#🥩〕staking

Because v2 staking should be live by the time the vesting rewards are unlocked you’ll be able to withdraw all unlocked tokens in a single transaction.
Perfect. How about the new rewards that are being generated by the vesting tokens when they are still locked? All claims can also be done with a single transaction on V2 right ?
Yes. Revdis would be out in a single pending pot. And Farming yield would be in a different pot. So I think claiming both at the same time would not be doable. But only one to claim all pending revdis and then another one to claim all pending farming rewards.
Good morning. I've unfortunately been the victim of a hack on my Ethereum wallet in which the thief has cleared out all my ETH and some other tokens. My staked ILV however is untouched as I locked in the staking for a year. I obviously no longer trust the wallet so would rather the staked ILV weren't associated with it. Is there anything I can do along these lines? Or do I just have to try and be faster than the thief to transfer the ILV out once it vests?
Great. I’m trying to wrap my head around all the details of staking and rewards and I’m feeling pretty good about it 🙂 thanks for all the help
Sorry to hear that. Nothing you can do other than to move it to a fresh wallet and maybe one with a ledger linked to it when the locked term is finished.
Okay thank you. Yes, definitely getting myself a hardware wallet after all this.
They’ve announced that staking V2 will have options to move into a new address, TBC. See latest in announcements.
Sorry to hear about your hack, that’s super tough!! Hopefully ILV pays it back and some!!
@warm knoll You can send me screenshoot in DM that i look at your numbers
Sure 🙂
Hey me too mate , one of my ETH wallets
- 1
@restive shard i only started with 5k
i wish i could know this project earlier, but i think its still not too late to know now
No point thinking about i wish, could've, would've. All that matters is that you're now in it. You're still super early anyway. Still got land sale, illuvatar sale, beta release, main release and so much more
🐳
Don't worry we all have that feeling! My thoughts are 6-12 months from now, we will see how early we still were.
It's easy to appear late relative to those who've come before. This is usually the case when you're on the cusp of innovation.
hey guys is there away to change staking time period? i wanted 52 weeks i accidentally set it up for 12 xD
You can try to have your dad read this perhaps @cunning perch has a better take though. This is just for the slp pool. Just staking ILV is alot eaiser
https://www.publish0x.com/ilvfi/the-ultimate-faq-illuvium-slp-liquidity-pool-staking-xrnxvzo
@coral pike when something is locked, no one can touch it, not even God. There’s always a possibility of everything going down which is applied to crypto in general. Nothing will happen to your staked ILV, but the price movement and not being able to touch it. Regarding SLP, impermanent loss will most def happen to it due to price movements and if everything goes down, you will lose your ETH/ILV because ppl can buy it cheaper and since it is locked no one can do anything to it. These are the risks everyone has to take into account.
Hey guys does anyone have details on when staking ends?
that wasnt for me I was answering a quesion can you change you @ to them?
Ah. Well I tagged you both then lol
July 2024 not RevDis though
@cunning perch Yo! My man Arash the legend that answers all my questions... i have another haha
Do you get sILV in exchange for staking ILV, not as a staking reward, more like how when you stake 1 SUSHI on Sushiswap you get 1 xSUSHI, i know the price of sILV and ILV isn't the same but maybe different amount but same value?
and 3 million distributed right?
Yeah but YF ends not staking
staking is for revdis yeah. Also do you have the IIP on you for the team token unlock details
Hey. The only official way to get sILV is through staking ILV and claiming your rewards as sILV 🙂
oh wow

