If you can win with enchanter that is fine, but people would normally be supposed to one shot your team with the rhamphyre, so either you do something better or they do something wrong I think 😅

fair enough 😂 people still very new to the matchup, so its not super easy yet. Had a couple times where I killed Rhamphyre before casting. You need all the stuns though, especially if they have untargetable on it. If you do not send it right in the middle of all the enemy units you should be able to get a cast off easily

Ah no the 0 is just your elo rating. It will be difficult to find matches if you are super low though. It matches you against people of similar ratings. So if you are the vey lowest player then you have a hard time matching against the avarage one.

Honestly.. Don't even bother with casual. Nobody really plays it, you'll end up with huge queues. Just play ranked, and if you get too low (100-200), you can just create a new account, that's kinda the best way to practice at the moment
Other ways to practice is by watching certain youtubers (Viper and Illuvination for example), so you can see what's hot at the moment and some insight from their observations.
And of course, there are plenty of useful sites. Illuvimaster (just search it on google) for example has a dictionary for weird terms, info about classes and affinities and even a team builder where you can try stuff

How das the combat data for shield work?
When fighting first round against revenant they shield for every kill 400. They killed 3 of my illuvials (one still remaining) and shielded themself for 1200 and at least one ally for 1200 but the data shows just flat 400

Revenant is just frustrating in my oppinion. It is just about killing the first unit to win. They gain so much shield on one kill that you sometimes cant even see the health bar anymore, because the shield is so big

thats a hot topic but as of right now you only get rewards if you reach to 1k or higher..there are lots smurfs blocking spots in the leaderboard even if they dont get rewarded but the main issue imo is the low player count

Not sure how everyone is feeling about this, but I think moving units/replacing units needs to be reworked, maybe make it 2x more expensive so people move them less often. People be moving whole comps around every round end game, and it just feels so icky right now because everyone is running rhamphyre, which if placed well, you win/lose from that one unit. So much random luck to if you guess correctly about your opponents placement or not. Maybe reworking Rhamphyre's counters would also be helpful. I'm not sure. Maybe remove 40 energy augment should be worked to be the rear 1/3 of the board so that it's not so reliant on random positioning?

I taught a friend how to play today, his feedback on the first play is that the advanced filter should be on by default, not only that he said he would like to select multiple illuvials and drag them together. rat line is too strong in cost effective terms. Dust OP reduction is far too oppresive, revenant shield mechanic is too polarizing and inferno dot true damage is too high. Fix this and we are gucchy. Yes, they publicly stated that balance is not the goal right now. I know they recently made changes to rhamphyre, dust, revenant, etc, so they probably made those op so people would play them - just like they did to behemoth after making changes to them. This helps expose bugs in the changes they made and so they can then fix the bugs.

I also believe it’s confusing to the players because the reward system is competitive in nature with the tiered rewards - pushing players into a competitive mindset, but the game is not competitive at the moment.

I believe we’d have been much better served if the rewards structure was flat. For example, had they said: we’re not balancing the game right now and we understand it’s in a difficult balance spot, but if you play 50 games a week, we’ll reward you with .25 ILV or something.

I like that better than working everyone up to compete for ILV in a very non competitive, mostly random, arena environment.

Forcing to have only one of each augments per deck was a nice improvement, but the augments need to stay strong for a team to have a chance vs changing the deck.
For instance if you start the game with a team comp, you should be penalized for swapping team. Full swapping use to be an autolose because augments use to give some chance to a team heavy countered by the other team.
Because decks have 2-3 teams inside of them, we are seeing rounds 1-2 skipped a lot (we never used to see round 2 skipped).

To me its all about inferno melting colossus. Its fine that rha scales if not properly focused, he is the ultimate thread as a tier 5 stage 3 evolution of a fire-fire rogue-psion source. Tell me something more dngreous than this shit.

Now, glass canon illuvials should be weak to full tanks, so colossus should be able to win rha. They cant anymore because inferno is way too strong vs tanks. The omega damage and the OP scaling its perhaps a bit too high but for me the most oppresive stuff is the composite... It forces you to play a select number of illuvials or you just have no chance.

I would like to ask to someone to the team, what was the purpose of making inferno dmg true damage? Then there is literally no mechanic to counterplay it other than healing. If you wanted to for some reason make inferno good vs tanks, having gone with % health should have been enough. I think if we want to stop the go to overtime meta, instead we should nerf bulwarks and buff fighters. Fighters are completely abandoned. And empaths too (these are only used in clusters). Maybe a mechanic to make empaths stronger when isolated would be interesting, and as they stack in a place, the healing efficiency is debuffed proporionally. Idk, there are many solutions to the problem that was tackled, and the solution selected doesn't feel as a good one. Meta right now is at its worst state it has ever been.

Additionally, Rat line is too strong cost/effective wise and has a consistent bug (after omega it usually gets blocked at the end of the cast and can't move).

Tsunami and Meteor augments are not working properly in a consistent way. Sometimes wave doesnt proc and first meteors dont fall.

Rha omega, just as other aoe effects in the game (monkey stun or blind aoe) can affect units that enter the area after the cast, so that is clearly an issue to be worked out as well.

Thats the most important feedback in a nutshell that has popped out of my head. Would be great to receive feedback from the team as to what they think and if they are reading us? 🙂

My concern is that they mistakenly assume this game mode is bad without ever giving it a chance. I believe it can be an exciting and fun game mode, but the team actually needs to balance the game such that all or at least most Illuvials can be somewhat playable.

In such a state, I believe the game could be excellent. I also believe we’ve never experienced even a modest attempt to do this. Yet. I look forward to that day.

I think it might hit at full power. The start of the omega cast activates the augment. The omega can be interrupted since the pterodactyl is still targetable. I’d think the augment would proc and rebuff the omega power. But it’s possible that the power was based on what the omega power was at the moment of the start of the cast.

In this example, the Immune will just mitigate the Attack Speed debuff, but the Cleanse will remove all those stacks, hence you cannot be Frozen at 9 stacks, since they will need to start building back from 1.

that's what's called flipping a coin. moving a unit strategically is a thing, if your whole team was left side and you mvoe them all to right side, that's legit just a gamble, hence what i call the coinflip

when people win coinflips, they tend to say they are skilled, when they lose it is all rng, classic human thing

the "mindgame" stuff is just sorta gamblers fallacy, I do suggest people if they play teams with very obvious all in plays, swap comp/swap side/ wall or not etc. to actually use a coin or dice to take away the human tendency/mistake part of having some concious or subconcious bias

@worn tree our difference with the best players is that we have to learn the meta and practice it to be good but the best players don't need to, they can adapt very quickly

I hope so, more or less, we could go back to augments being better and or fewer slots in teams as well, maybe extra Illuvials released would fix more stuff, as then more options without ranger bonding could happen and be more powerfull than all in team swaps combined with bunch of 20 cost efficient augments, maybe more augments could fix this and make the 2x teams+ few augments stuff not meta or make it tier 2/lower

Indeed. The teams are working together quite well now. There were some issues with disconnects due to time zone differences. Now teams are better integrated. We’re learning. We really are.

Pure damage around the illuvial. Also heals on takedown I believe. At max stacks it prevents healing for a few seconds as well

Pure damage is extremely relevant so even tho toxic falls off a bit late, it's fantastic in the early game
