I just read the patch notes for upcoming v 1.1 and have never been more excited. Fantastic stuff team, super excited to for the Gauntlet Leviathan mode!!

I am kinda wondering how lynxes will work in the meta. Kinda strange to think how that will work haha.

I am not playing arena mainly because I am building/impoving my team in Overworld specically for Leviathan gameplay. I want a good all around team to be able to play the new upcoming game modes, so it's actually a lot of hours to get a fully decent stat/level collection for mulitple team comps that we will need in Gauntlet.

To me ranked ascension is fun, but it needs to be faster paced animations, and I frankly just miss my Illuvials that I worked so hard to make. Why would I ever want to battle without the stats and levels I worked so hard to get? It sucks watching my illuvials move in slow motion and have such low health, etc.

Leviathan Gauntlet is really going to be a great all around experience for those of that are building a high powered all around collection.

I still feel like I have ways to go before I actually have a good illuvial for every single type. There are so many different ones you have to collect...

the combos for advanced synergies are extremely intuitive - makes total sense that water + earth = mud. And advanced class combos make sense too once you learn a few. And that intuition is then useless because advanced synergies/classes are properties of units rather than properties of combinations. I have to memorize that Scoriox is 75% fire 25% earth (although still 100% fire for purposes of hyper) and 75% psion 25% fighter, but rhamphyre is 100% fire, 75% rogue, 25% psion. And I have to know those hidden properties for every single illuvial to be able to play gauntlet well or build a non-netdecked team.

and this will only get worse as more illuvials come out

I don't know the best way to rework arena, but building around the combo aspect would go a long way to making it intuitive to learn

Phantom got all the boost/buff from Psion and Rogue

Meanwhile Inferno is the composite of Fire + Fire

There is no Earth in Ramphy line, you must be messed with Magma (Sear + Scoriox) which is the composite of Fire + Earth.

No it only gets the buffs etc from its dominant trait. Which is drawn from the stage 1, Rhamphy in this case

rhamphyre is rogue and phantom. Phantom is presented in the game as a blend of rogue and psion, so you can think of rhamphyre as 50% rogue + 25% rogue + 25% psion. But of course the psion blood doesn't have any in-game effects. I'm just saying it's a weirdly unintuitive system to say all advanced classes/affinities are combos of basic ones, and then in practice there's no combining going on

There you go, you ruined my season, well done, in addition to repeated bugs (which were not corrected in the last update on arena) we now have a survival arena that changes every time, I should have already had my wave 40 but with the point bugs that disappear and the repeated crashes it is just impossible for me, game cut off all afternoon, in truth they say that in your pay to win you make sure that only the richest win 😉 as usual. I got 4 games earlier today though. Won 2 of them. It's a really fun mode, but people will follow the airdrop points in the short term. And a lot of us still want to level up our Illuvials a lot more, like my team isn't nearly ready to dominate yet...

For now, queuing right now will mainly happen during peak times I'd guess.

We also need ranked mode so people can queue with others who have similar levels of illuvials

Just a quick update (more to come in a dev blog next week). We are working on a new pipeline and infrastructure that will allow the team to build a bit more quickly. That will allow us to do some more fun things like view other boards in Gauntlet, and make the experience of chatting an flashign emotes at people all the more satisfying.

That being said it's going to be accompanied by some additional updates to Arena. The main thing is we are working through the final stuff for Gauntlet, and then on to Survival which is getting a uplift to be more fun. Ascendant will also be getting an uplift, but it will come after Survival.

I know that Ascendant lovers will be unhappy to hear that Gauntlet and Survival are getting work done first, but this is the most efficient way for us to get all the features out fastest.

One part of Leviathan modes is that currently we don't have a good way for you to select WHICH of your Atlases is used in the game. This has so many knock on effects to the immersion and fun of levelling up. We are combinging this work with some cool updates to Overworld. It's going to feel much more interconnected soon.

Can you clarify the exact issue? Is it that when you found 3 of the same illuvial and it fused into a higher one, it didn't have the traits and levels of that same type of Illuvial you own?