Go on youtube and show him some trust worthy looking youtubers talking about ILV and why its going to be the biggest game in 2022
will probably make him feel more comfortable lmao
@cunning perch do know what "there will be a bonus " means after the 2 weeks of no yield during the switch ?
Nope. It can be more rewards, can be a thank you, can be a kiss 😚 😄
well i just wanted to be the first to ask you know your going to get a lot of peole panicking that don't know about the shut of during that time right?
This is literally my everyday routine aside from the DMs I get from ppl getting scammed. So, all good. I'm used to it 😄
@gentle axle if he's got any interest in gaming or can appreciate the quality, this does a lot. I remember researching Illuvium and checking out videos. My other half saw a clip and just said "are we invested in this?", I said "not yet, still checking it out". The response was "you need to get into this, especially if it's early. This has huge potential" and this is from a non gamer who sees me game and is quite picky about high quality TV/movies and could see it was off that caliber.
Sigh. The wife is still skeptical despite all the gains lol. Still holding me back from putting more but I guess that's for the best. 🤣
😂 as soon as he saw the first full token as a reward he was just like "we have a full token as rewards ALREADY? And that's worth how much?" Lol
If only it was that easy. Was showing multiple full tokens as a reward but still no dice hahaha. ILV all the way!
Haha next year she'll see!
Glad to not have this issue, I got 100% freedom to use the finances how i want
Wow cool.
This man casually bagging about being single 😉
anyone have the resource for how much of the seed tokens actually unlocks in March etc?
hahaha, meant that S/O trusts in what im doing
My wife allows me to do whatever I want with my investment also as long as I acknowledge that any gain I make belong to her..
I've heard on youtube video, that there will be changes to revdis. Can anyone help me find the info about this?
There is no change to RevDis. 5% of the fuel sell goes to the land owners and 100% of the rest will go to the stakers (Flexible excluded. Maybe this part is new)
Does the 12 month vesting period only starts after you claimed your rewards? So when I don’t claim them during 1 year (due to high gas fees, calculator says that not claiming them would bring the most dollars) so when I only claim the rewards after 1 year I have to wait another year to withdraw my rewards?
That is correct, also you are not earning any rewards on them if you havent claimed them. Best to do some number analysis on your staking and figure out how often is best to claim them.
When I use the excel from Derash it says the best is to not claim them for a year (most dollars, fees and compounding effect included I guess). But side effect is then that I have to wait another year for the rewards
Not sure on the spreadsheet, I guess it really depends on how much you have invested. Every claim will cost you around $100 in fees, so if you have staked small amounts then not worth it.
The moment you claim, it starts vesting. You don't claim, it will just sit there doing nothing
follow this #🥩〕staking message
Only claim when gas is 1% of total and gas is always around 100 dollars then it’s only worth claiming when you have 10 000 dollars in rewards 😄 lol. Have an idea how much the land is going to cost? Then maybe I can better claim sILV instead of ILV
well....that was just a suggestion. you can raise the % like claim when gas = 5% of your pending rewards in $ 🙂
Thanks @cunning perch and @coral pike regarding my dad. Will sit down with him
I know, I have to make the decision myself. 😄 I guess it also depends on my price prediction for Ilv in the future, if you choose for as much dollars as possible (minus gas) as much ILV as possible which can become even more due to price appreciation
no worries. Try opening the subject with all upsides and downsides and let him choose. Never try to over-convince anyone cuz it may backfire
well that's why everyone needs to have a plan that best works for them 🙂
Indeed, great advice. He's pretty chill though so it should be fine ahaha
good luck. If we didn't hear from you then we would consider you are RIP 😄
Exactly! Thanks for the help! One last question: how is the RevDis going to be distributed? In your staking profile as rewards or?
It should be added to a separate tab. Since it's not here, we don't know. It will be added with V2
So my LP stake expires tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can simply extend by lock period? Or do I need to unstake and set up a new stake if I wish to continue staking my LP?
- watch out for DMs. They are scams.
- you can withdraw and then re-stake to get more weight if you want. But when V2 is out you have to upgrade (pay gas)
- you can let it be there, withdraw before V2, and then stake on V2 directly and lock for more weight (longer)
If you want to increase your weight you would have to withdraw and re-stake. If you are satisfied with current weight, you keep it until you remove that stake.
Hi! Do know if revdis will need to be claimed? Will that claim also need gas fees?
Thank you! I didn't even know about v2. when does that staking start?
yes it has to be claimed, but it's free and goes to your wallet.
2-3 weeks. might take longer
oh awesome!! So I can keep earning at my current weight even after expiration if I keep staked?
@next ruin I leave it in your capable hands 🙂 heading home now
Free claims, music in my ears, thanks!
you pay gas for it ofc 🙂
so for V2, we will need to move over all our existing stakes? For example, I have a straight ILV Stake going as well. In 2-3 weeks, Ill need to migrate that over I assume?
Yes, you keep the current weight until you withdraw. When V2 comes out there will be a need to migrate to the new contract, but there will be guides for how to do that when V2 goes live.
just add a little thing to your explanation before I go:
- locked tokens will need to upgrade (forced)
- unlocked tokens will have the option to migrate, but don't have to if they have been upgraded before.
- new stakes can directly happen on V2 😛
I still don't have my mind fully around the V2 scenarios and I've read the IIP and all of Aaron's comments in the discussion thread. Gonna need a vetemor video or something on that one. 😉
Ah no worries. In a simple version it's like this: locked tokens are set on V1. So, since V1 is gonna be rendered obsolete, when you upgrade, you are allowing V2 to read your V1-staked tokens in a way as if they are locked on V2 🙂 is it clear? Donno if I said it clearly haha (now migration is literally moving them on V2 and requires a reward claim too. For this, they need to be unlocked)
this might be a question that correlates with your situation, but around what point are you claiming your ILV rewards? right now i make ~1 ILV every week and I've been claiming it - is this a smart move?
Do this #🥩〕staking message
appreciate it!
So what’s the real affect for us who are staked on v1 ? Nothing much ?
Whats the % rewards for staking ILV now?
Say if you had 5.
This is if you lock for 12 months, scaling down to half of that if you stake flexible.
i think so, and guess.. more gas LOL
Hey how i add sILV token to metamask ? Also when i click to redeem sILV nothing happens anyone can help?
So you need to go to the add token place and add sILV with the code thing : ILV Token: 0x767fe9edc9e0df98e07454847909b5e959d7ca0e
ETH/ILV SLP Token: 0x6a091a3406e0073c3cd6340122143009adac0eda
sILV Token: 0x398aea1c9ceb7de800284bb399a15e0efe5a9ec2
also check pinned messages in tokens to make sure I gave you the right codes. 😉
Okay thanks any idea why after i click to get rewards nothing happens?
hmmmmmm, in illuvium website? Do you have your crytpo account connected?
metamask wallet ye
You need to have ilv staked to get rewards, but you should still be able to see the page I think.
yeah i have staked and it says how much rewards i have so far
Oh wait you are talking about pulling the rewards out?
yeah but the silv ones not the ilv
just wanna check how the process is with metamask and the fees
oooh hmmm I can tell you fees will be very high, but I haven't ever pulled out my rewards yet so I dont actually know srry.
yeah you have to take them like in the end one time but just wanted to see if its possible
I did watch a vid about it once on YouTube a while ago, so try checking there.
aight thanks
Ya sorry I could help more
Hey all, I am trying to stake but having a difficult time. Is there a minimum needed for staking?
I dont think so, But you will probably want a decent amount of money cause gas is gonna eat you out.
I have some set aside for the insane gas prices but for some reason my staking amount isnt populating
hmmmmm I honestly have no idea man, so you have already connected your wallet to illuvium, and you have ILV, and you go to staking and it wont stake or you dont see you ILV or what?
if i staked for 6 months and my coins unlock, but i keep them in, are they earning the weighted reward rate or just flexible now?
hmmmm id assume flex, but i dont know that
oh wait! I reloaded the page and the wallet connect approval final came up
Oh nice that's great!
Yeah! Thanks man!
Hey claim buttons are greyed out anyone can help i cant claim rewards
They are at the same weight as long as you don’t withdraw them. So, you will continue to earn at 1.5x or whatever even after they unlock until you withdraw those funds.
Heey guys, can you stake and hold $ILV with Trezor or Ledger? Want to get one soon
oh wow that’s great
@exotic quarry this is what i see
this is 100% sure?
100% positive
Ooo nice, so Trezor should be supported by them
yes! 🙂
Okii thanks!
You can also use Ledger via Metamask, that’s what I do. Not saying better than Trezor but just so you are aware they both are options.
Aah okay yeah, heard Ledger supports more coins in general? Like really small altcoins.
Still thinking about Trezor cause people say it has nice software and really secure
Yeah, just comes down to personal preference. They are both great.
amazing
Yeah true. Checking now on how a hardware wallet exactly works. But essentially you just connect your HW with Metamask on your PC and then you can acces your coins and the ones you have staked..?
And the coins are stored in the HW which makes it more secure?
Yeah, you can do things like send, receive, and swap directly from Ledger Live but for other things like staking Illuvium, you’ll just connect through Metamask’s Ledger integration where Metamask just serves as a pass through UI essentially.
Coins aren't stored in a HW wallet - everything is on the blockchain. The HW wallet is more like a physical key that you use to confirm that you are the wallet owner for transactions.
Oooo, okay I got it. Makes sense yeah
anyone know what the gas fees will be like on v2?
Not without further details from the team
I've staked for 52 weeks. So i'm locked. Is there anything active I need to be doing for v2?
have a few tokens unlocking in a few days was just curious of the exact date, when it says 3 days, does it mean ❤️ days or 3 days to 3 days 23 hrs?
hi there! can someone explain me how liquidity pool is working? 🙂
Providing liquidity for ILV is done via an ILV/ETH Pool on SushiSwap and requires a few different steps compared to staking only ILV. These steps are the following:
- You acquire a 50/50 ratio of both ILV and ETH (in $)
- You go to: https://app.sushi.com/add/ETH/0x767FE9EDC9E0dF98E07454847909b5E959D7ca0E
- After approving the contract (if this is your first interaction with it), you stake your 50/50 ratio of ETH and ILV in the pool
- You receive SLP tokens (To see them, add the SLP contract address to your wallet: 0x6a091a3406e0073c3cd6340122143009adac0eda)
- You go to: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core
- You can now stake your SLP Tokens in the Sushi LP pool just like ILV is staked in the ILV pool.
If you never provided LP before though, make sure to understand IL: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/impermanent-loss-explained
Do we need to stake our tokens to claim rev dis when they do come?
anyone able to explain the difference between shushi staking and normal staking please?
If you are referring to SLP Staking and ILV staking then here is a explanation. SLP is apart of the sushi liquidity pool where you combine etherium and ILV into an SLP. One downside of SLP is the imperminant loss that comes with it means if your etherium and ilv that you put in no longer match (the prices change) you will lose some of that token. However this is extremely small compared to the ilv you will be getting from its apy. And staking ilv is exactly what it sounds like. SLP holder get much more of the rewards rewards than ILV stakers do
would u recommend staking slp or ilv? for me its hard to decide
Depends on how much you're planning to stake
maybe lik 2-3k
I would suggest SLP then for it has a lot higher APY. The only downside is the gas prices are like 20$ more but it is well worth it if you are putting in more than 1k
It's a lot more gas than that
Not from what I have seen. But anyway regardless the SLP is much better
With gas at 107 and the price of ETH at 4,588 it's about 400 USD to stake SLP
alright thx! ill think about it.
Anytime!
isnt illivium flexing with immutable x for low gas fees? 😄 i dont understand this. how is it? can someone explain me maybe 😄
It will, but stake v2 still isn't in place from what I know
so stake v2 will be the low gas fee transactions stuff?
That's correct
ooh cool. so maybe its better to wait till then.. mhhh. is there any information about staking v2. do we know when its coming?
nice thx sir!
No prob, I'm also gonna wait for it
how old is this answer?
It's from today
alright fine
i see thanks for the help bro
Yessir
If I have some SLP in my wallet that I want to stake, is it better for me to wait for V2 or should I stake now? What would be the difference between staking now or waiting
780 gwei lol wtf happened
ooo time to redeem
mine is showing 875 gwei lol
LOL
Dammit I've got 1.0 ILV I've been wanting to stake for a month and the gas is always $150+ when i check.
its crazy how $100-150 to claim can be considered cheap now
Wait for v2 staking otherwise you'll have to migrate
👍🏻
someone knows how much fees to pay from buying ilv on binance till it is staked in slp pool?
It depends on gwei, but something between $250 and $500. Check transaction fees calculator on pins.
this is crazy
Yep, but it should change with stake v2. Just wait a couple weeks.
Yeah, just take a look at this recent message from Aaron and see how it applies to you. Then make your decision 🙂 https://discordapp.com/channels/760344898200666112/914729745785171999/914871103384588338
But if v2 is about 3 weeks away, that's 3 weeks of rewards. For my SLP that would be about 3 ILV in rewards
It wasn't for you, it was for SirCork who has 1 ILV total
Oh my bad, thank you
Hi can you please help and tell me how staking works here
!staking Hey there! Some info below 🙂
When holding ILV, staking is a way to gain additional rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution. The process for staking is the following:
- You acquire either some ILV or some Sushi LP tokens
- You go to: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core
- You enter the right pool according to the tokens you acquired
- You decide whether to lock your deposit or not (if locked, you will receive more rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution, but you cannot withdraw your deposit until the chosen locking period is over)
- After approving the contract (if this is your first interaction with it) you confirm the staking of the desired tokens
You can find an in-depth video for staking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6YugU4zZr4&t=1s
Thank you 🙏 what is the apy ?
You'll be able to view the current APY of each pool on the staking site here: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core
Here's a screenshot of where the APY lies right now! 😄
Illuvium | Staking
Yes, to offset risk of Impermanent Loss and that you will only earn RevDis on the ILV half of your initial investment
Sorry what is Revdis
The tokenomics of this DAO include a 100% revenue distribution (could be subject to change - DAO governance). This means that any kind of revenue generated through sales or in-game revenue is distributed back to holders of staked ILV. The same max supply of 10 Million ILV will be used for this purpose regardless of how many games the DAO develops.
Revenue distribution is paid out in the form of unlocked ILV and the payout is done multiple times a week without a fixed schedule. Before paying out revenue distribution, the vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by buying it off the market which puts buying pressure on the ILV token and thus supports its price development.
Waw I love it 😍
Last question please! Why the apy is very high if using sushi instead ILV.
Like if I wanna stake now I have to buy sushi instead ILV
What has sushi to do with ILV project
As stated to offset the risk of Impermanent Loss and only getting RevDis on the ILV half of your investment. It's also more complicated to set up and requires paying a lot of gas. The youtube vid in the Moz4rt bot post goes over the process.
Sushiswap is where the LP is, but the LP is ILV & ETH. No sushi tokens
Yep, not staking sushi token. Providing 50/50 ILV/Eth liquidity on SushiSwap and staking the SLP tokens to represent your share of the pool. Recommend researching liquidity pools before diving into that.
I will definitely I really appreciate it guys
Fast response and very professional
👏
Just curious, but now that sILV price has gone way up, wouldn't selling sILV and then buying ILV and restaking it now be quite profitable?
Just want to confirm guys. If you are staked and locked, you cannot migrate to v2 right? And even if you claim your rewards (ILV) they will best for a year again in v1. Did I get it right?
I think some people had a sILV strategy like this while sILV was VERY cheap.
Yep, and it becomes more feasible for smaller bags as the ILV/sILV gap closes.
Getting about 0.1 ILV in reward daily from SLP. That is about $165 US dollars, per day. I will claim some of it soon to be available to me in 1 year, but right now it's only just a number. But getting that much per day, for "FREE" is literally beyond me. I know the ecosystem well enough now, I KNOW it's not a scam - but my abstract brain does not want to agree with my logical thinking. Nothing was ever free to me in my life, and now this is making more per week than my 9-5 after a 3-year degree. I have read just about every document on here and the website, blogs, and videos. I know how it works, but I will never be able to comprehend it. To me, this is all just a fantasy until some of that money is in my bank account in 1 year. Despite all my reading about the ecosystem, if anyone has a simple sentence to convince the other part of my brain that this is indeed real and I will have a deposit for a house in a couple of years thanks to Illuvium, please OH PLEASE do tell me, I am spastic!
This GIF absolutely does not help in convincing the other part of my brain, but boy that's how it feels ahaha
about how much are you staking to get that reward?
around 11,000 USD in slp
About 1.9 SLP
thats amazing
I know right, where else in the world would your 10k in the bank give you $165 a day? Geee
@clear cape where is your tag points up
what
It was a hint i added somthing to my name lol
Ohh hahahha. Polemos cult 👀
So, I guess no one can convince my brain lol
You're going to be alright mate, just give it a few weeks to settle in and it'll feel like normal. It's all legit 😉
It's good for at least part of you to stay skeptical and treat it all as paper gains. Keeps you hungry and wary. 😉
stake or not though, if u hold ILV, it's already a win long term. but i do stake myself as well
Well, maybe once you are playing Illuvium Zero and Illuvium your brain will settle. It is hard to imagine ILV going backward once the games are out barring a crazy market wide crash. I even heard about a guild that has formed to be the premier hub for on chain gaming and p2e for games like Illuvium...
Are you guys all polemos scholar?
the scholarships haven't processed yet. there are 250 applicants who have successful in the application as part of the guild members. and now Polemos will be accepting only 50 more.
Are you in polemos server? If yes let's chat there in general
yes I am
That's not all the openings. Only adding 50 to the Front Line positions to make it 300 total. Hoplite position is still available as an accepted guild member as well. I'm not aware of any Hoplite limitations. We have room for all in the guild. 🙂
Very nice!
Does anyone have information on how staking works? I have a tiny bit of crypto freed up to invest and I haven’t researched this stuff since the bull market of 2017
Is there somewhere I can get caught up on this easily?
Where are you doing this?

