Coaching is totally worth it for sure i can strongly suggest getting sessions with sjud &/or martini. You have the polemos tag but i still have to say to get better hyperion is a really nice place to play & study with good players 🍞

I am super confused what to play against Nature+Earth tank.

i thought the scorpions did pretty well against malura in PB1. but why focus malura anyways. They have one of the slowest building Hypers so you could just leave it out of the equation. Place a tanky unit there and it won't do a lot.

Affinity counter wise youre looking at this. Personally I tend to just leave something weak in the backline to distract him for a while. He doesnt do a ton of damage so it doesnt take much to keep him busy until your carry can get around to him.

Ive been working on setting up a few sheets to do some data driven analysis on Illuvials once PB2 drops and I'm wondering what stats will be available to view. Can you tell us which of the following will be viewable in PB2 so I can integrate them?

Agility
Grit and Resolve; Are these base 0 always?
Precision; Will this always be base 25 (as it is now) or will it vary in PB2?
Omega Power; Is this always base 100?

can someone help me with information about the autobattler?

1. Is attack speed depicted as attacks per minute? so a speed of 60 = 1 attack per second?
2. Is the attack damage related to omega powers in any way? The sea scorpion line i could understand, but otherwise not right?
3. Granite makes illuvials invulnerable. Does that mean debuffs also don't work against it? might be hard to test as not a single illuvial can stun within 4 seconds...
4. How much damage does poison deal actually? it has increasing numbers every second, and there is nothing telling me if it's 1% exactly per second, or a set amount for each illuvial.
5. How long and how are you assisting with killing illuvials? in case of a takedown, how long should there be between the last hit (is that enough) and the kill? Or do you need X hits to actually assist in a kill? Do you just need to be there to inhibit the enemy Hyper?

I'll regularly add some questions if i can't figure it out myself 😄

I would recommend going to the illuvium.fandom.com/affinities. It actually allows for more advanced know-how into Affinities rather than an overview of the in-game UI. After all, since you don't understand things now shows that the UI in-game was not enough by itself. 🤷‍♂️

yes the chart from Illuvialmaster in that case might be better. But it doesn't explain anything on what the plus and minus actually do, and the UI in-game is really uninformative.

magma says: Fire: 15% max energy as damage.

What does that mean? That all attacks deal 15% max energy as damage when you have a fire illuvial?
It's much more delicate than that, as it buffs the molten ground damage by 15% max energy as damage per second per fire stack on your field. It does not impact the attack damage of the illuvial at all.

hm, well not to get into the conversation but to just answer, not everything needs an indepth explanation at all times, if you understand that hyper exists, and you understand that something is a plus or a minus, you are pretty much good to go. now if you are specifically looking up minute details to actively study the game, thats different

I really played a lot and now i just know which illuvial is good against another. But it was like hard to understand with composites who to place against magma or bloom for example..

yes. but I feel like the PB1 is not so much focussed on countering enemies and their affinities. It is more so based around picking good units and placing them on the right place.

It's like, one of the best counters against Vermilliare in my opinion is Vermi. and that should not be the case. The best counter should not have an ineffective hyper. because that means that class and affinity is basically overlooked and does not play a big enough role in the gameplay.

Now obviously placing Axodon in front of Titanor is very good. But yes, what do you do against Sear? what about Vermi + ranger? It silences/stuns the Sear when it spins. What more would you want? But they are not water/tsunami, that should be good against Magma with +3 or +6.

This is also why i stopped playing the game, because a lot of things are counter intuitive and not supposed to work the way they do. at least, that's what i think.

So. I have been thinking. The interest system is super intriguing, but I wonder if it will actually have an impact in the game? It will not matter in the late rounds, as we have more points than what we can spend, so I only see it mattering on waves in round 10-19, that are especially hard but there aren’t too many of them in PB1. I wonder if it will be a feature that now one really pays attention to after a while, like some affinities/classes right now

In the gameplay i saw there were only like 6 illuvials on the enemy side at wave 18-22 orso. So im sure rhey have lowered the difficulty ramp-up so that people can make extensive use of the interest and the checkpoints.

The low difficulty on wave 20 was probably why Martini asked if nobody had 3 figure waves cleared i suppose 😄

Maybe this was just to show gameplay and it might be different in the actual pb2 for the community though.

I think it was the real thing. Yes it will definitly be way easier, weve had multiple leaks with higher rounds, even 60 something. Now if the 60 something were really the result of someone playing imagine how much a top player will be able to make.

I don't understand your point. It's totally 2 things different that @zenith bough and you discuss about.
He was speaking about interest in the arena. and you are speaking about the fight for capture illuvial.
In arena, the most mastery point you keep in your bag, the most mastery point you win for next round (25 + 10% remaining mastery point)
In Catching, the most mastery point you keep, the most easier catch.

So you are the 2 correct 🤣
For Arena, I don't think it will be that easy that positivity think. If you want to secure the wave or not, you will try to take less risk after some waves. And with an augment on every illuvial (8x) + full Stage 3 Illuvial, can take a lot of round to reach the mastery for.

From playtesting. It matters (at least up to the mid 20s), with augments being added there are now additional avenues for spending mastery points.

right, but even with 5x 40 gold augments, that's still only 200 extra spending. We already have around 200 extra gold by wave 30 most days, so it seems like endgame won't be affected, while middlegame, squeezing out a little extra from interest could help you on some tricky waves
