I find it very hard to believe anyone web2 who plays f2p Zero will actually be convinced to go through the motions to pay lots of money for the same gaming experience except you can now sell assets for pennies each

Right now, I have to put some thought into what to do with 50 more buildings. Upgrading converters changes the amount of efficiency you need to maintain 1:1 conversion, so I can't just willy nilly sell off a bunch of Level 3 power stations.

I think that's because this is a brand new studio and was in the period of figuring out what works. With games like Palworld setting a standard and showing the world a working and successful game system that closely matches what Illuvium is trying to be, the devs should now be able to focus their attention on tried and tested systems and not waste any more time on guessing.

I play a bit zero, and I would say that the main fun is about providing ressources for the main game, maybe for your own run in overworld, and upgrading your land. But I didn't find lots of strategy thinking or stuff like this in it. I would say that it's a click&collect game, not sure I would play it in F2P for long.

True, I do agree that there was too much time spent on the art in early development, and you could argue it was a rookie mistake, but it's really hard to say for sure either way given their ambitions and goals. What matters to me is we're now in open beta, they got their feedback, and if they can't figure out that they need to do a full hard pivot into gameplay and content, I'd be extremely worried. That's why when I saw it was highly likely we'll get a PvP arena like Palworld gives me hope

Honestly, the PvP aspect is what will be the best sink if done well. There's no end game for PvP like there is for PvE. Just look at LoL or Valorant... Same maps, same fundamental content, yet they just keep going

The same thing happened to me because I transferred the lands through the network. You have to do it, once you have access to the passport to import the land. Now, no matter what, you've spoiled it. I decided to reset the earth and start over. 20 days later illuvium support replied to me. What level nexus?

Gacha game model, all base content is free, they hand out the paid currency to their players, yet they've been the highest revenue generator on mobile marketplaces year over year. They clearly have the recipe locked down and understand what makes for a widely adopted and highly profitable f2p game. Illuvium needs to learn from other game studios instead of sitting in their echo chambers hyping up how great their IP is (it's not with the current direction we're going)

I would recommend you upgrade the power stations closest to it. I know it already has much more than necessary but there is a bug where a building will get stuck and can only get it going by adding wayyy more power than necessary. I and a few others have fixed this by upgrading the power stations to stage 4-5. Keep upgrading the closest to it until it starts again.

I seen the whole game being built. Testing it like in alpha, then waiting till open beta to start playing. Lots has improved. And tbh, if you like autobattlers and have some money to throw around. Game is pretty fun. I think we need a multiplayer area first.

Personally if something doesn't happen, I am going to feel scammed, I just bought land and in the same week it got nerfed. This pushed me to buy another piece of land, still not making enough of anything to sell any.

Instead I am paying money into OWZ to try to speed up getting to higher fuel production so I can actually justify the land. That is probably what is really happening here, land owners are being pushed to work the land harder and spend money on there land in "coins" that do not feed this economy.

These coins bill directly thru google play store, 350 of them cost $20. I have probably spent $150-$200 on them already trying to get the most out of my land. This seems to me to be the real motivation for the nerfing.