Anything by Deraji is great, yeah.
Yes, that is good info! Get yourself a ledger, or not if you're feeling risk - just a metamask wallet. Send ILV and ETH on it. (say, $2000 of ILV and $2500 ETH) (extra ETH for gas fees). Go to sushi.com and select liquidity in the app. You'll get SLP tokens which you can then stake on the illuvium website in the core SLP pool. But yeah that video is good have a go at watching it
Thanks I’m checking it out
Careful with any DMs, don’t trust anything outside the server
Ok
This is the truth 😀
quick question. If i claim sILV the in-game curr does that trade on the secondary market? and if so whats the %
there is a pool in uniswap for sILV. currently around $600+ I think.
gotcha
Question: on the website it's stated that ILV rewards are subject to a 12 month vesting period and that while they are vesting they compound your rewards...where is the compound of those rewards shown at? Is there anywhere we can see the compounded rewards from vesting ILV tokens?
Claimed ILV rewards are simply counting as staked tokens with 2.0 weight and as such increase the rewards that are piling up for you in the ILV core pool 🙂
Oh sweet...totally understand now. Thanks for the response...didn't realize the rewards were added to my total amount staked while they are vesting!
Can you stake if your illuvium is on a ledger and you access it via metamask?
Yeah.
@median canyon hey can you check your dm when you are available there is a delicate matter with v2 i want to ask about its a bit of emergency thanks
how do you remove your stake?? i cant find an unstake button anywhere
@narrow ginkgo bro dont answer any dm tou get from “mods” they are scammers
yer all good cheers
I saw him type here by mistake xD
hahah yer i seen that
is there not a way to unstake? i dont want to do it i just want to be aware of how to do it
Impossible to unstake unless you’re flexible
yer i chose flexible months ago
just came back to check on my rewards and thought that i better suss out how to unstake but there doesnt seem to be a button any where
Check vesting tab
yer that just has all of my rewards from flash pools and previously claimed from core pool. my initial stake isnt there
If it’s not in vesting tab… I don’t know where it would be.
it still shows on the dashboard as staked, i click on go to pool underneath but it doesnt have any way to remove
Can you send a screenshot of your vesting tab
hold on i might of put it in through another wallet
lol dont worry im a spastic. it was in my other wallet
thanks for the help though
If you're already accumulating SLP from axie, can you stake with those? Or is this separate?
SLP = Sushi Liquidity Pool, not SLP from axie. 🙂
Perfect thanks
I staked my 1.4 ILV and it’s on MetaMask and I had staked it for a year but it’s gone, says no access So please let me know how that works??? As it’s missing. I had dollar cost average to buy it. So if it’s staked for a year how can anyone take it? Thanks
if it is in your MetaMask after you stake it and then it is not stake. did you stake on the main illuvium website?
Sorry for stupid question but, if i have no gas to upgrade or migrate when V2 has come, what happens with my SLP and rewards on V1? I will lost?
After two weeks they’ll stop earning yield but they’ll stay there
See here for full details
Well, a little update: our claiming sILV and restaking ILV in SLP had worked out quite nicely. Appreciate the help everyone
Tnks bro
hello, i would like stake 0.149 ilv, they are on binance, i need to transfert on metamask wallet with etherium reseau ?
not worth to stake......gas fee can consume more than that.....
Thanks you for your answear it's what i expect.
I don't undestand why they use this réseau !!
most of the ingame things will be on layer 2, so with zero gas fees, through the Immutable X. Just to deposit will be expensive aswell as staking is expensive, but that will hopefully be better with eth2.0 and staking v2
in 6 months / 1 year
Just put them into Binance Launchpool starting from tomorrow
Does anyone know if it is possible to claim only the SLP rewards?
I've already wasted so much gas because the flexible pool rewards are always claimed along with the SLP rewards
With V2, yes
Ok thanks for the redirecting.
So for people with locked staking, would upgrade first correct?
What I meant is those ILV from rewards. Do we need to upgrade them manually or it auto record and port over to V2?
Yes. you pay gas and you upgrade. As I mentioned, rewards have not been vested yet, and they will most probably be moved to V2 automatically cuz they are not actually staked.
Ok thanks. And discord will be the official mode of announcement of this change right?
I read that we have 2 weeks to do so.
But what if we failed to do so? What will happen if everything remained in v1?
if i have no gas to upgrade, what happens with my rewards and SLP token?
DS will be the official hub for announcements yes. As is said in the doc, there will be a 2-week halt to YF for every locked position to upgrade or every new stake to be added to V2. If you fail to do so, you can always upgrade, but you won't get the bonus for the 2-week halt. AND if you fail to upgrade all together, then you will not get ANY rewards or RevDis until you upgrade.
just answered above 👆
Ok thanks.

Hi guys! Will it be possible with staking v2 to change the address associated with the illuvium locked liquidity? Because my associated address right now is compromised by a hacker. I can't lose the tokens when they unlock!
The upgrade will cost what type of eth transaction? Like a transfer from address or like adding to another stake?
for everything unlock yes it will be possible
for everything locked, nop you ll have to wait the unlock
hi where we can stake our ILV ?
on the official website, at the top "stacking"
ok
better check this first bfore staking #914729745785171999
Is it worth staking just one ILV regarding ETH gas fees?
Also is it possible to stake with ledger? If not, what would you suggest is the best wallet to stake from?
Yep. I think people just use ledger through MetaMask and stake that way
Nope 🙂 just my opinion. At least $3,000 to be worth it with gas fee. NFA
Most of us use metamask.
wait until v2 staking.
Thanks guys , when is v2 staking coming ?
Hopefully before the end of the year; it is currently being audited
Great! I’ll be looking in to it! 😃
It's not possible to freeze the tokens? I understand I may be impersonating other person, but is it impossible to prove that I am the original owner of the address and not the hacker who hacked me (the original owner)? I cannot lose those tokens.
Unfortunately not as far as I am aware; once they have access to your wallet, there’s not much you can do. Once your tokens unlock you will have to be ready to transfer them to a new wallet ASAP
I need someone from the team/mod to answer this question. This is very important to me.
Ok. Maybe the wonderful @cunning perch could give you an answer
lemme have launch I'll get back to ya 😄
there is no freezing of tokens
How do you get your metamask hacked
chrome update phish, then trojan.
That's the whole point of decentralisation. One person can't freeze or lock your funds.
🤡
You take back control but you assume 100% of the risk too. There's no customer service line.
if you've had your wallet compromised the only thing you can try to do is transfer everything off your wallet before the scammer can
most of them use bots to auto-drain your ETH though so it is incredibly unlikely you will succeed unless you use some gigabrain strategy like this:
https://medium.com/mycrypto/operation-cryptokitty-rescue-93fd8e00e4f8
I have moved ETH there after the incident. It was not drained.
you'll have to wait until eligible for wallet transfer in v2 then
and be very ready to be faster than the scammer on that transfer
that risk is so high.
You don't really have much choice...
That was a really cool read. Can you maybe pin this for future reference for people?
So I need an automated bot with super high fee price for high speed of transaction?
Read it more lol
the wallet is empty by now. What is missing is the locked ilv and slp tokens.
I would test just before unlock and put ETH in. If it's not auto drained, then it would appear no bot is waiting to drain your wallet. Then just move immediately after unlock. And get a hardware wallet.
there are a lot of stolen tokens in there. it's weird to see my stolen tokens there.

Hey guys, I wanted to start staking soon. Just making sure I got everything figured out before I start. Maybe someone can help me out with these questions: 1) is there compound staking for the locked period? I guess not because the rewards are only claimable after the locked period ends. Or is there Auto-compounding?
2)If I want to invest in the liquidity pool, do I buy ILV to stake or sushi? Does it matter which one?
3) is it possible to stake parts of a token? Like 1,5 ILV or does it need to be whole tokens.
4) I saw in the FAQ ilv got listed on Binance. Can I buy from there or would you recommend getting ilv from a dex?
Hey, first watch out for scam DMs. No one legit will DM youy
Second, I suggest reading all the docs below. They will help you with all your questions

!staking
As far as staking rewards go, do you need to claim rewards before the 12 month vesting period begins ? Or do you just let the reward build for a year amd then claim? Claiming requires gas and you earn rewards daily so that would get costly?
Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:
- When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
- You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
- If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
- If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
- New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat
NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.
- Yes, depending on how long you lock for, your tokens can be compounded up to 2x. 2. To invest you need either ILV tokens or SLP tokens (sushi liquidity pool tokens, not the same as sushi tokens). 3. yes 4. To save on gas fees, yes it can be worthwhile to buy ILV from a CEX like binance
until V2 is out, you can do this #🥩〕staking message
I just claimed my SLP rewards 4 days after i claimed my ILV rewards (the SLP transaction failed and i just retried that one). The amount of SLP i claimed was similar to the amount it should have claimed, but i have not kept track of the ILV pool value. Right now both pools have 0 rewards which is odd because i only claimed the SLP rewards this time.
The ILV pool should have 4 days of rewards in the pool, so i am doubting whether it threw away these rewards, or that they got added up on my earlier claim. The earlier claim by the way still shows 361 days instead of resetting to 365 so i doubt the latter was the case.
Anyone else had a similar experience and/or can tell me what actually happened here? 😄
If I say I am not confused I would be lying lol. So you clicked "claim ILV" in SLP and paid two gas and nothing happened?
@cunning perch thank you I got it now.. it all makes sense I will do weekly claims that seems cost effective
sure. V2 will change a lot of things so I suggest you read it in #809220563397902346 too
i clicked claim ILV from the SLP pool 4 days ago. I did two transactions, ILV went through, SLP failed.
Today i tried claiming the SLP again, as it stated: you could try the transaction again.
So i solely claimed the SLP pool today (4 days later than the ILV pool)
After the transaction succeeded now both my pools with rewards are empty, and the SLP has successfully been claimed. The ILV rewards over the last 4 days vanished OR they got added up to my earlier claim 4 days ago.
your ILV pool must have been so small I guess. Nothing vanishes tbh
well since i can't see the extra vesting small amount, i either think it got added up to my ILV rewards from 4 days ago, or it got added to the SLP rewards, or they vanished.
But if one of the first 2 were the case, then why do we even claim the ILV core pool? If it can get added to an earlier claim then the first transaction makes no sense. 🙂 from that perspective vanishing would be a more obvious but sad outcome.
Surely you can check the transaction on etherscan? Any details there that help?
yeah check with ETHscan. if you found no help. I'll ask Carlos to help you with details
right i didn't think it would actually explain anything! But what happened was that all the ILV rewards (from those 4 days) have been transferred to my wallet in the form of sILV! that's crazy. thanks for pointing me there xD
Oh that's weird lol but hey some more sILV for land!
exactly
Not weird. If rewards are so small, the contract might hit some smaller blocks and will claim them automatically as sILV 🙂
Unexpected outcome then lol. Just definitely wouldn't have been what I would have assumed
No worries. It has always been like that 🙂
Good to know for future reference
Can you give your input on the issue I raised? :x
hey you mean freezing the tokens? it's not possible as they are in a locked contract. One guy who got scammed is trying to add his own bot to his wallet (through his dev friend), but no one knows if that would work. Other than that, I don't think there is anything anyone can do tbh
who is the guy that was scammed too?
or if you can ask him if he wants his nickname to be revealed?
thanks.
I don't think he wants to be revealed and I cannot say he will be successful, but as there is nothing to lose, ppl will do lots of stuff to try out their lock. He will let me know if it works.
is there a date?
idk tbh. I just know it superficially
can you explain what happened in there? was it a spam of transactions?

