There is a bug in which units are outside the initial blind area from frost, but get blinded once they enter in it.

@zenith mortar jotun casting on dead units, frost blind affecting units initially outside of the range, but when entering after the blind cast, getting blinded for the remaining duration.
So far this, and well, after rounds, the right button move mouse to orientate screen sometimes get bugged as if it was W/S screen move.

Grit should lower the amount of phy dmg you take by a flat amount and resolve is the same thing but for energy dmg

you can watch replay of viper stream, if at some point you think you're laggiung and screen is frozen, it's not, it's just the whole map being frost

My first impression is Frost behemoth is OP and bloom was nerfed too hard. It's early days though so the meta may change.

Tbh, I think Illuvium needs a bigger testing team. There are many things in the patch that are super great, but many others that are easily detectable by playing 1 day and that are not player friendly.
I mean right now I could give a fucking list of easy fixes to make the experinece much better.
Periodic omnidiractional aoe ticks around illuvials doesnt give agency to players. Frost should be something more targeted, rather than omnidirectional aoe each 2.5 secs.And like that, many more stuff.
Of course, changing this now is not quick as it changes the underlying code of the game, but man, it could have been anticipated 😭
Id argue it was the omega power on bloom that's was the issue. Max health and regen were strong but not broken

the beginning of the mirror match feels like a coin flip. both put the frost behemoths on the board first turn. Sometimes I dont even deal 50% of the damage to the other Jotun, sometimes I win.

I think the seed says which frost tick hits first
and it full changes the outcome
I mean imagine toxic but instead of an omnidirectional aoe tick, it is each time the unit receives a melee aa or deals an aa (both ranged and melee). Imagine frost but instead of an omnidirectional aoe tick, it affects the target and enemy units in an arc behind the target the frost unit is aaing (similar to monkier cone). Much more agency, much more fun, less randomness and coinflips.
I did +300 elo today, nothing like grapsing the meta fast. Still, long way to go if we want to be top tier game in the world. We are definitely on the right track. In the DAO we trust.

Is there any way I can confirm if I have played the 15 games? in Illuvialmaster I can only count 8 games and I know I have more than 13.
all ranks were normalised around the last patch. Since then, these normalised people are sitting at the normal-Elo rating. so the cut-off range is 575 until a number of people play and the rank normalizes above the Inactive MMR, or these inactive members are deranked to a lower rating. (idk if these 575 are taken into account for the ranking rewards -> shouldn't. but dunno if they just stop 400 people from getting rewards)
The Frost is too strong yeah.
It's the slow too. But yes the stun with a single penguin Frost to multiple invokers is annoying too.
And Toxic is heavily countered by turn 1-2 behemoths because of the cleanse now.

hmm Viper beated me twice in the matchup frost vs Invokers yesterday, but he was basically playing frost for the first 4 rounds, to not insta-lose to bear, and then swapping the full comp to Invokers + Colossus.
some other people have been doing the same but with Blazenite, Frost into full swap to blazenite comp.
So i guess the common agreement at high elo right now is that for the first 4-5 turns nothing beats frost but you can outscale them with other stuff in round 5-6+
Yea, maybe invokers would have worked in round 5 which I wasn’t able to reach with the usual invoker build with the 3 water bulwarks and so on. It’s still pretty miserable if your cast gets interrupted once you lose the scaling ability

This makes sense. I couldnt figure out a way to win first few rounds against Frost/Behemoth. So its just a flip coin for the early rounds then transition
well it's a support class overall, so it's normal that you don't see it as impactful as arcanites or Invokers and it's normal then to not build a full comp around it.
I have succesfully used it 2 patches ago when it was umbre meta and i think they're fine. The defense buff on Archeleon is probably a step in the right direction of all Aegis actually needs.
Also new deck building restrictions might give more space for this kind of support synergies in decks. Just give people the time to optimize their builds and we'll see if it actually needs a buff/rework.

Yeah I think the 7 more of each resistance is offset by the 40 resistance from the augment debuff. 40+ more by dual augments and 30+ from bulwarks nerf

yes but overall, i think we're going the right direction by removing some power from synergies and augments, empowering more the player in illuvials choice. We're not there yet for sure, and i think everyone will agree that Frost got probably overbuffed, but if you take the patch as a whole it was going in the right direction imo.

