Illuvium is literally a modernised pokemon and it makes so much sense, the fact it has crypto and NFT technology integrated into it just shows its potential but you have to remember how many people are even just scared to invest in crypto in general which is a massive shame because they're missing out on a huge jump.

Of course these effects last for the duration of the effect. They are not obtained passives for the rest of the fight.

Clumsy: can not dodge attacks.
Blind: can not land attacks.
Silence: can not cast omega abilities
Less sure:
Indomitable: can not catch any additional debuffs.

Some other terms that I may confuse Indomitable with:
Hardened: is unable to be critted on. -ignores extra crit damage

Slayers have this thing where they stay alive with 1 hp right? what is that term? It to me sounded a lot like indomitable.

I mean, just in terms of Illuvials added we are working at a rate of 12 per month. That’s 50% faster than TFT. With a staff a fraction their size.

There is a real opportunity to cater to gamers if they feel like these little things are fixed and issues are heard, cause it's rare in web 2. Small bug fixes/improvements go a long way in changing gamers mindset in a more positive direction. Every time the game is played focus is on the enjoyment, instead of the little know bugs which in the end makes you want to rip your hair out of your skull after too much grinding.

The message was more about the feel the gamers get when there are no update on small bugs for a prolonged time. I do recognize all the hard work that's going on behind the scenes.

ALSO, I couldn't agree more on your focus with pvp. Survival doesn't matter to me, I would just be glad to see faster iterations in pvp.

We’re in development though. Minor bugs aren’t the focus during private beta. If we spend our time on those the progress slows to a crawl. And maybe that bug is fixed by some other change that is coming.

I guarantee we ARE the sort of team that will solve minor bugs. We just can’t do it now.

It’s a private beta. The answer is simply: We won’t update rapidly yet, especially when we don’t have a patching system for certain types of bug. It means everyone needs to DL 10GB every time. Once a patcher is in place you’ll get more rapid updates. All I can ask is to please be patient.

Hey @edgy flower yes its bugged, you have to giveup or play again (completly finish your run) to have your real score. We often lose a couple kills when we stop on late waves and on some days its worst than others.

Been playing a bit of arena since I got beta and one thing I was surprised about was from first look I thought you would start off with stage 1 and as a part of progression in waves you can upgrade to stage 2 and 3 along the way. Has something like this been talked about in the past? I am brand new so excuse my lack of knowledge

In the arena, different stages are different units, they don't upgrade in the same fashion as most other autobattlers. In the overworld, 3 copies of a stage 'X' Illuvial can be fused into 1 copy of a stage 'X + 1' Illuvial (assuming the stage X+1 is an Illuvial that exists)

So mine does the same as well I figured a way around it, when you begin competition you can still play but only have half the amount of time to set your illuvials.

So like wave 1 I think it's like 30 seconds to plan but you have to be hitting start before the clock hits :15 and so on with each wave after.

Makes it a little more challenging especially after like wave 21 when normally you'd have like 120 seconds to plan you get about 60 seconds and after that you get nervous cuz you don't want it to crash, but what I learned is it helps with being able to analyze the field a lot faster and efficient so if you get use to it now once the bug is fixed you'll feel like you have infinite time to plan

Try to notice if its only the last 5s. I had that going on for 2 days a while ago, crashed like 10 times 100% of the time at 5s with the red lights. It fixed itself and never crash now.

ATM all we really have about pvp is

• an old schematic explaining kinda the loop
• little info from a interview of Aaron with vetemor if I remember correctly, where he explain little things like the focus is to have game between 5 to 10 or 15 min and each round will remove some health to Mozart and it will be gradually.
  Exemple you start with 1000hp, 1 round the looser loose 50hp, round 2 the looser loose 200hp, 3rd round the looser lose 600hp that s the idea.

That s pretty much all we know 😉

Might there be a possibility that it takes some time to learn the intricacies of the game? Yes, it’s still under major development and there’s things to improve, but damn do I enjoy playing the game much more now that ever before. Once you put in a certain amount of time into the arena it opens up new levels of depth that we’re previously hidden.

