Illuvatars, illuviums PFP project, to be used as in-game avatars

The plan for them is to have a new collection every 3 months or so, whilst each collection is live you can mint as many as you like (so that once we hit millions of users they are still available and affordable to all and not just first 10k people lol)

Kierans proposing that the very first collection is only available for 1 week! After this all future collections will last around 3-6months approx

How long before survival mode is "solved"? Are there mechanics planned to add some variance?

Yes. Plus countering placement is far more important than affinities at this point.

Yes, here's a list of what will come to Survival mode soon:

• Bonding (the ranger can take the composites of a specific illuvial in a team)
• Mastery Points to pay for ranger's items (right now it's bugged and everything is free)
• Health management (we will lose health if we lose a round instead of losing the game instantly)
• Mastery Point Management (we can gain interest of Mastery Point if we don't use them during a round)
• Augments (something like equipements for illuvials to make them stronger)
• Illuvials single use (if you sell and illuvial, you get back its Mastery Point but you won't be able to play that illuvial for the rest of the game)
• PVP Survival Mode
• Full random decks and waves in PVP Survival Mode, new match = new deck
  And probably more that I don't remember or that is not disclosed yet

Very overwhelming for non understanding people. I agree, great chart, love it! I think "ours" is great for the newbies to learn in a simple way and eventually move over to more advanced charts if so 🙂

I'll have to disagree 😅 I find these big tables to be way too much precise. They're for those advanced people who wanna learn precise numbers in enormous charts.

I continue to think that all the circular charts that were produced in the previous months require less stuff to memorise, and let beginner get an instinct on what is good and what is not without learning a load of data

We just gotta find a way to explain the circular chart more easily, and I guess I've done a bad job at explaining them

You learn 20 position and that's is, instead of the 8 weakness and 8 strengths of each of the 20 elements

Which is basically 320 nodges of data

Even if you don't wanna learn and use them as lookup tables, you have sooo much data to run through

I'll give you that tho, those new lookup tables are the most clean lookup tables we've got so far. But they nowhere close to being casual friendly to learn

Way too much chunks of info, you get forced to look at the table everytime instead of learning it

I mean, seeing the quality of your graphic design team, y'all could probably do one of these circular charts with explanation beside it, which people would understand

People learn differently and they prefer different visualization. I personally find it easier to use the circular one, that’s why I did it and FOR ME it makes more sense because if you get their positions it is so easy to use. The linear charts imo is really good for those not familiar with countering affinities and for those who doesn’t wanna dive deep into affinities and just want a quick reference. I think different charts suits different people. All in all we are all working together to help people understand the subject, so kudos to everyone. Btw, I am also planning to make one of those linear charts if I have time. 😁

And oh! You can also use my match up calculator if you want. Hehehe. 😉 just type the affinity and voila! I know it’s online and you can’t print it 😅 but if you have another computer or mobile phone while playing. You can easily use it.

Yeah, so I believe that if I had exactly the same board with same positioning this would always happen. I feel like it's a retargetting problem after Ramphyre took off. We can see that after landing the Ramphyre totally ignored the bugged Adorius next to it

I appreciate your effort to write an article, however I have seen a number of significant errors:

Under pros/cons

• We have just upgraded to Unreal Engine 5
• There is LOTS of genuine gameplay footage available with a new Overworld trailer dropping soon

In other sections:

• ~~IlluviumDEX ~~ is called IlluviDex
• Saying something like Gem Prize tags are very lucrative is not verifiable since the game economy is not live yet.
• There are many other speculative statements about the game economy or that something is valuable/lucrative, but in reality our game isn't launched yet so none of that is not confirmable.
• I have never heard of selling treasure islands
• autobotler is called autobattler
• You don't explore different plantets, only different regions on the same planet
• The Obelisks are challenging and provide more treasure. I don't even know what that means
• The weapons section is inaccurate
• blending is inaccurate - you merge 3 Illuvials to upgrade the stage
• The Illuvials are pictures of emotes, not actual Illuvials.

