How many arena "modes" are there plans for on release? I have to be honest I never considered a non-stat Illuvial arena to be a thing when I first found Illuvium and am really shocked that it's being considered. Splitting your playerbase in that way seems counter to everything that you're trying to produce with OW and IZ.

Beyond leaderboard is fine and standard. I was thinking of having some ‘odd bonuses in there’ like; random reward to someone who played at least 5 games this week. (To incentivise play)

And maybe in random rotation: Reward to someone who beat another player with only water Illuvials, or only bulwark, or only tier 2 (think any other random criteria) to incentivise new play styles.

Reward for the 2 players who had the longest fight.

Reward to the player that dealt the most damage in a fight.

Random stuff like that, to make it more engaging for more players

Lights chosen is bugged and often dont give the buff when your other units are already on board. To fix this you have to sell and put back on board the units you want buffed, still need to have them the closest though.

Always be sure to check the attack speed of the unit before and after you place them to make sure the buff is on.

Check points have been my least favorite addition to PB3 tbh. I was begging for it and now that we have it my mindset is "Why would I use a checkpoint instead of starting back from wave 1 with all of my checkpoints" and then the session for a leaderboard run is 1.5-2 hours of the same waves until optimized.

I have to admit it's actually....really difficult to even find where to login from the illuvium.io landing page

I know where to go, but there isn't a direct link anywhere and clicking play now just initiates the "interested in beta access?" prompt

now that I play with it, on my chrome at least, the "play" button in the menu dropdown from illuvium.io is rather unresponsive. works like....maybe 10% of the time on single push. If I doubleclick, the dropdown menu goes away after the first click but it's the second click that almost registers like an actual hyperlink click

The one I can think of is the Wildfire bonus. It doesn't seem to have any impact whatsoever when I'm using it, so it's either too weak to be noticeable compared to other bonuses, or it's not working properly.

Also, a hotkey to show AoE range on my units would be nice. (Atippos and Lynxes for instance)

I think a "range finder" for abilities would be very nice as others have suggested. Some things appear to be broken, but it's hard to tell with everything going on - an example - occasionally, some units will do absolutely no damage or just laughably little damage when I'm expecting them to behave normally. I feel it's most notable with the Dualeph or Gyro. It's possible I'm missing something, but this last time was just egregious - Had three separate casts of my Dualeph to enemy Dualeph (late game with omega +2 every second on my dualeph) and it still didn't kill enemy Dualeph - health and magic resist were normal (enemy dualeph was squishy), but not taking damage.

To expand on that - some type of output of what's happening in the fight - text or visual would be helpful. For example, in poker - we have hand histories - maybe a "battle history" would be nice. Also, the damage done resetting immediately after the round to all 0's is annoying, would love to be able to access that longer. Leaderboards should be viewable and visible to everyone with a weekly or monthly or even seasonal leaderboard with like everyone's top 3 finishes for the week counting for points or something to allow the more casual players to compete and not have the hard-core grinders get too much advantage.

When I press Empath, I want to look Empath only.
Next, When I press Bulwark, I want to look Bulwark only.
Now it shows Empath and Bulwark
Furthermore, if you press Earth from here, you will only see the Empath Bulwark Earth unit.
This makes little sense because

If you want to see Emath Bulwark at the same time, why not have multiple views only if you press +Ctrl?
By default, if Emath is pressed, only Empath then press Earth, make sure that all Earth units are displayed.

The same goes for augments, I want to look the augment only one press.
Each time you have to press the illuvials button and turn that off as well to see only augments.
At the moment when I press the Classes button I can't tell visually at all, so I have to click it several times to make sure.

If you have a full team, and place one more illuvial it gets deleted from your deck and the fight auto-starts.
Then if you reset to a new run the same happens to every illuvial on your deck so you're stuck on ranger alone until you restart the client.

Why isn't the Revenant ability triggering on 90% of the Takedowns, is there a time limit on the shield that isn't mentioned anywhere?

I'm Like just mediocre player, but if you wana go up into the leaderboard. I feel Like you shouldn't focus too much on counter-affinities to get hyper. Just Find out what are strong synergies for your own team and which illuvial work well together with the given augments you have.
Using hyper-mechanic as it is right now would be Like the last thing in my priority list.

My steps when do my run is Like.

1. What augments do i have
2. Which illuvials are good to use for this augments.
3. Which illuvials do i choose to complete the synergies i have given from Step 2.

I think the game is fairly easy to learn but can be overwhelming at the start. Imo this is mainly due to no tutorial and non-optimal UI for beginners.

At this early beta stage it just hasnt been a priority to develop those yet but it will come with open beta.

The new synergy rework was a great pivot to ensure it wont be to complicated and overwhelming for new comers.

Before open beta i dont see any benefit from doing this because at this early stage user retention is not the an important priority. Being this early and not even in pvp even with the best tutorial and UI to help new players learn the game they wont really stay much more as people are waiting for pvp &/or for the ecosystem / economy to start.

The whole dev team is laser focus on getting the games out and are fully booked for many months so anything that doesnt have a very big impact compared to dev work has to wait its turn in the priotity list.

Tutorial and better UI will fullfil this need fully when open beta starts, 3rd party and community content creation will also be way more present wich will help.

You can kill them all. I think 3 rogue, 3 bulwark, 3 water, 3 fire and double phantom tsunami can get it done. Birdy needs to fly at least three times. I also did it with Templar/triple wildfire, but I’m not sure that was as strong.

Interesting, that's very similar to what I was doing (had 2 more fire units instead of the water lynx and archie).
My team just took timeout damage faster than the enemy team.
Is it affected by resistances or something?

damage gets split by all units

so if you have less units you take more damage per unit

and then you heal a little from your empaths and win