It's not really a troll tbh. For someone without autobattler experience, it may seem like a lot to grasp, but once you are accustomed to the genre, everything just starts to make sense and it gets a lot easier to understand. The main thing is that you don't have to understand every 'strategic' detail to play the game. You can put units on the board and watch them fight. Just like with any game, the more you play, the more you begin to understand the deeper complexities.

New to auto-battlers. Just watched Andrew Wall's tutorial video on private beta 2 and must say it is overwhelming for a beginner. Out of curiosity are the current auto-battler games out there this complicated too?

You place units on the board and they fight. As a newcomer to autobattlers, don't worry about all the mechanics in play, you can learn those over time. Focus on one small thing at a time until you understand how it works, then you can start to form strategies to try to improve your gameplay. Just like in a first person shooter where you can shoot your weapon at the opponent without being good at the game, in an autobattler, all you have to know to get started is that there are some units on the board, and they battle each other via some predetermined rules.

look at tft, they dont have any of the surrounding games and only the pvp and are doing just fine

but we get overhauls of ilz buildings, profile pics in illuvitars, 7 regions in overworld etc... but when there are huge gamebreaking bugs making the little real gameplay we have unplayable, it literally takes 8 weeks to push an update to keep the pvp betatesters happy, not a single update or time-path regarding the pvp... its all just very frustrating to me

With the current state of the game your detailed positionning doesnt matter too much especially with rogue team. Sjud is doing JPP (just press play) to laugh at the state of the game.

You can try it for youself its pretty easy to have a very low time by just insta clicking start and adding a rogue more when you can. Today all waves are not hard except the 34 blocker so sjud not thinking can get to the top wave just as with thinking he would most likely also get 34 in his run

I didn't have that much difficulty until WAVE 37.
It was only after struggling in WAVE 37 that I realised I could make an inferno/revenant

Would it be a fair request to ask for a demonstration of the current state of pvp? The ilv team can then show off how far along they really are with the development and put our minds at ease about how long we have to wait. Im really curious to see the progress and get some basic understanding of how the rounds are actually going to play out. Do we place in turns? Do we have vision or are we placing blind? What info do we have about enemy decks and positioning etc?

The team has done multiple showcases before with ILZ and Overworld, so I think it would be in line with the previous demonstrations. According to multiple things i've read in this channel before, the gameloop has been ready for over a year and development was well along with for example Kieran saying that summer of this year would be a probable release date, so I guess it would be a fairly simple request to satisfy some people that are worried.

We are just working on a few bits and pieces before we show it off.

You place blind (though you see your opponents deck at the start). Each round you gain some points to deploy more things. If you don’t use all your points you get interest. You damage your opponent if you win the round (proportional to the power you have still alive on the board). There weee some significant changes to how synergies worked and also some delays getting the pvp connection stable. But we have our best people working on it.

Also you can recall units but you only get a percentage of the cost back. You can move units but there is a cost. I believe that’s the main loop.

how about you dont see your oppnent's deck. Not blind. draft phase. players alternatively put their illuvials on the board. Countering each other till no more points to spend. hit the play/ready button to start the auto battle. round last 3 or 5.

Gotta see the deck to plan... Its the key to mental strategy, those who know get an advantage, the next puzzle is that one hex of positioning can change the outcome

this will be easy to play, the masters will master, and wont be a meta master game where you just know the current strength, people will really develop their own strategies and there is so many, it can't truly be META controlled

the great thing though, is that, ELO will always give you good quality games of people in your range of knowledge...i am guessing they are using ELO, after all its made for chess games, exactly like this

Mechabellum on steam has also an interessting new approach for a 1on1 or 2on2 autobattler. Dont want to say that i don't like your approach just wanted to point at potential comparable games.

Mechabellum is really cool, and I think suits the style of an Illuvium: Zero upgrade in the future. Also, it's very similar to Arena (just without "tiles" and bigger space.
