To let you guys know a bit about what happens with a low elo.
I've won two games.
The first with an elo of 1221 I got +32 points.
The second tme with an elo of 1231 I got +27 points .

At 1213 3rd was +15 points.
If I get 4th it is about +6 points. A second place that I won I got +10, I didn't recognize the names so assuming they were low elo people too.

I'm now at 1126 and lost -27 points yesterday when I came 8th.

Without Smurf accounts though it is in the top guys best interest to not play accept as necessary. I've been in queue for an hour waiting for a game right now. I wish there were enough people playing who all had low elos and we could play against each other but there aren't. I'd rather play a top player who has a an account that they try new builds on than not play at all. They might even lose more often because they can try new things instead of just go with their same build they know will get them a victory. I don't spend the time to ever be a top leaderboard player but I like to be able to at least play and sometimes get top four for raffle tickets/fuel.

Say I go and grab the first spot in the leaderboard, make another account and get it into the top ten the next day, and then another the next day. There wouldn't be any decay in that time, so I could keep a few accounts in the leaderboard rewards without breaking those terms, no? Provided I was lucky enough to get there in the first place.

There’s definitely an issue in the game where the outcome of a round isn’t calculated correctly. I haven’t seen this happen in Ranked.

When I played against @hollow orbit a few days ago, he didn’t take any damage in some rounds that he clearly lost.
And in today’s match, I lost a round against @fringe zephyr early in the game — but the game didn’t deal any damage to me.

Just updating the bug information in Leviathan, in case it's useful for you.
I'll try to keep it brief, but feel free to ask for details if needed.

1️⃣ Augments disappear when the illuvial's stage is increased.

2️⃣ Sometimes no damage is dealt to the opponent if they lose.

3️⃣ Occasionally (rarely) an illuvial of a non-max level appears. Very rarely.

4️⃣ For some of the opponent's illuvials, their stats can't be checked by holding the Shift key.

5️⃣ Levels don't provide any boosts to illuvials. They appear but don't actually enhance them.

6️⃣ @ashen mango is appearing in the game; please remove it.

You have some buttons at left corner to spend $ and lvlup. Every boost gives u 4exp per 4gold.

You can also check the Illuvial (creatures) tier drop rates per level. It´s useful.

Get used to it , after 1750 score u need to get first or you´ll get +7 +9 second position in almost all games, third +4. Need to rush 1st to get 15+. Even when 2-3 players are high score, the lobby´s middle score is lower than yours.

honestly comp variety that can win the game is pretty decent, way better than frost patch, the only problem is that games are decided 80% by your augment choices so the comps barely matter when u highrolled or lowrolled

So, yeah, leaderboard is a mess right now.

You should view the current leaderboard and rewards as a bonus while they get everything ready and test things.

Let's try to be patient and positive at least until this initial roll out of features is complete!

Just enjoy what we have for now as it is or take a break and wait for the complete package to be ready. There is literally nothing else you can do and it's to late to change course.

Once the features are in, you’ll have a good amount of variety. And then as you’re testing we will refine the elements of those features, change some omegas, update the suit augments, etc.

Yeah, getting -25 as 5th place yesterday made me quit ranked for this week. I´ve been struggling to get +7 as 2nd and +11 1st. I know the system, and it works for mass populated games. Not our case, we need to give players a motivation according to his score.
Perhaps that battlepass stuff solves something, new mechanics, new incentives to play... idk, but if people just take a sit on their score, (which is safer for some), we gonna have a dead game soon.

The current setup makes this impossible to avoid.

You either need to move to a more bracketed system, or wait until volume comes in for true matchmaking.

I would move to doing a bracketed system similar to League and even TfT.

Top 4 Grants X points with a baseline. You get to placement matches and then win 2/3 then you move to the next bracket. Then you also prevent dropping brackets.

At the top echelon you do a classic MMR system like Hearthstone. Again it has a lower floor, where you are directly ranked rather than gaining/losing points so to speak. 2nd beats 1st, then you become first, and so on.

Game is made in a way that assumes you're supposed to never get a bot 4 when you're facing 90% players worse than you, and this works when game balance is in a state where you can't get absolutely completely fucked by rng, unfortunately on this patch it's not the case so even the best players eat a 5th sometimes

I don´t really care if i win or lose, i´m not playing for winning, specially these last week when idc 3 spots more or 3 less.
What i care is about playing an actual fun / skill game, not a roulette. It´s true, luck is necessary in every game, but right now is just copy a build, get luckier than your opponent, win. There ´s no single strat anybody can do against a bulwark 5 / reactive augment that will throw that player out of top 3... and that´s just a simple example.
Game is broken ATM, not enjoyable and repetitive.

I refuse to do that , but this is the 2nd game, and already got a 5th position. Luckily i ´ll end up finishing my 15 games this week.
This is not destructive, i like the game a lot, but i hope things are done for next patch to avoid this.