Colossus taunt is bugged
and agro is unintentionally reset for behemoths after their empowered attack meaning that if they have 2 different targets in attack range when they do their empowered attack, they might, or not T_T switch target. @topaz lake @proven ember

sure, so here's how i noticed the issues, my behemoth ranger was backline right next to a Colossus Jotun, yet the opposing slashin was attacking my Ranger and not the Colossus, so chip units dont get the taunt or there's a weird interaction in the game with frost who pops at the same time?
then i move ranger front next to another colossus, and after it's empowered attack the sear just swapped target and started to attack my ranger.
so yes i get that since ranger has smaller hitbox it is technically closer, but i think we'll all agree that the game is better if when you control the focus to go to a specific unit, you should keep attacking that unit until it's dead or out of range.

we're not there yet. Instead you can follow the right content creators like @bronze spire or @cyan olive to know what's plaied at high elo. They very often provide guides with build orders and explanations alongside the link to import the team they're featuring.
Or on Twitter, Accounts like the Hyperion Guild or myself tend to share with the community the top decks from tournaments/Ladder.
could start by reducing the radius.. that aoe is huge! xD
my guess would be that it applies frost stacks too often and in an area too large.
i think If i was one to suggest something i'd try reducing the range from 7-10 hexes and have it apply every 3 or 3.5s instead of the 2.5 we have now and see from there how it goes. Still a buff compared to previous frost but i think since behemoth and Vanguards got heavily buffed too + Jotun buff, the Frost synergy would deserve to be not as good.
Overall we're again in the same situation we got with Blazenite nerf previous patch, we're doing giant swings on a way or another and it will be very hard to strike good balance like that.
I liked more the first few patches that were simply trying to fine tune, even if it then takes 3 weeks (assuming 1patch/week like we initially had) to bring something broken to the state of fair, priority is on having the game good for OB and i feel like giant swings delay that.

If you're goal is only the streaming allocation then yes it's randomly selected.
The more you stream and the more chances you have to drive users to use your link, sign up and download the game so it's still beneficial to stream more.
To clarify, there are :
- 77 ILV allocated weekly for creators that drive the most traffic and engagement through their links (as stated above)
- 23 ILV allocated weekly to be distributed to randomly selected streamers who are eligible.

I have been thinking. For the game to have a clearer stage phases (early-mid-late) I propose the following: @topaz lake @coarse echo @proven ember
During rounds 1,2 and 3, tier 0 and 1 units get a slight bonus (say 10% to all stats, of course TBD according to balance).
During rounds 3,4 and 5, tier 2 units get the bonus.
During rounds 4 onwards, tier 3 units get the bonus.
This way you incentive the players to actually play early, mid and late game units.
I would love to know thoughts on this as it is quite impositive, but well balanced could definitely be extremely interesting for meta health and mana curve spending.
I'm still want to consider by team update, where unit stage 1 can carry on only aug stage 1, stage 2 can carry 1/2 augs, and stage 3 can carry any augmentation, looks like it will force ppl play late game units and bring some balance against rush decks with 7 little grokko or so.

How to tell if an illuvial is physical based damage or energy based?
Is it a bug when I try to see enemy team and I only see augments, or illuvials, or weapons, but not everything?

I had a first turn where ranger went to attack ranger and jotun to jotun - why does one ranger attack earlier than the other? shouldnt they be the same pace / distance and everything so be able to attack at the excact same time?

Frost is overpowered. Its the only issue in the meta. That and bloom being totally fucked up, for the rest, we are very close to a sweet spot in terms of balance.
I hope the team tunes down frost soon, that is fast to do.

i'm not talking about cast time, he takes his time to cast, but then you have to wait quite some time after the animation and the damage was dealt for the heal to proc, which seems like a bug

I'm still trying to beat frost but nothing is working yet but so far the team that came closest of me was a wildfire Templar. I will keep testing till I find a counter team
The biggest difficulty is trying to keep distance to stop freezing
I got destroyed by a templar team yesterday. matched the same dude immediately again and positioned as far away as I could. When they are moving and not as close together anymore they sadly also get beaten
I think wildfire Templar might be the team to go with it is just a matter of what to have in the rest of the team and how to place them
Today's summary:
Jotun omega casts a lot on dead targets.
Frost is way too OP and is low agency.
Bloom is destroyed and needs buff.
There is a UX UI bug after round the camera doesnt move as it should.
Much less dc and bugs, amazing job on this end.
Augments shouldn't linearly scale with cost (reasons explained like 24h ago). In a nutshell, there should be a tax for bringing higher raw power on your deck.
Staging incentive:

Yup, but he is op because behemoth is perhaps a bit too strong and because of frost. The illuvial alone is just fine, but the cast on dead target feels like shit.
I do not agree with this concept. a 100 cost illuvial should be (more or less) as strong as 4x 25 illuvials (balancewise), right? so it is your strategic choice whether you want to go with big units or small ones. The concept you are describing, everyone would need to play small units the first three rounds. Diversity is good. Plus if you buff them in the first three rounds, the game can be almost over already
I don't think the frost illuviuls are too strong I think they are in a good place themselves the problem is that frost itself is too strong. It can freeze your entire team every 3-5 seconds as the Polar bear and penguin take their time taking every one down one by one
Then adapt to the meta. Same rules for everyone, more dynamic games. To enrich creativty and game transition. It makes me sick to see decks with 8 illuvials. The definition of meta abuse and matchmaking coinflip.
If we do a meta that encourages illuvial diversity like this, imitating playstyles round by round wont be as easy.

Behemoth is strong I will say that but it only stalls one enemy where frost can stop your entire team and that combo is what is broken. I just hope that what ever they do change is just the frost and let us see how things go from there. I like the polar bear I would still like it to be usable

i do agree, currently it seems like the stronges 8 illuvials are basically very clear and you do not need more / others no matter what match up - which is very bad. but this problem will hopefully get solved when frost wont be as op anymore (fingers crossed)
I think a fix to frost would be to decrease the radius and increase the time between frost ticks

It was massively buffed sir. From 4 to 2.5 i like a 75% buff.
Additionally, they buffed frost specific units massively (both pengolin and polar bear line) and vanguard got buffed.

They have nerfed a huge amount of things, and they have buff frost, jotun, vanguard, behemoth... and the result is as expected, I don't know what the people who balance the game think, as soon as you play 2 games you will realize that what they have done makes no sense. I have lost 2 games in a row against a guy who is so good that he puts his frost ranger on the opposite side of the board... I have positioned all the important units outside of frost, and he has won every round. People haven't realized it yet, but soon everyone will be playing that and the game will be unplayable until they fix it, you will only be able to play frost and at most, something that will counter it, if something manages to counter it.

The game can be good and terribly poorly balanced. The previous patch was very poorly balanced, it was more understandable because they are touching things like augments, or many units have to be tweaked. What they have done with this patch is simply doing things wrong. It is normal to have problems, especially when you are defining mechanics, the problem with this patch is not knowing how to balance the game.

the ranger who attacks first deal the 4th attack during the opponent 4th attack animation, then you not only stun the opponent but also cancel his stun attack, from there the stunned ranger don't get to play the game anymore 🙂

I have tried playing invokers to counter frost because their damage is not based on attacks but on casting abilities. It hasn't been of any use, between the stuns and the ice... Could they even revert the changes to frost and related units?
It's a very simple thing to do, and then you'll see if Frost really needed a buf or not.
I keep getting beat by people who put their frost mele ranger on the opposite side of the board... just because they play those pieces...

I have found a bug with frost. When a unit goes to cast its ability and is frozen, it casts it, loses mana but does no damage. I'm not talking about the skills that the character casts for a long time like singe, I'm talking about skills like Ophisto's, where the character does the animation, you see the spell, it loses the mana but it doesn't do damage.
I don't think what's happening with the game is the game's fault, it's the patch's fault. What is worrying is that they want the game to be an eSport and release a patch like this.

Every game has balancing issues, and I don't think I've ever seen a patch on any game as poorly balanced as this one. I have never played a game where only one composition could be played in any card game or autobattler. And the worrying thing is that you only needed to try the composition a little to realize how broken it was.
just makes you think their balance team is focused on their internal game which has all the illuvials unlocked including some hard counters against the polar bear. im not defending the patch but i do think its of little worry. i keep in context the curve of being a young companys first live pvp service

It has no explanation or justification.
now they have the stats to see how much of a pendulum swing is caused by X stat movement. theyre building out their process
Dont worry man, they will soon be implementing an AI system to balance the game out. So this imbalance issues will completely vanish.
Dont give up and keep learning because this game and this IP is here to stay.