The gas fees to claim are outrageous
Do we know if the gas fees change at all in V2 staking?
They should, yes.
Do you have a link to the rest of that?
Staking V2 IIP
Thanks!
I would wait until the gas prices are lower to make any moves.
I made 2 separate Sushi Tokens yesterday, then added one to locked and one to flexible. Then a few hours late changed my mind and moved my flexible to locked... So. Many. Fees. Especially since I had to keep claiming. I feel violated.
Looking forward to v2.
If you want to set up varied positions it is pretty brutal
Nothing like buying the top as well. Seeing the rewards roll in is my only consolation as of now.
SLP staking rewards make it all better 😅
It's why I switched from my half and half strategy to all in within 3 hours of the initial lock up. Watching the rewards come in is kind of unreal and quite the eye opener. I wish I would've done the liquidity pool sooner, but it was a little scary.
Is it better to wait for v2 until I start staking? Or does it not matter?
Personal choice. Depends on how much you’re staking. V2 does seem somewhat nearby but who knows what happens to price in the meantime
I was thinking between 500-1000 and is it really worth it to lock up the token? Which token do you feel is better to claim the silv or ilv?
I was thinking just ilv
I'd wait for V2, so you don't have to eventually deal with migration etc. NFA ofc, but at this point I'd wait.
if you wanna start staking, maybe wait for V2. Cuz if you stake now, again you will have to pay a gas to upgrade to V2 when it's out since you are planning to stake a small amount.
@cyan rampart @cunning perch that was what I was thinking to and good point on the gas fee. I agree with both of you i will wait until v2 to stake. That also means more money to save to invest
I'm trying to collect ILV via binance, so BEP20. While waiting for the staking v2. Anyone knows the bep20 contract address for it? So I can keep it on my wallet for the mean time? Thanks
ILV is an ERC-20 token and on ETH mainnet. Not on BC and def not BSC
In binance, ILV can be sent via BEP20. Just curious if it can be sent to my trustwallet.
Try this: 0x4d5AC5cc4f8aBdf2EC2Cb986C00C382369f787D4
Binance wanted to provide their on BEP-20 liquidity which has been rejected by ILV team and should your tokens be lost, we just told you that ILV is only on ETH mainnet
Got it. No worries, just checking if possible.

guys do we know how much cheaper staking will be after v2 comes out? right now I know if you have ILV already you pay gas fees twice to stake and then everytime you try and claim rewards as well, but what's that going to look like with V2?
Check the v2 document in #Staking V2 Discussion thread under #809220563397902346. Exact numbers aren’t described but it does talk about what transactions will or won’t be needed.
Hi guys. So my ILV is locked for a year if v2 staking comes out do I need to pay gas fee to transfer there?
To upgrade locked ILV, you pay gas, but won't be required to claim rewards. To migrate your unlocked stake, you pay gas and will be required to claim rewards, but migration is not a force if you have upgraded before but can do it if you want better gas
So I only need to upgrade and not migrate?
Upgrade is a must, migrate is not if you have upgraded them before though doing it gives you better gas options as it is believed
I mean if I am locked for 1 year I only need to upgrade. Migrate is for unlocked/flexible stakers. Am I right?
Migrate only can be done if you have upgraded before. If you never upgrade, you cannot migrate. Also new stakers can stake directly on V2 and will not be forced to migrate/upgrade. (yes all in all Migration happens to unlocked tokens)
Thanks for answering!
I have been able to send ILV from binance to metamask through BSC, but you cannot associate a BSC wallet to illuvium, so it is not useful for stake
My thought process was just for storing ILV cheaply that is not on an exchange. For accumulation while waiting for staking v2. Then move everything all at once to eth mainnet when the time comes.
how often do everyone claim their ILV to compound their staking?
When the gas is a very small % of the claimed amount. Definitely not more than 10%. That will obviously vary a lot from person to person.
Gotcha Thank you! i only have 1.09 staking for 100 days so far, and I've seen about .04 ILV in return which is pretty cool
I'd recommend at the very least waiting until staking V2 comes out (probably within the month) because it will reduce the gas required to claim. Probably best to let your stack grow for a good amount of time.
Thank you for the helpful advice! Highly considering buying more to continue staking as well.
This and maybe just hold the tokens rn so u get gains anyway
how does migrating to V2 works? will there be a button that I press to migrate to V2 or will my tokens unlock and I have to restake at V2?
You won’t need to withdraw them to migrate them. More info on what it looks like exactly will come later.
I was only able to purchase my ILV on crypto.com since KuCoin didn’t allow me where I live. I’m trying to transfer my IlV out of crypto.com but don’t meet the minimum transfer requirement at the moment. Does anyone know a way around this? I’m sure there isn’t figured I’d ask just in case. Thanks to anyone
If you don’t have enough to withdraw you certainly won’t want to pay for the gas fees to stake on ethereum mainnet

Damn I completely forgot about the gas fees 🤦🏻♂️
That's the stuff to watch. Be patient and wait for the gas to go down. Honestly 60 is pretty low for what I have seen in the past month.
Yeah we are literally 50/50 right now on market going up or down so I’ll wait and just keep stacking on Crypto.com
Plus you'll pay a 0.04 ILV fee to transfer out of Crypto.com (or it was last time I transferred to my MM), so you want to make sure it's worth it. Perhaps keep accumulating it and wait until V2 releases to start moving it around?
So for example I have a list of 6-7 vesting rewards in my Vesting tab, some of which are something like 0.000046 ILV vesting. Each one of these has a different vesting locked period, ranging from 260 days to 360 ish. As I understand, these will be merged into one single element, correct? And if so, will you be merging the remaining vesting periods as well, or take the longest one? How would that work
That is, will the merged element be locked for 360 days, or an average of the periods?
Either they will not be merged and retain their original vesting periods or be merged and locked for 1 year right?
I could be wrong anyone feel free to correct me, but once v2 goes live you will have to migrate the v1 to v2 and pay a gas fee. As far as the existing locked tokens it may stay until period ends or automatically ended and you will have to migrate the balance. I'm sure there will be further instructions down the line.
When I claim ILV do you start earn 2 weight because it locks for the 1 year?
Yep
Completely new to all of this, and staking for the first time so pardon my ignorance, after some trial and error finally staked a small amount.
0.14 SLP```
What to expect going forward in terms of rewards? After reading previous comments I should have waited for v2 it seems...
I added $100 worth of ethereum for liquidity in sushi swap the transaction was confirmed but now I have no ethereum or proof of a liquidity position. Can anyone help?
You added $100 of Eth and $100 of ILV? To add liquidity you need to provide both tokens.
Same happened to me, it came back to my wallet after some time, and take into account the gas prices. Makes staking anything pricy. It was about $125 USD just to stake in SLP.
I just added the ethereum
It didn't ask for the ILV in order to have the transaction go through
Then it probably didn't complete, you need both tokens.
So it just took the money and nothing happened then? 🤦
Probably not, if it did then there would have been an etherscan block
Anyways... I'm still figuring things out. I'll let someone who knows chime in.
Is it better to wait till V2 release to claim rewards now? or will we have up claim rewards anyway prior to migrating and upgrading?
So for people staked on v1 like I am, we basically have to pay gas for no reason ?
If you don't mind sharing the transaction hash, we can try to take a look
Gas under 60. Well I'll be
Were you using zapper? There's no way to stake ILV or ILV/ETH with an ETH only transaction on Sushiswap. There's some tools that let you do that kind of thing (i.e. they hide some transactions but appear to just use ETH), but I'm not sure what might have happened if you were on Sushi.
Whoops, meant to tag @late pagoda sry meat 🙂

My mouse finger gets fat after 8 PM
So just curious, i recently staked 3 ILV that I've been holding for a few weeks now but just curious about the apy in the locked basic pool. It says 40% but is that referring to the original dollar value of your investment or the value of your token investment? Also people are saying that the apy goes down about 3 percent per fortnight. Does that mean that within about 15 weeks apy will be zero? Sorry for the slightly silly questions.
The APY doesn't go down 3%, the number of tokens being distributed to the whole pool goes down 3%. And then how many you get is split between the whole pool so that's why the APY dynamically changes. It is also tied to price so it's not the best tool to measure really. I prefer the pinned calculator to calculate my approx token yield vs APY.
Okay, that helps, thank you! I'll take a look at that calculator
wait, the 40% or 400% SLP is calculated based off of USD? What are the percentages in ILV?
Looking for calculator now
The 40% doesn't matter - your entire stake is in ILV, and your rewards are in ILV. 40% on your ILV or 40% on your USD value is the same.
The APY for the SLP is more complicated, because you're staking a token comprised of 2 assets - ETH and ILV, and your rewards are ONLY in ILV. The APY in the SLP is based off the value of your investment, i.e. (# of SLP tokens) * (SLP token price) * (APY) = Rewards
The APY in the SLP also varies with the price of ILV, because only HALF of your stake is ILV, but ALL your rewards are ILV. As such, the APY increases when ILV pumps compared to ETH.
Does the APY also increase based on Sushiswap transaction volume, even if the price remains around the same?
No. Monstrous trading volume would increase the SLP token value slightly. (Swap fees get held in the pool and are shared among SLP tokens) Therefore apy would go down a little.
Hey guys, so if I put a low gas fee for claiming rewards it should stay in queue until the day it can go through, right? No risk on doing so?
I’ve experienced this working. But also failing.
But it'll just get stuck queued so you can just cancel, right? I'm kinda tight on the ETH so I can't pay these damn gas fees lol
What I think happens is that the gas limit estimation is based on the tx complexity at the time you approve it. But as you have more ILV to claim the transaction limit should be increased a little. So when I’ve rounded up my gas limit an extra 50k or so it has worked.
That’s correct.
Method 3 is my go to solution for cancelling transactions on metamask. More complicated but way cheaper than pressing the cancel button. https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015489251-How-to-speed-up-or-cancel-a-pending-transaction
That makes sense.
Oh, great! I'll probably wait just in case. Have we seen gas fees at around ~65 lately or no? Haven't really been paying attention to ETH.
GAS fees are an important thing to consider when it comes to transactions on the Ethereum Mainnet. Optimal GWEI can be found by checking the Gas tracker bot in the discord member list and by checking historical gas prices here: https://etherscan.io/gastracker#historicaldata
Cool, it seems 60 isn't too low. I'll try with like 70 and leave it at that. Thanks!
wen ETH 4k? Need to load up before staking v2
Daily lows seem to be under 50
Good luck! #💰〕token
nvm forgot about the second claim fee lmaooooo
SLP claim?
Yeah lol. It's been so long I forgot about it. Oof.
Yeah SLP claim is gas heavy
Two transactions and the second one gets approved after the first. And that second one has like 2x the gas limit as the first.
Yeah cancel that mess.
Should I stake now or wait for V.2? If I do stake now will I have to pay withdraw and staking fees again?
Damn I'm gonna lose $15 because I'm stupid. I guess I'm never claiming those rewards hahaha. Well, it's not like I'm generating a ton of ILV anyway.
@gloomy gazelle is this "and set the gas higher (to what is recommended on https://etherscan.io/gastracker). ETH amount can be left at 0." necessary in your opinion? Just want to make sure.
You’d have to pay fees to upgrade later to migrate. So you may want to consider waiting.
For what
For cancelling, it's what the article you linked says