Just to clarify, if you own Atlas and (in a game of Arena) you fuse it into Axon, you won't see any stats from it. You must own an Axon in the overworld.

One of the thing we are building is a selector so that when you play other games it chooses the correct instance you own. (If you own two Atlases, you might want Bob the Atlas to get the exp gain, not Frank the Atlas)

More money doesn’t guarantee victory, but it does help. Levels are so powerful that realistically a player thay just focuses on leveling pretty good stat illuvials can compete quite well against someone who has perfect illuvials at lower levels.

My bad. What’s in progress is the general move to interconnecting them so you can jump between them from Overworld.

What is not in progress is jumping into another game in the middle of an Overworld run.

Oh, well thats exactly what we need so that players can join the queue and play overworld at the same time. This would fix queue times as lots of players can easily join queue at once.

Just needs an overlay button in the overworld UI and the players can join up. Everything is already saved/minted after each action, so it just needs a warning/delay in case the player is in the middle of doing something.

Possibly a cancel and confirm buttons option when 8/8 are ready, then if all confirm the match starts

This is not correct. If you capture something and then immediately your queue popped it wouldn't be available. There is definitely some work to do for this but as I said, it's a good idea.

I won about half the games I played. Most of my illuvials aren’t leveled to max. I only have a handful of perfect stats, and then just some good stats.

Many other players also had high level and stats, so it felt pretty good. Usually at least 2-3 others would beat me some rounds.

I’d say levels matter a lot, as they can boost Illuvial stats by 240%.

regarding the Legendary Augments in Gauntlet
Each player should be able to choose from the same given Legendary Augments.
the RNG factor can come in from the regual augments, but the legendary augements everyone should be able to choose from the same, which will also fix the complaints about warpwave/meteor, cause at that point if there is a meteor, all of you can get it if you want.

Nah, there should be randomization. It's more fun that way; TFT does too. However the augments each player are shown should be relatively balanced against each other.

For Gauntlet, I agree there is balancing issues no doubt. The solution(s) should be that overpowered augments are nerfed, and other powerful augments are introduced. A reroll system for the bad augments wouldn't be horrible either (as TFT does)

there is a bug in survival mode, when i upgrade 1 illuvium, time stands still, i can't start the match, Can't move other illuvium, only that illuvium I can't upgrade, if I upgrade it it will freeze the whole match

lol software doesn't rust, normally it gets better over time, it took like 6-8 years to Gods unchained to hit 250K$ volume a day in trading and I never though it would make it..... next crypto bull run will bring lots of players to real games. The fuel cost to raise it to LV57 is about 100-200$ depending on how you raise it, and the status is about 100$, so I think it's in the range of 200-300$, but I don't think it will actually sell for that price. The fact that it's high LV doesn't mean it's worth much at the moment.

True facts. The leveling is valuable for sure. But just not enough players building levaithan decks, or perhaps they are just building it themselves rather than buying it off the market. The thing about buying that one is that a key stat, the attack damage is reduced--that hurts the selling price as it is a crucial stat to have at 50%.

I could see it selling easily for $200+ if the playerbase grows though

just look on youtube for previous w40 clears, i'd recommend @bronze spire videos. Should give you an idea of the teams that can do it. I usually like going for colossus/mystic and make ur ranger the main damage dealer. If you get cosmic plates as a 100mp armor = insta restart

there are to many modes that the base player can't handle up would be nice to have limited games mode, like season 2 focus on gauntlet leviathan, season 3 focus on arena leviathan, so all players will queue at least 1 mode (talking about arena modes)

Yeah, 8 man game lobbies can be hard to fill. Even dota 2 auto chess with milllions of monthly players, sometimes had to wait several minutes to get a match.

I think the solution is adding the ability to join gauntlet matches while in overworld.

The other thing is adding the right incentives to the airdrop so players spend their time in the gamemode.

And of course, growing the overall playerbase is important too.
