team only to have that ONE problem unit 1v8 because it was all an all items are legendaries game