It will be in #📣〕announcements
when v2 is out you will need to upgrade it. Most probably around 15 - 21st Dec. but no confirmed date yet.
Oh no. You just need to put gwei as higher than what it was in the first transaction. The one you want to cancel.
ahh, the gas fees..

Is there anyway to avoid that crazy fees? If I want to make an ILV/ETH pair its crazy high fees. First I paid like 180$ for swapping eth in ilv and than they want 280$ for making the pair. With 700$ invest I lose more than half of my money.
Not really. And don’t trust anyone in DMs telling you about celo. They are trying to steal your crypto.

Two week pause makes that doable for anyone that pays attention
miss these SLP prices 😦
Yep got my stack of SLP at those prices
Illuvium has been the best investment so far for me since 2017.
Where to stake ilv??
Illuvium | Staking
So if more people stake… does that mean the percentage goes up or down?
If that is all that changes, down. There are a fixed number of tokens minted as rewards. The more staked, they have to be spread more thin.
If you are interested in staking, it is still the way to go imo
Question about the flash pool
Are you supposed to withdraw after the flash pool is complete? Or is it still active as long as you leave it in there.
That’s a good question
Hey btw will we be able to stake SLP locked for 1 year with a weight of 2 in V2 or no?

Yes you can
When FP has enter you can withdraw. Nothing happens if you don't. The pool will just hold your tokens. For now, you will be forced to claim rewards too. So FP withdrawal is an2 gas TX.
Are you saying that when I withdraw, I am forced to claim the reward at the same time?
damn man, the reward is like only a 0.25 ILV
You click “withdraw” a TX pops up. You confirm it, pay two gas, and done. Make sure you do it when gas is cheap then. Also if you claim ILV, it will be locked. If you claim sILV, it won't.
I presume you meant, when FP has ended you can withdraw right? There's no point leaving it there when it's ended, like it's not earning anything right.
Yep. It will just sit there doing nothing.
ok thx for the clarification. Probably shouldn't have entered the pool in the first place
any idea what the land sale will be sold in. Currency wise.
ETH or sILV
o ok
gm
your choice?
sILV obviously.
sILV costs close to 600 usd. But has ILV buying power
True
When the team tokens unlock is anything stopping them from nuking the slp pool with their inflow?
They can add to SLP if they want. They can keep it in to get RevDis too. They can sell. But it’s been mentioned many times investors have been hand picked and are the ones that are supporters of RevDis
Yeah but I am a huge supporter of revdis. And the sheer quantity. The slp pool would make the most logical sense? But given the information you have you reckon they'd just leave it?? Thats the other obvious choice and the least risk overall.
If they join SLP, they are choosing YF over RevDis and defeats the purpose of backing RevDis, cuz it gets lower RevDis. But still, they are free to do whatever they want 🙂
I know this is gonna sound weird but have u seen any of my vids?? You're like my favourite mod and I'd be so flattered :P
Actually it gets like 30% more revdis than it's current revdis. But half the tokens. Overall given staking rewards it's the better choice mathematically
Maybe less so with impermanent loss and the amount of apy they would drop the pool by
Oh....thx 😄 i donno what to say haha
I've made a really neat revdis compounding interest calculator im excited to make content on. Basically it shows that with 10 tokens and compounding revdis. You could be a multi millionaire in 10 years. During a bear market you could be a multi millionaire in 5 years. Crazy to think ilv will be way better to hold during a bear market but it is
Well, RevDis will only be given to ILV tokens. Depending on how they wanna join SLP, they might have to sell half for half which gives them less RevDis and ofc defeats the purpose of them endorsing the project all together. So I think it's pretty much unlikely that any invested would pick YF (in March) over RevDis
Less tokens staked. Lower token price = more revdis and more tokens
RevDis is your hands in money. So why not haha
Well the cheaper ILV, the more you get for RevDis and the more the price raises
Thats fair. Love your opinion on the matter. I know the team has been careful with choosing investors.
And yup still many people (outside of this discord) are sleeping on revdis way too much. All we need now is the game to be successful. And I've seen the hype esports tournaments can create for a game. I have no doubts we all about to buy an island or two
Thx. Sure. The more ppl sleep on it, the fewer stake long term, the more they sell and exit, the better for the stakers it will be. Not all players are stakers and have access to sILV, and the fact that MoonPay is partnering up with IMX to bring in fiat and direct ETH purchases is a massive upwards blow to the RevDis (buy ETH with fiat directly and throw it in the game)
Massive isn’t the right adjective 🤔
Haha I'm running out of the door so I'm short on adjs at the moment haha 😄 you give it your best shot and make it bigger
Mythical
More seriously I don’t think people understand enough the impact of the fiat on ramp of IMX … I saw some announce here and there in projects but surprised illuvium didn’t announced anything
Probably waiting for some more confirmations. We first need to 100% confirm that ILV has been placed on IMX. The team is still working on it. (or maybe that it is an IMX thing than ILV thing)
!staking @brisk surge here
When holding ILV, staking is a way to gain additional rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution.
You can find an in-depth video for staking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6YugU4zZr4&t=1s
cheers
there's a tutorial you can watch 🙂
Hi, I have questions with wallets. About hardware and browser for staking
I connected my hardware wallet Trezor in the staking site. But my assets are in my browser wallet that is also connected to the hardware. both of them have the same address
Hey first read this just to be sure. #🥩〕staking message
so you have your ILV in your MM-Trezor wallet? if so, then you can proceed with staking.
Alright, just need to connect the browser wallet that isconnected to hardware right?
yep. you can stake with the wallet that is connected to your hardware wallet. in your case, it can be MM-Trezor. (be careful to stake with the one connected to Trezor and not other HOT wallets)
Copy that. Thank you so much!
Guys, enlighten me on staking v2 I heard about, please
I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, but where can I unstake my flexible ILV tokens?
You can read the iip proposal pinned in this channel for v2, if you haven’t. Got a lot of info.
Oops got it already

hey guys, I have 1 ILV token staked in the core pool and for more than 2 months I have earned 0.02 That amount however has not moved for about 2-3 weeks... Do I need to claim that in order to continue earning from staking? If so, the gas fee is double that amount.... any insight in that regard?
The reward distribution goes down every 2 weeks and you get fewer and fewer. Since your stake is pretty small, I will take time. I suggest waiting longer to see if the pending rewards change
You don’t need to claim them though. It should keep accruing
thanks for the quick answers, guys. all the best
Hello guys, confused about something... If I want to stake ILV in the SLP pool, do I need to have an EQUAL amount of ILV and ETH in order to stake? As in, if I want to stake 10 ILV, do I need to ALSO have the same amount of ETH? Thanks
Yes, the same amount in USD $ value though.
Oh damn... Ok... Didn't know that
Some more info on the SLP Staking process below!
So just to confirm, if I just went out and bought 10k usd worth of ILV with the purpose of staking that ILV in the SLP pool, then, I would ALSO have to go out and buy 10k usd worth of Ethereum in order to do so?
If you didn't already have ETH, then yes. But also, you'd need a bit more in ETH because you'll need to pay gas fees with ETH all along the way
Ok
I just didn't know that, it means I'll essentially only be able to stake half as much ILV as I thought I could, since I'll need to now sell half of the ILV I bought in order to buy the same amount in Ethereum
Ah, yeah. That's correct. You could still stake all of the ILV you currently have in the ILV only core pool although as you see between the two core pools, the returns are higher with the SLP pool. The decision is up to you!
Just be sure you understand the concept of impermanent loss that comes with liquidity providing so there are no surprises or shocks ***if ***a time ever comes for you to withdraw your ILV/ETH from Sushi.
Ah ok got it thanks for the info... Can I ask, is it possible that impermanent loss may result in making the returns from the SLP pool LOWER than the returns from the ILV only pool at the end of the 52 weeks I lock them up for?
It could if ILV moon more than the APY given for SLP
Ah ok... So it's possible that the less risky, ILV only pool could offer higher gains than the riskier SLP pool 52 weeks from now? Because of the facts that 1. The SLP pool suffers from the possibility of impermanent loss, and 2. The fact that you'd have to invest half of what you COULD have invested in the SLP pool than the ILV only pool, for the reason that the SLP pool requires an equal amount of ETH to ILV? Very confusing!
Very early on, SLP was the obvious choice due to the crazy APY. As we close in on RevDis and the early token unlocks it becomes significantly more murky.
Oh ok, interesting
Can I ask what staking pool you'd personally recommend at this point? Not financial advise, I know
Oh and also, for the SLP pool, if I staked for example 1k usd worth of ILV and 1k usd worth of eth, for a total of 2k usd staked in the pool, would I earn APY interest on just the 1k worth of ILV, or would the interest be applied to both the 1k of ILV AND the 1k of eth? Thanks so much
you get it on both the ILV and ETH
Soo would restaking our Revdis as SLP be a good technique you think, in the future?
You would earn rewards for the totality of your SLP stake, both ILV and ETH
My bad @wheat kestrel I overlooked your response, cheers
Ohh ok... Then I feel like it would always make more sense to go the SLP pool over the ILV only pool, in my opinion
Hard to say - if a lot of people do this the YF APY drops a lot and you would have been better off staking ILV only to get RevDis on everything.
I just didn't know that I needed equal amounts of eth and ILV for SLP pool
Long term strategy depends on a lot of unknowns, how many unlocked ILV will ape into SLP? How much revenue will actually be coming in? Etc.
Got it, thanks so much for ur insights
This is beyond my pea brain lol
But, for now SLP is definitely still worth it
Ah ok, got it
Will sell half my ILV for eth now 😆
Just watch out for gas fees - it's high right now. Usually lower on Sundays if it doesn't calm down soon.
Oh yea, about that, do u know if the v2 staking will fix that? I heard somewhere v2 staking would remove gas fees, or something
Won't remove fees, but should reduce them a good deal. Probably going live this month sometime, so might be worthwhile to wait if you only have say a couple thousand $ worth of investment. Saving $50 or so in gas can really add up.
Oh wow that's amazing, thanks so much