I've only made it halfway through, and this was just what I caught while quickly skimming through. As a writer myself, I know you have already put in some time and effort. I understand that our game has quite a lot of information to learn, however the article is currently inaccurate throughout. We have a lot of the information on our game throughout discord. I would also recommend you check out the infoluvial or illuvialmaster fan sites or ask some of the community members to help you correct this.

Hey, sorry it took so long. But here's all affinities and their Hyper rundown. Since there's a lot of new players with beta access these might come handy for you! Download them for best quality (big high res images) and use them as wallpapers on your secondary screen while playing the Illuvium beta! I even saw people printing the old ones, so cool! Loved all the feedback from the first versions. Study them well and enjoy the beta!

How to follow:
The middle highlighted affinity are the attacker. The affinities on right hand side will be an advantage for your illuvial and will charge up the hyper bar accordingly to the numbers at the top row (higher number charge your illuvial faster).
The affinities on the left hand side will be a disadvantage for your illuvial and will charge up the enemy illuvial accordingly to the numbers in the top row.
The white affinities in the middle are neutral and won't impact the hyper.
Once your illuvial reach 100 Hyper they become Hyperactive which activate bonuses depending on their classes.

Different versions for those who prefer certain formats. Cleaner, simpler versions will be dropping eventually

The circle graph is a bit misleading in one aspect. The legend says for example +8/-8 for ring 4. But that’s not true since it will only have +8 and -8 against the one closest to it. But if you’re following that table under the circles it seems like those numbers applies to all affinities in the same “ring” which is false.

Additional feedback:
It doesn’t either tell how anything is related to something outside of that circle. So you won’t know how many hyper points you will get and I can’t see what’s the most efficient counter. For instance: if I have fire, Verdant will be the best counter with +4, which you can’t know from that graph.
Not sure how to tweak it so it represents it a bit better. Just some feedback, do as you please with it 🙂

It will be complemented with your great calculator on the other page though. 👍

Regarding ur 2nd paragraph, tbh, I can’t figure out how to layout all info about hyper in one graph. But I will still try to think about it and hopefully come up with one. My opinion on this is that the circle graph should be used for quick reference. Nobody is gonna be looking for info as precise as +6 vs +8, mid fight. And anyway once you study the circle chart a bit, the "best counter" quickly becomes easy to spot in a fraction of a second for every element, regardless of the precise number.

Precise number is, in my opinion, just useful to understand the basic concept when you first get in the game. But won't use it cuz it is way too much information. It is less useful to pick +8 instead of +6, when compared to choosing an actual illuvial with good utility. So understanding general strengths and weaknesses quickly, with a good but imperfect idea of the number, is sufficient

And when you look at Enormous complex charts with all number, you only quickly see the "perfect" counter. The rest is harder to scroll through while it is still perfectly viable options

In addition to this, The wheel lets you do a quick full team analysis cuz you see multiple elements at a time. With the linear charts, you gotta look multiple charts in order to find advantages

It gives flexibility, cuz i'm not necessary looking for "perfect" counter

but i still get a solid advantage

And when doing this, simple give more importance to outer ring illuvials

To get the same info on linear charts, i'd have had to look at multiple charts. The "Twin primary" chart for the ennemy double-water, The "antagonist" chart for the mud ennemy, and the "primary affinity" chart for the Simple water ennemy. And in each of those, I'd have to compute weaknesses, strenghts, and try to get with a decision on which i should choose.

I mean its possible but in my opinion it takes more time and we wouldnt care much about the numbers anyway cuz the ennemy team comp aint only composed of 1 illuvial so it becomes more complex

Yeah it’s definitely too complex to go too deep into it when multiple Illuvials adds to the equation. I guess it all comes down to personal preference and it’s good that the community can cover the same topic in different ways. I was mostly concerned about the slight misleading table under the circles where it said it’s eaither +X or -X if you look at Y ring. And the affinity calculator complements it very well too

About the round vs linear charts, I really do prefer the round one but seems kinda overwhelming for new users I guess. Every chart and graphical illustrations has their strengths and weaknesses. So it’s good we have a lot of choices that was made by the community. For me, the best way to learn countering affinities is to use the round chart with the aid of the calculator (the one that I made above it).

But it still depends on how fast you think, and in real life leviathan arena, time pressure kinda gets you if you’re not fully prepared.