It is an exponential machine that starts slowly and then grows faster and faster. This IP has high chances to conquer the world of entretainment.
I remember when they added Marci in dota, that unit was completely busted. It was in every comp for 3 weeks until they looked into it. The result after the nerf was that Marci went from S+ tier to C tier. 2 weeks later it was buffed and never changed for 3 months.

There are times when a unit or composition doesn't work because people don't know how to play it. Or it works too well because people don't know how to counter it. In this case, people win without even knowing how to play the composition, or position their units... in the best, best case scenario, the entire game will revolve around frost and only decks that can counter it will be played , if there is anything that can counter a composition that makes the rest of the pieces literally unable to do anything, even the sorcerers themselves who don't rely on auto attacks, and if that weren't enough, the composition is based on tanks like jotun that stun, heals itself and does a lot of damage, and rogues so that you have no way to avoid or counter sinergy. If you really are not able to realize how poorly balanced it is, you have a huge problem.
In fact it can be easily summarized: your units can't attack, they can't cast abilities, they can't hide, they can't kill their units. I don't see how something like that can be considered balanced.
they even cancel omegas... gyro uses his omega and spins into a frost... if he gets frozen he stops in his place and does no damage and no dust cloud
Theres absolutely no other option than play early and mid game with frost-behemoth, this is how broken the meta is right now.

I'm all for ILV and I've played quite a bit of Hearthstone/Battlegrounds/Underlords and I feel the learning curve on this is crazy. Maybe this is partially because there isn't any tutorial or anything..

Yeah it's a known issue and tutorials are being worked on.
Let's not forget though. Open beta will be a more organic experience. You'll slowly build teams over time and learn the game gradually. Unlike now where all illuvials are available to you day one

I think as @mighty tulip said a slower rollout might make more sense.. but even then I think it's not really intuitive on team/deck building as to what a balanced team/deck looks like.
Well the thing is that you’re thrown into a mode which isn’t the typical starting point if you’re getting into illuvium. It will be in the Overworld where you learn the basics of fighting etc
And then of course you need to invest time to master strategies and learn by playing the cards to know exactly what they’re doing and so on
Just a little bit of feedback as someone who's decided to look into this about 12h ago. Guessing a lot of this stuff will get tidied up later on but..
- Might be worth making it known that your EpicGames and Illuvium usernames are completely separate.
- As a new player it took me around 2-3 games to figure out where my 'choose team' button is. Would make this a tooltip going into it.
- If crafting own deck, there should probably be some guidance on standard deck ratios as to illuvials/augments/weapons/suits as an example.
I watched a few 'new player' guides on YouTube and maybe the content I was watching wasn't great.. but it didn't really lessen the learning curve much at all.
And what’s missing is a replay feature to understand what was happening in a round I feel like.
I don't know what the expectation is from a random user perspective as to how many games you would play semi-confused before committing or giving up.
Yeah. I've played 5 games and I mean visually yes I get who's winning, what units are dying, but I couldn't really tell you why at all.
But if the expectation is that people are going to watch gameplay guides from third party content creators, I think that needs to be linked somewhere (maybe it is, but I didn't see it). That's just my thoughts. Then again I have no idea who they want playing this open beta.

Yeah, I mean I have no idea how damage works for example (is it fixed? range bound?) and only figured out moving illuvials around costs gold (or whatever the actual unit is) because at one point it told me I couldn't do it. I was like "Oh, probably should've known that before dragging my stuff all over the board" lol.
And a genuine question.. if one game lasts say 15-20 minutes, how many games should a user have to play before "understanding" the game? Cos I'm sure there is a threshold where people just start to give up if they don't really understand why they're winning/losing.

These are all things that will come in the Overworld I think. For instance if you put your very first illuvial on the board, you will get an info or something mentioning that now you can move your unit freely, but in the following rounds it will cost mastery points, so choose wisely and think ahead or something

In my case. Place unit arbitrarily knowing half the units gonna teleport. And then see a bunch of stuff going on. I know stuff is being frosted/blinded and the fire/steam guys go in the air and do AOE. Meanwhile stuff is dying, but to what I don't know.

Consider it a testing phase in which public is the guinea pig. This way there is player engagement and they are using us as a macro testing team. The reward for our efforts are the ranking rewards.