What nano ledger do u guys recommend to use in conjunction with metamask for staking? Nano ledger s, or nano ledger x?
I use X and gonna order 2 more
Awesome thank u
Hi, I have rewards to claim from both ILV and sushi LP pools. I only have a small amount of non-LP rewards to claim so I don't want to waste gas on it. However, the UI only allows to claim both. Any advice?
As long as you are staked on V1, you will be required to claim both pools once you press "claim" on SLP rewards. V2 will fix this issue. (you canm claim sILV if you want to claim in 1 TX, but sILV has a different use case and in not going to be staked)
Thanks. It seems to require 2 different transactions though? Is it theoretically possible to just execute one transaction to only claim the LP rewards (is it a UI limitation)?
if you wanna claim your SLP rewards in form of ILV, it will always be a 2 gas TX until you upgrade to V2. (in 2-3 weeks)
Hey guys is that the good time for start staking or is it better to wait v2 ?
If it's small, I'd wait for V2
Wondering whether to stake in v1 or wait for v2? A word from the wise 🙂
Till how many ILV its small ? Haha
So good @final steppe
literally the PM above yours
😂😂
It means if we have invested more than 300$ is better to stake now ? Can someone explain me the why ? I wanna understand
Oof, wasn't expecting the pin! Haha... let me touch that up 💅
it means if you get about $300 in rewards if you stake now, then He would suggest you wait. You can check with the pinned calculators to be sure
I get this question. My opinion, 2 ILV at least to stake. Still, that would be okay if you can get the lowest gas fees.
$300 is just for gas usually. I initially invested 1 ILV for $500 on eth last September. But now i accumulated a lot more on binance exchange, cheaper gas for accumulation.
Waiting for the v2 staking before I transfer everything to ethereum mainnet.
Perfect thanks 😍
Oh very clear thanks
is there a way to stake sILV?
sILV can not be staked.
Hello all... While our ILV is being staked, it cannot be inside of a hardware wallet, right? It will be residing on the cloud, or smart contract, or something like that? Thanks all
Yes it will be locked in the illuvium website you can look at it through your vesting tab
Ah ok thank u... Hope no hacks occur while funds are staked for such a long period of time 😆
You can stake using hardware wallets for sure. I don't have the experience to walk you through it, but know people have definitely done it. The hardware wallet doesn't "store" your crypto, it's more like a specific 2FA device. Crypto is always on the blockchain, you can't "take coins offline."
Ohh ok, that's great... That's one concern of mine, staking for such long periods of time without hardware wallets... Do u know anywhere I can find more info on it? I'm googling it now
@cyan rampart @cunning perch do we have a guide for staking with a hardware wallet?
Thanks guys!! Really appreciate the fantastic support 👍
Just don't trust anyone that DMs you trying to "help" 😉
Oh yes got it, thank u so much
I need to claim what is better ? Claim now or wait v2 ?
Almost certainly V2 at this point
@next ruin It varies by wallet. There's no official guide on the Illuvium side, but hardware wallets typically offer support for their products. I'd check their resources first. There are also people who have experience with a variety of hardware wallets in the Discord who can help out.
- DM = SCAM 🙂
I'm also looking to stake with a hardware wallet - I imagine I just send my SLP tokens to my ledger erc20 address and then access it via Metamask integration to stake from there? Can anyone confirm this?
Has anyone noticed a significant decrease in their ILV earned per day? I'm earning about 60% of the ILV I use to earn 4-5 months ago. Is this going to happen every few months?
I believe the ILV distributed falls by 3% every fortnight.
The price of ILV changes as well which will affect the APY
I know the APY is down from before but it doesn't seem to be down enough to earn 40% less. I didn't think the price would effect it but maybe it does. I'm going to keep an eye on it
I think it costed me more in fees to stake then my potential return in a year lol
This drop is totally a function of the ILV price, and it's why APY is a confusing metric for the SLP. As ILV price changes, so does the APY, while the rewards received only change with pool growth and 3% rewards decrease. See the pinned dashboard from me (Sept 21) for a sheet that tracks actual rewards, not APY.
Oh wow thanks a lot for this... Sounds super incredibly complicated... I'm sure the risk of a hack is incredibly low, I don't think I'd be uncomfortable with just staking it on the website as normal with no hardware wallet
What is the minimum amount worth steaking?
Depends on the individual really and the gas cost for it
A few hundred might not be worth it to go SLP pool but I would just buy and stake ILV for RevDis
this also depends on your time horizon. at a minimum you'll have staking and unstaking fees. the longer you plan to be staked, the lower "reasonable" becomes. if you only have a little to stake, consider waiting for staking v2 coming soon, which will lower fees
hi
Appreciate the answer guys. Thank you. What is RevDis?
The tokenomics of this DAO include a 100% revenue distribution (could be subject to change - DAO governance). This means that any kind of revenue generated through sales or in-game revenue is distributed back to holders of staked ILV. The same max supply of 10 Million ILV will be used for this purpose regardless of how many games the DAO develops.
Revenue distribution is paid out in the form of unlocked ILV and the payout is done multiple times a week without a fixed schedule. Before paying out revenue distribution, the vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by buying it off the market which puts buying pressure on the ILV token and thus supports its price development.
this does mean that we can live on income for the rest of our lives depending on the success of the game or iam a dreaming?
Depends on how much you stake and how well the project does, but yeah the studio plans for several games and ventures using the same tokenomics, so it could be really big for a long time.
this is great!
Let's f(ric)king hope so dude
Do i understand it correct the vault is only distributed to the ILV staking pool and not SLP?
It is distributed to both pools. For SLP, you only receive revdis for the ILV portion of the SLP though (not the ETH portion of the SLP).
Someone can tell me why this is staying in pending ??
every transaction need some time, based on the Gasprice u set
hmm yeah i know that, but it's long and i put suffisant gas
How long can that take ?
my last one took 4-5min too, I would give thought to it if it needs longer then ~15-30min
it still 5min
u can take a look in the TxN
fking ledger is buging i think
It's not Ledger. The moment you confirm something in Ledger is out in ETH scan. You can add gas. I guess you had set gas to a point and it spiked and now you don't have enough to cover it. You can either wait, or speed up
Quick question. Is it bad to stake your ILV if its not connected to your ledger?
Or cold wallet i mean
depends if u trust the cold wallet more or not
Cold wallets make it safer as they keep your keys offline.
but as long as u dont give away your keys or do phishing updates it shoulld be safe
I just staked my first ILV but didn’t connect it to my cold wallet was wondering if i should unstake it connect it then restake but thats a bitch to do
Well if you have staked it already and locked it, then you should wait for it to unlock. I don't do anything without my CW
so i'm not sure i'm understanding V2 migration correctly. everything i have staked is locked for at least another 9 months or so. does that mean that i will be stuck on v1 for those staked funds untill it unlocks?
and so if i want to add funds in v2 staking, i will be using 2 separate platforms?
hi all 🙂 got a question. i dont want a financial advice. just for understanding. would u guys if u invest like 3k, stake in lp pool or normal ilv pool? someone knows how much fees it costs if i am supply liquidity for slp on uniswap? is it possible that its cost like 600USD fees? just for supply liquidity on uniswap? 😮
and how much fees does it cost just for swap eth to sILV? which way to get sILV is the cheapest one?
if your purpose is to get sILV for the land sale, it would make more sense to just swap. typically fees are around $100 but very wildly
Do your staking transactions at times of low gas. Check some online trackers which show the peak and off peak hours. You can at least save some money that way.
If you want to stake, I'd do core with 3k, NFA of course. But if you want land, I'd buy sILV
To be honest, I wouldn’t bother staking that amount if your purpose is to get silv as rewards for land or in game use (triple your Eth instantly), just buy silv on uniswap (cheap cheap) and pay one gas fee.
If you’re wanting to stake for revdis purposes, I suggest saving at least 15k and throwing in SLP for max weight. You will pay multiple gas fees to stake and every time you claim rewards you will pay three lots of gas (worth it if you have a big bag to stake)
thx sir! what is revdis meaning?
!revdis

Revenue distribution
Ooo alright. so u think the invest its below 15k dont stake in SLP? sorry my english isnt that good
but staking just ilv its also nice because we can get sILV for ingame progress right?
That is such a hard one for me to answer as I would only stake in SLP, all of your claimed Ilv rewards then vest in the ilv pool for 12 months.
so stake SLP - take rewards in ILV - stake it normal and get sILV as reward? that sounds intresting
First you need to figure out your purpose for staking. Do you want revdis or do you want silv for game use?
sILV for game use for sure
If I were in your position then I would buy 3k of silv off uniswap, the correct address should be pinned in the token Chanel or @cunning perch can link you to it. Then save like crazy and stake that other 12k in SLP before it’s too far out of reach haha

