I just watched this vid about the rise and decline of a popular fortnite streamer anyway

It talked of the humble beginnings of fortnite

No one was playing it and alot of popular streamers bashed it saying the new free to play battle royale mode was low quality due to it being free to play and revolutionalising the industry and scared of low quality

I can see something with illuvium too, we are revolutionalising web3 play to own, and also have humble beginnings too

Shortly after fortnite had no players it exploded to superstardom

Thus we can also do so, of course our game is so much more positively complex and diverse and different of course

Took months of mediocore player base on fortnite before it exploded

I can see illuvium exploding after a while too especially with full release around q1

I'm just happy to see that the quality of the game is as they promised from the start! I think I'm also in the minority that doesn't care about delays. I just want a good finished product. Maybe they should just take double the amount of time so they finish earlier then the deadline and look like heroes! Under promise and over deliver.
But that's probably easier said than done, especially coming from a armchair expert like myself 😅

There is literally no monster catching auto chess competitor in the world

We are single handedly the monster catching title

With the greatest coolest animated fun characters and auto chess quadriple A game for real

Didn’t think it would run this smoothly but the bells and whistles are running so smoothly and gears are moisturised

Trying to be unbiased here but I think it's been pretty great for a first look at the game.

There is a ton we need to implement yet, even subtle things like VFX on Legendary Augments for example

but so far the rate at which they are showing concern, addressing issues on the spot, shows a tonne of care and effort for improving issues and improving game, with this momentum of care, i can only see a bright future for the game

Everyone is aware that this is not the final state of the game, literal humans are working hard to make it better. I think they will preform better with a positive environment. Alright, I see where you are coming from now and you may even be right.
I have completely the opposite perspective, but that may be because I played the most games at the time CoD mw2 was popular. It was on of the most popular games at the time and it was full of game breaking bugs that where only patched after six months, some are still in the game to this day.
So I'm already impressed with the pace they are releasing and updating the games. But maybe my perspective is outdated.

You are right about that. And I agree that there should not be any game breaking bugs. I just don't think it will make or break illuvium in this point of time. I think they can afford to make a few mistakes until they fully launch the game. Like I said, this is the time to find these kind of bugs and I don't think the time pressure is as big at the moment as you do. But we're mostly on the same page now, so that is nice 🙂

Toxic scaling is terrible especially as a soft counter to empath which is too weak anyway

3 toxic only adds 50hp to takedowns
4 toxic only adds one stack faster and 50hp on top

But 5 stacks max, 5% per second max damage at maxed out toxic which takes a long time, is terribly low damage

Toxic 3 should be 1.5 toxic stacks and 6-7 max stacks total

Toxic same but 7-9 max stacks total

I really understand it s taking time for building, but for me the work should be splitted in 2 ways :

• minor bug, ok no rush make a flushed patched with many minor bug even if it takes time
• critical bug (the broken crit for exemple), just send a patch in a hurry, like 24/48 hours just for the critical thing.

Yeah while people are of your ranking, they can use annoying decks that are considered imba 😛

You also have people who make new accounts and then grind the rankings again. So stuff like that can happen.
The longer you are in a Qeue, the wider the disparity as well. So if you are 900 and qeue for 5 minutes you may be up against someone around 1700 orso. Best to sometimes restart that to ensure you play against someone around your level 🙂

And then there’s the

Damage
There are three types of attack damage to health:
physical damage, energy damage, true damage (always unmitigated)

Rogues, fighters, and bulwark do physical damage.
Empath and psion do energy damage.
Usually the difference is also melee or ranged.
That’s a little over generalized. But like 95% accurate I think.

Is fighting with rogues a lot about trying to do unexpected repositioning? To get around the opponent placing e.g. an indomitable tank at the back?

I'm used to comps were repositioning is more of a last resort, because it costs a lot of mastery that I want to put into augments

But I'm finding with rogue comps positioning and repositioning can be more 'cost effective' than extra arguments?

Just stacking augments is too powerful in general. Should only be allowed to choose one augment to play per augment line. Would open up a lot more slots for team building as well. So people would probably have a lot more illuvials on their team and less augments.

composites getting stronger with basic affinities is not a thing anymore. it used to be - the more psion and rogue units u have, the stronger the phantom buff will be. now you just get a phantom buff the more phantoms u place and the basic affinities enhance your whole team no matter the composites.

yoiu were awarded too many mastery point, but it s kinda visual, you spend it and at the start of the round, the server sees that you spend more than what you should, then it reverted.

Ive experienced a bug where the UI gives me more points in a round than it should, and the backend would respond with an error message and revert the illegally spent points. I've experienced this bug multiple times, at least 4 times or so. Not seeing it in the change log (or I missed it). Is this something that the team has on its list ?

sounds like a known bug where sometimes you would get more mastery points in a round than you supposed to. if you spend just what u usually would get that round (e.g. 120 in round 3) then all is good. if you spend more than you would normally have it sells your illuvials to make up for it.

I wouldn’t start with ascendant (PvP). Survival is fun and a great tool to learn arena before just jumping in with real life sharks. Just an idea because I know I’d be frustrated if I didn’t have my survival experience and I really enjoyed playing that game a lot.