Consider 3 colossus and 3 bulwarks. Let's do some maths to showcase why bulwark imho is way too strong:
3 colossus: are 600 extra hp and 60 extra resist on 3 units of around 2000hp. This traduced in relative terms means that each unit gets 30% additional endurance thanks to hp bonus and then 60% additional endurance thx to res bonus. This traduces to a bonus endurance of 108% on 3 units.
An overall team endurance increase of 324%
3 bulwark gives 40 bonus resist on bulwarks and 18 bonus resist on the rest of the team. Considering a full deployed team of 8 illuvials with avg hp of 1500 we have that 3 of them get an effective endurance 40% and 5 of them get and effective endurance of 18%.
3 * 40%+5 * 18%=210%
Playing 3 colossus costs minimum 140g (allowed as a 1 turner from round 4 onwards). Playing 3 bw costs minimum 75g (allowed as a 1 turner since game start).
Cost effect ratio you get these rough estimates:
3bw: 1 mp -> 3% team endurance.
3colossus: 1mp -> 1.6% team endurance.
So not only bw is more cost effective providing team tankiness, it is more flexible due to its overall low cost.
Note that this are just rough estimates with many hypothesis and aproximations that benefit bw calculus. Still, one easily gets to see how the bulwark class is still boosted despite recent nerf. Also note that I am comparing a class vs a composite, colossus should be stronger in terms of raw power level as it requires more expensive units.
This is how it feels in game, and this is what rough maths confirm.

But they have significant omegas with impact at a very low cost. I know last patch addressed this, and it this sense its solved now.
However, when you combine the omega value, the cheap body on board, the sturdiness they provide on the overall team, they are too cost effective yet.
Imo they need to have their resist stats tuned down.
If we have 40 on them and 18 on team right now, maybe 30 and 12 would make more sense.

this is not the time where everyone gonna stream regardless, it will happen once game is ready and team decides to market through numerous streamers getting us to #1 streamed on the platform, which will get eyes on us, and at that point as long as the game is good it will prosper
the one thing your calculation completely occludes imo though is the actual value the units themselves provide on the board. 3 Lesser Grokkos aren't even close as good as 10MP ranger + Cardulox + Gnarl.
Also in 3 Colossus you can have built in Toxic or Verdant. 3 Grokkos provide no extra synergy.
Colossus also provide a Taunt which Bulwarks don't.
All this to say that unlike what i understand from your post, 3 Colossus are Significantly stronger than 3 bulwarks.
And last but not least, It is not meant that ONLY expensive units are playable. We kept advertising for 2 years that the game wouldn't be "too much pay2win" that passed a certain entry barrier (at a reasonable price i hope) only skill matters, so we can't just make T0 and basic synergies crap either, it needs to be a choice between do i want a bit of tankyness for entire team or A LOT of tankyness on 3 units.

Specially the part where you say that T0 units should be decent enough to be playable.
However, I still think that the bulwark class is significantly better than empath/fighter or rogue. Just psion and bw see some play as basic classes. And bulwark tends to be played in every team to enhance the already strong composites in the meta. If bw were balanced, we would see other boosters such as empaths or fighters. We dont see that regularly at all, even after bw nerf.

I like overtime. What it means and how it feels
So, at 45s speed up fight - think fast forward - then at 55s add the death rattle in - but with controlling the 10s of fast forward speed you can greatly increase the odds of the battle playing out fully before implementing said death rattle.
overtime atm is bad for drain tanks, e.g. was bad for phosphorus, with speed up, that bird prob 1vX anything in overtime
speed up would be a buff to those kinda units, also a buff to e.g. behemoth or anything that has stuns, benefits of atk speed or has big aoe spell, so e.g. seeforus/ophisto would be better as well
you see that in TFT, overtime timing luck is deciding some games, due to do you cast 1 sec before/after
If you can fix this issue, then I'd be more understanding: Frost vs Frost exact mirror - you snipe your enemies ranger immediately and would win the match, but somehow in overtime you lose because... reasons.

Yeah - rebalance issues are minor compared to giving the user the most pleasant experience possible. And for me (not saying for everyone here), but for me, overtime feels bad quite often. Not to mention the seizure effect.

and i won a "card" which activates waves in battle. i think after 7 seconds after start and than from time to time.
But no wave came. do i have to activate this by a key? or do i have to give it to an illuvial with a special class?
the wave augment is bugged atm , bounding illuvial gives you either the synergy of the illuvial or if u equip a waepon like sword and bond with an bulwark illuvial or bulwark composite u get behemoth ranger

Spin can get easily interrupted by stuns or frozen effects. Plus Jotun is so much better than sear in a 1 v1, plus frost wins hyper on magma. No chance.