2:30 and I got a brain heart attack
Legend, go to sleep mate, you deserve it.
Thx brother 🙂
thx so much sir for your tipp! such a nice community :))
so u think for 3k it is not worth to stake anything to take some APY? i really have to think about it 🙂
Right now you can buy silv for $560 so you will get around 5 silv. Staking 3k will not get you 5 silv in time for land sale
sure i see! thx 🙂
should i swap it directly from eth? or are there any way to do it cheaper or so?
That is the only way to swap it.
As far as I’m aware.
so i'm not sure i'm understanding V2 migration correctly. everything i have staked is locked for at least another 9 months or so. does that mean that i will be stuck on v1 for those staked funds untill it unlocks?
and so if i want to add funds in v2 staking, i will be using 2 separate platforms?
I would recommend to join the AMA today at Polemos if you are interested, you can ask questions about v2 staking there.
ILLUVIUM live stream goin on now yall https://youtu.be/QYpiY4MzKV8
Today we have a Math Genius YouTuber, Mr. Jason Scoriox. We will be going over the numbers and possibilities of ILLUVIUM.
When is ILV V2 ?
If you mean staking V2, there is no date yet.
Should i buy ILV to stake in V2?
hey guys any way to know what is the price of 1 lp token ILV/ETH? any website or calculator to do so ?
i joined. it's just 3 channels and no discussion
are you sure it is Polemos? There should be a lot more channels.
you can find the link to discord in #899655780033261639 Arash's post.
i went to the link you replied with and completed the captcha
Yeap. this is correct. Let me check how I can get other channels to open up for you.
thank you
As mentioned you can use zapper, zerion, apy.vision and for calculating the actual staking you can use https://cooper1903.shinyapps.io/stakingyield/
ty appreciated 🙂
Hi mate. Please kindly do this. It will unlock more channels:
that worked. thank you
Do we know how this dip will be affecting the staking API?
The dip will not affect the APY %. If more people unstake, the % will increase. If more ppl add stake, % will decrease.
But a dip might encourage people to buy and stake, so is it logical to assume a dip might mean more people staking soon (as long as gas fees go down I guess) ?
I doubt it will be that significant amount of new stake. Especially when the market is volatile.
I agree
hi! has anyone tried to swap slp (axie) to ilv on sushiswap?
should be possible. haven't tried it before though
kind of scares me seeing that i have to manually add it first 😅
Just be sure to use the correct token address from the pinned msga in #💰〕token
Hey guys, do we have a rough estimate as to when staking v2 comes out?
In 2-3 weeks
Thanks!
I think you can do it but you will pay a little bit more gas because you have to made multiple swap, you can see it on the little blue sign left from the ''1 ILV = 32600....'' on the picture
Thank you so much everyone ❤️ I'll try to look it up a little bit too.
guy can I know how to withdraw from staking ?
how do I with draw from staking?
How long do you locked it?
not locked
Flexible?
yes
I don't made it, so i think you must go to staking, unlock or something in the vesting section , claim all rewards and go. 🤷♂️
The rewards stay there after for 12 months
when i with drwa I need to wtihdraw ILV or sILV ?
I am at the claim page and they ask me to claim reward which one should I claim ?
You withdraw what you stake so ilv. You can claim rewards in silv or ilv but still stay there for 12 months
Not in the reward page, go to vesting and unlock and claim from there (i think)
some one once mention if you with draw one of the either sILV or ILV both will get withdraw, but if I only withdrwa the wrong one .. I need to withdrwa twice
I want to know which to with draw I don't want to with drwa the wrong onw
Better wait someone, that have flexible stake.
What di you want ti do with? What's the plan?
Sell or land?
No, what do you mean is if you withdraw just ilv pool you withdraw just ilv pool, if you withdraw sushi slp pool you withdraw both
SLP pool .. I with draw so Now I need to so sushi swap ? I forgot how to swap it back ?
Go to sushi pool website with your slp token und, i think, ''remove liquidity''
but why I did not see SLP token in my wallet ?
I type SLP in the sushi swap it show me smooth love potion ?
Witch wallet? Maybe you need to add it manually the smart contrat on it. But you don't need it, go to the sushi pool, it will find. It
Metamask
You need to go one the ilv/eth pool
and liquidity section
yes thanks I saw it I just need to paste to the correct Chrome .. I have 2 ...it went to the wrong one
Done?
yes almost .. I set a low gas so waiting ... really thank for you help. @dull quartz straight away DM me and suggest me to cnnect to celo wallet ... scammer !!!
I told him why you can't reply me in discord ..
Yeb scammer!
I saw it
I do not want others to fall prey to scammers hiding in here
the most scammer are the one hiding in rarity sniper NFT discord... no matter which project has mint I received DM from that discord's scammer to informed I am WL and mint links and all .. I always report to rarity sniper and they really appreciates me. every time I report they will Ban and tag me so I know those bots are banned
PSA: It would be in your best intrest to turn off DM's in discord setting - Any DM about Illvium or any offer to "help" by DM is a SCAM
I have a question for you all, regarding the staking of Sushi LP.
I staked a fixed term Sushi LP about a month ago.
This time I decided to do a second staking, so I created a SushiLp again and started staking.
However, the staking process did not complete even after 24 hours.
It is still marked as being in process on my PC.
”Before you can stake, you first have to claim your existing rewards in this pool. You will be asked to confirm these in your wallet."
I got a message saying
I tried to claim the rewards.
so
"You will now claim any rewards in the ILV pool, followed by any rewards in the Sushi LP pool
You'll be asked to approve these transactions in your wallet".
I got a message
And
The transaction is being processed on your PC.
It's been 24 hours.
Does anyone know what to do?
probably you didn t put eniough gas, exemple, you let metamask decide, and the previous block was 100 gas, so metamask putted around that.
then for next block gas picked up and never went back yet to the amount you set.
your tx will be queuded and can take very long to get fullfilled.
2 solutions
waiting as long as it need to go down in gas
speed up the process by adding more gas (the speed up option in MM)
It's probably the scenario Hiroo described - If your wallet's gas price was too low, the transaction may not have completed. You can check the gas price the transacton was set for on Etherscan.
If all else fails, you could do a nonce cancellation (there's a guide for this on Metamask's help page). I'd avoid doing this unless everything else fails - If your claim transaction goes through, but not your staking transaction, you'll have to claim again to try and stake.
hi yall. I have a question about staking. Since gas fees are so ridiculously high, what amount of ETH do you consider as enough volume for me to stake?
There's a calculator with gas fees pinned in this channel.
You can use it to figure out exactly how much ETH all your transactions will cost when gas is "X"
Thanks for this!
go to your metamask and check pending transaction. look for speed up button , click ..look at the gas if it is acceptable just accept, if not go to advanced and scroll all the way down to MAX FEE and adjust it. Check Gas Now on web and see what is the fast gas and edit the max to the same as fast ..
check gas now .. since staking there is no time limit you can follow this. use the adjust max gas method and wait. on the Metamask page, right head side top corner , click the EDIT. scroll down to the bottom find MAX FEE , adjust it till you see around $90/NFT and save it. Let it run for a few hours until it is done. if not done, find it and speed it up , maybe adjst the MXA Fee to $100. $100 should get done . DO NOT adjust other fee only MAX FEE !!!
Been a while since I swapped eth for ILV, whats the best to use? Sushi? 1inch?
Sushi is probably best - Tends to have the best prices and deepest liquidity
When a locked pool stake of sILV ends and is available for withdrawal, what happens if I just leave it there? Does it still continue to earn at the lower 1x rate?
If you mean SLP or ILV pool, the stake amount will still earn yeild the same weight as your original lock period if you don’t withdraw it.
You will need to upgrade it when v2 is out though for continue yield.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking of - if I re-stake it in the locked pool now, I will pay gas fees only to have to redo it again when V2 comes out, right?
Yeah. Wait for the v2. Withdraw and restake.
In 2 - 3 weeks
My understanding is that V2 has to be finished before the land sale. V2 has all the updated contracts to handle revdis.
Is it better to stake in the Slp Pool now or wait till V2 is coming?
I trust in this game and will always retake for years^^
Would I get more if I start now with the current (Staking/Pool) 😳 or how called😆 and upgrade to V2 or just wait for V2??
Thx if anyone can HELP me
It's completely up to you, but I'd personally wait. You'll pay gas to stake, and V2 has gas optimizations, so it should be cheaper. You'll also have to upgrade a stake to V2 once it's live, which will cost gas.
Thank u so much👍 👍 😆
Each stake? I mean if i stake 10 times i need to upgrade all alone? 10 Transaction?
No. You just pay one gas fee for each pool if you have a stake in it. So say for example I have one core ILV stake and 3 SLP stakes. I’d need to pay two gas fees to upgrade; one for the ILV pool and one for the SLP pool
Ok, nice! I was afraid that i would need to pay each stakes on slp pool. Thank you.
Hello! I need help. I have a coinbaseWallet. I link it on the illivium website. When I want to start staking, it requires to first get the approval with the wallet. I click approve on the prompt, but after a few seconds it says that the signature failed
have you got enough ETH to cover the fees?
In this wallet, I have about 1.5 ILV and thats it
you need to pay ETH for fees. One for Approval and one to stake
I guess it should cost you arounf $80-$150 maybe more maybe less
Thank you very much.
hello all,
quick question:
if you stake Sushi LP as locked even if for 1 week ... your rewards are vested for a year?
is this the same for flexible stake of Sushi LP. would your rewards not be vested for a year that way?
ILV rewards will always need one year to be vested regardless of the duration of your stake in either pool
copy that... thank you for the very quick response. 👍
Hey, can we stake through binance smart chain?
Nope. ILV is on ETH mainnet and therefore an ERC-20 token and you can only stake it through ILV website: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core
I see, thank you
I know it’s hard to tell but say u put in $100 usd how much could that potentially be worth in a year
not worth it tbh. right now the gas you pay will be more than $100 to stake and even with V2, you won't get that cheap gas for each reward claim. unless you wanna just buy and hold
Ye buying and holding what would it kind of be like
guys can anyone explain the difference between staking the ILV vs. staking ETH/ILV with Sushi LP?
No one knows. ILV might make a 10X, might go down more, might even stay stagnant.
like with the APY on the Eth/ILV, are you still participating in the underlying price action of eth and ilv when you withdraw it, but also get that APY on your ILV?
!read these please

what are the current gas fee if I want to stake sushi LP rn?
like the apy is much higher on ilv/eth, so why wouldnt you choose that one?
you might want to check out this video too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T2WzeXWC4k&t=777s
it might cost you something between $100 to $200 more or less
Oh so we gotta invest for quite a long time, or a good amount, to make profit over that fee
my lil' 1.5 ILV wont generate much profit
V2 will make it easier, but the more you stake the more you get ofc. In V2, it might be worth staking in ILV pool. I'd wait for 2-3 weeks then decide
Thank you again. You are one very helpful Illuvimod.
ive been watching the vids and saw the links, thank you. given these things are you guys more comfortable staking simply the ILV or have you gone the sushi lp ilv/eth route?
i think i kind of understand the impermanent loss as the main con of the sushi lp route, however is it not that bad and do you still participate in eth and ilv price appreciation once youve withdrawn?
Personally, I went for SLP. I don't mind the impermanent loss given the APY in SLP. But the choice is yours of course. NFA
cool, and when you go to withdraw the SLP, do you get the same amount of eth and ilv back so you participated in both those tokens price trajectories in the meantime?
the SLP price increases with the ILV and ETH price increases. But you will most likely not get back the same number of token when you withdraw. I am not very good at explaining this so may be this video will help.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XJ1MSTEuU0&t=4s
Have you ever provided liquidity to a liquidity pool just to realise that some of your coins have gone missing? In this video, we’ll learn what “impermanent loss” is and how it can affect liquidity providers’ profits.
In essence, impermanent loss is a temporary loss of funds occurring when providing liquidity. It’s very often explained as a di...
yeah dude i appreciate your input and understand. i watched that same vid
i understand about 50% of it but get a little lost in the complexities. it doesnt break down from a general sense how bad impermanent loss can be
you can also check out this link on SLP price.
https://app.zerion.io/invest/asset/SLP-0x6a091a3406e0073c3cd6340122143009adac0eda
oh thats pretty cool
so once you stake SLP, thats basically the price chart you can monitor to see how its doing?
correct.
so like you basically dont get the full price appreciation opportunity of eth and ilv while its staked because arbitragers in the liquidity pool are actually getting more of that by using your liquidity, but thats why you get paid 400+%?
yes. that is correct.
awesome thanks for explaining!
Do we know when V2 staking is coming out? I’m waiting on that to start
2-3 weeks
Thanks Arash! If I have 0.5 ILV is that worth enough to stake? I’m planning on getting another 0.5-1.5 but I’m not sure what my timeline is yet
Personally, I won’t go for staking if my budget is lower than $3000. With the high gas fees for staking, it might be better off to buy low sell high with the lower budget.
NFA of course 🙂
That mostly makes sense, thank you for the reply!! I would probably be right around the minimum you’re suggesting. I want to dca another $3-5k over the next month or two depending on how much prices fluctuate. I’m hoping to add another $1.5k before V2 comes out along with the 0.5 ILV I have currently. Would that scenario deem it close to your minimum of $3k to stake? Is there a minimum token amount you’d recommend? $3k is ~2.2 ILV atm, so does that mean if I get another 1.7 I should stake with V2? Thank you!!
or just HODL and DCA. Been doing that since I started at 1 ILV for $500.
yep. down 5% in impermanent loss and up 100% in rewards
On your budget, I'd accumulate and wait to see what revdis numbers look like. I'm not expecting a MASSIVE amount from the first land sale, so I don't think you'll miss out much revdis-wise. Personally, I think staking the SLP soon is super advisable - Come about August 2022, I think the APY will be getting fairly diluted in both staking pools, as staking rewards will be finishing vesting, and the token unlocks from seed/preseed/team will be something like 2/5 unlocked. Taking advantage of the 300-400% APY in the SLP before March/April is super advisable IMO.
TL;DR: Accumulate, stake SLP once you have 3-4k to invest. NFA, just my opinions.
I'd say it's worth it even with only 2k to invest, personally. I went in on Halloween with 1 ILV and the equivalent value of ETH, did the 12 month lockup, already earned 0.86 ILV in just the 1 month. I may be missing out on swing trade profit potential, but I have other investments I do swings with, so as a purely passive route, the gains are not bad at all. (NFA)
Although I'm wondering, will the transition to v2 affect our staked tokens at all? Is there anything we need to do? Or will the contracts be transfered over or something?
Basically we'll have to do a single transaction per pool to "Upgrade" to V2. Once we're unlocked, migration is an option (but not mandatory)
What about those who locked?
Just a single as well?
Just listen to the advice of Aaron and players in the crypto space. Pay the fee and migrate to enjoy the long term benefits 🙂 I am not an expert but if your invested long term its there
IMO if he is steering us wrong about moving to V2 we have MUCH larger problems
Yeah, the process is detailed in the staking V2 IIP for each type of stake. You can find that IIP in #809220563397902346 .
Will APY percents change with V2?
(And what are they currently?)
I’m waiting until V2 to stake
APY will be as it has always been. It will change and mostly drop or change with price movement. It doesn’t affect the rewarding Ratio. There is a calculator made by @elder dawn that can help you it is pinned in messages in the channel.
Awesome thanks again!
Do I need to do much for staking v2 when it launches
you can go through the proposal to see if there is much to do in your case.
Oh so v2 is only for flash pools and not the core pools of i read that right
It's for core pools and might take flash pools into consideration as well
It i stake for 5 weeks
Will it be autostaked normally afterwards for free withdraw?
Nothing will be free my friend. I suggest reading about V2 first in #809220563397902346
Thanks, will do
will it be worth it staking 1 ILV conciddering the eth gas prices?
Also should I buy some sILV for when the game goes live or I will be just fine with ETH?
For Staking V2, I know it is optional to claim rewards when upgrading a locked stake. However, my rewards will probably be where I would want to claim them by the time V2 is released, so can I upgrade my SLP stake and claim rewards in the same transaction? Would that cost more gas?
Guys quick question, can I switch my Wallet adress related to my staking, to another wallet ?
I don’t think it’s possible
good cuestion, would like to know aswell
You can only migrate when v2 is out. If you need to secure your wallet you can use an hardware like ledger or trezor
also will you need to stake a full ILV to be abel to vote in the DAO?
Okay Thanks, and when will it be out ?
No one knows exactly. Probably early next year Were you hacked?. If yes you then have to migrate your wallet fast before the scammer does
Yes I was, I trasnfered most of it tho, but my stake in unfortunalty still in the wallet
You should get a trezor hardware wallet
do you use Metamask? i feel like it is not save to use..
I will look into that thanks
Metamask is safe unless you leak your keys
i have Ledger.. is it posible to stake with this hardwear wallet?
Yes my new wallet, the compromised one is not usable
ahh oke!
yep i use a ledger
I don't see ledger as a option to use to stake?
it's the first time im going to stake a coin so bit confusing everything
I see trezor as option, but not Ledger
I think you can use the trezor option
did you use the trezor option to stake with Ledger?
no one moment\ ill will try to find you a guide
ohh that would be amazing thanks!
found one of my old messages #🥩〕staking message ill get the actual guide just fyi the message for slp pool core pool is much easier
here is the ledger guide
https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/the-safest-way-to-use-metamask#:~:text= 1 Step 1. Connect your,computer. So%2C to make sure it... More
thanks alot, I will have a look into it straight away!!
if I stake for a locked period of time, after that time expires does it convert into flexible automatically, or will I have to re-stake (and pay another fee)?
It remains staked at whatever weight it was previously at, and continues to generate rewards. It doesn't convert to a flex stake (although it's unlocked), as that would involve changing the weight it's staked at.
if we have our ILV rewards vested as ILV, is it too late to swap them for sILV when this land sale comes up
Yes, it's too late. You can't "undo" prior claims, but you can claim any pending (unclaimed) rewards as sILV whenever you want. There's no "going back" on rewards you've previously claimed as ILV though.
figured. thanks
does anyone else have a issue when claiming, i do it weekly and today again i claimed both ILV and SLP and i had the ILV processed but not the SLP. this is costing a fortune in gas with these fups.
If our V1 stake unlocks is it possible to migrate to V2 and it still earn rewards and revdis unlocked or are we going to have to lock it in again when migrating?
you know the SLP part cost 2 x gas right?
NFA V2 will e comming soon there is an option to wait
Ive been having trouble the last couple days too. I keep getting the first transaction but the second never shows up.
wish the team had forseen the issues with using ETH, going for your second $200 transaction cost is stressful
just claim less often
I believe they did forsee it, hence their long term plan to go with L2 IMX... but IMX is not ready yet, and the ETH cost has risen quicker than most anticipated
Would it be a good move to invest in IMX too then.. I guess lol
Yes I am planning on doing exactly that.
And from what I seen in the Wallets of some of the big sellers of sILV... they have also been buying IMX.
So I think it may be a good move for me.
NFA
Where can you buy IMX btw?
This shows 29 different different locations to buy or trade it
Oh sweet! Sorry, I had only checked their website and it was only mentioning a 'play 2 earn' period or something, to earn their token. Cheers
I haven't figured out how to do any of that yet, or even staking...
Hi everyone… My SLP staking period ended today. I wish I would have set it for longer. However do I need to restake the SLP to keep earning rewards?
Not that i am aware of but you will need to upgrade / migrate for staking V2 when the 2 week yield stop starts
Are you familiar with how to do the upgrade to v2?
everything we know proposal #809220563397902346 message
Thank you soo much
🙂 this thread also has a lot of info #914729745785171999 message
guys im haviing a issue that i have never encounted before. is there a admin i could dm?
hello, question. If I stake my ILV for 4 weeks. Do i need to withdraw after to earn more?
Where is the calculator, i could not find it
at the top of the screen there is push pin with a red circle in it click on that
What's the process for restaking my SLP tokens for a higher apy? Do I need to pay gas for claiming my rewards, then pay gas to unstake, and then pay again to restake?
Crypto.com and Kucoin both listed it this week
Wait for v2.... withdraw and restake when v2 comes out. It will not force you to claim in v2.
Aaron gave some guidence on whatto do in pretty much any situation here #914729745785171999 message
Thanks!
Hello kinda people of the staking chat, I got two small question, when I decided to stake I choose my payout in ILV, can I claim the pending rewards in sILV even though I chose ILV ? and I know it depends but how often do you guys claim rewards, I'am staking in both ILV and sushi swap pools so I have to claim both, what amount on the sushi and what amount on the ILV do you think its worth it to pay gas to claim the rewards ? thank you so much for helping me. 🙂
Hi mate. You choose what you want to claim ILV or sILV only when you make the claim so you can decide which one you want whenever you claim.
If you are stake in both pool, I would recommend to wait for v2 to claim. In v2, you can claim the both pool at the same time. so this will only cost you 1 gas instead of 2.
I normally claim when the rewards when the gas fee is 1% - 5% of my accumulated rewards. NFA of course.
cheers! 🙂
thanks so much, will take this into account and thanks for your answer 🙏🏿
Does anyone here currently stake from a cold wallet like ledger? To do so did you need to migrate a metamask wallet onto the ledger or can you send your ILV/SLP tokens to your Ledger address and access it by linking through metamask? hope that makes sense
I am trying to send some ILV from crypto.com to my Metamask to have it ready to stake. I should be using the ETH address on my MM correct? I am getting an error when I try to add the wallet address to crypto.com
This was a comment on reddit that got me confused about using a ledger "Yes you can link your hardware wallet with metamask and use funds from your ledger to buy or sell via MM. But you can't store ILV on your ledger. Not yet anyway."
i seem to have a issue with my rewards processing. In my transaction history i have 2 rewards confirming as processed on the blockchain, however on my dashboard the rewards remain unclaimed. Does any one know how i resolve this please? Was a few hours ago and still nothing has fixed.
scammers dont bother dm me
how much ilv reward do you wait to have before claiming?
2.4 between the two pools
gas is low right now but even then i am hesitant to claim my 1.96 ilv reward, would take a month to make back the fees with the 36% APY
what's your reasoning behind 2.4 ?
Yeah I have large portion in SLP
Im still having issues as well. Just had my 5th failed transaction so I think im waiting for monday to see if carlos has any ideas before I try again.
i'm only in SLP so far
For the last 3 weeks I've had failed transactions
in some way ETH is cheaper right now so that is like paying less fees, but on the other end "selling" ETH right now is a bad time