You loose 25%. And decimals are cut off. So selling a 25 grokko will give you 18 mastery points back

team have to see any in game balance solution for meta decks. Patchs like this, specially when illuvials worth money, can scare players. My suggestion is a banishment in the start of the match. Player could banish any card of the opponent. Or any solution with balance idea would be nice!
Jotun would be worth a lot of money right now. But in other updates, the value could drop significantly
someone grinds really hard for weeks or buys that Jotun for 100 ILV only for you to say you cant use that thing in the battle, pretty bad experience that would be, just an example not saying that illuvials will be 100 ILV in future

A buyback doesn't make much sense, because Illuvium isn't selling individual Illuvials. You'd have bought it off someone on the secondary market, who would then have your 100 ILV in this example. Illuvium wouldn't have your 100 ILV to buy your newly nerfed Illuvial back with.
Yes, but ILV will presumably have a DAO of some sort and having an active happy playerbase is worth something.
Reimbursing players for their purchasing decisions because game balance happened isn't something likely to be net beneficial for the DAO, IMO.
Hmm. You could offer a buyback based on how long the player has held the card though.
So a scaling refund, if they bought it the day before the nerf, their reimbursement is higher (maybe 50%) and if they have held it most of the season or whatever, you could scale it to zero or something. I'm just throwing ideas out there.

If we're looking at this like more traditional assets, your municipality could decide to build or change something that changes the value of a property. A lot depends on how frequent and telegraphed the changes are.
I don't believe Axie ever reimbursed anything - but I'm not sure if they changed much mid seasons and stuff.
Drastic mid-season balance is generally unpopular, and for good reason - People want to play with the stuff they've gotten and not have it become non-functional. I agree with that idea.

What I don't agree with is the idea that players would end up being "owed" something because a balance change was necessary. Obviously game breaking bugs need to be fixed, whether or not a season is at the start, middle, or end. I also don't think having the DAO involved in anything like Illuvial buybacks is a good idea. It would be better to plan for minimal major balance passes at random times, and to concentrate those changes at a pre-specified time, like the end of a season.

Lots of people learn to play games through video content - It's pretty much the defacto way for players of any game to get up to speed on nuances of gameplay.

What do you consider onboarding? Things like "Place an Illuvial from your deck on the field. Click on an Illuvial and drag it to the board to place it." should be in-game tutorials. Nuances like "Top 10 Giga-Comp and how to play it" are better done by content creators.

I'd say understanding the rules of the game and how to interact with them at a basic level are tutorial topics. Why someone is winning/losing can get pretty complicated, and might be too much for tutorials, although in-game metrics can be super helpful in figuring that out.

We've spent a bit more time on the auto balancing so our manual balancing has missed the mark. We're still adding in new Illuvials so sometimes this can affect things. But in any case we are on it.
Awesome news. On the draft mode, can it include custom matchmaking? I am assuming it involves bringing 3 teams or something

To begin it will probably be all modes. We're testing a few different ideas on how drafting should work. There's a lot of different meanings to a 'draft mode' so maybe others have a different idea to us. I'd be interested to hear what anyone thinks would be their preferred solution.
easiest coming into mind would be we queue in 3 teams, enemy sees 3 teams and decides to ban 1, then we're offered the choice to pick between the 2 remaining
What Style said is my primary thought, my only other thought is your opponent sees your team and bans 2 illuvials and 2 augments from your team, you play with the remaining 24
You kinda instantly fix the meta. Can't play Jotun cause it gets banned every game 😛
Also if they have 4 Jotuns, they all get banned with 1 click
Can you queue in with 3 teams that are all the same? If not, how different must they be?
That's why it gets super complicated hahaha 😛
3 illuvials different would be my recommendation
it depends on game state
rn augments are useless so you can stack 18 illuvials
before augments were super powerful so you wouldn't dare go all illuvials with 3 augments
one way to track the difference could be through composite synergies
like if a team as frost in, a team, there can't be frost synergy in the 2 others, if it has inferno , can't be in the 2 others, and so on

and if a team has more than 3 of a basic class/Affinity, can't be in another team
to avoid having 3 teams with 7 psions or 7 fighters or 7 empaths
(all of this taking out the weapons)
