I really don't understand why people is complaining that hard. sILV will be provided as the snapshot. Team is working on it and they have not blamed anyone, they will take responsibilities for the exploit but this things happen. All the people who bought in the sILV (me included) were smartasses that prefered to buy sILV at a discount instead of using ETH. By doing the DYOR all the people who bought it should have understood that the pool was not officially supported. The tokens were legit snd that's why they took the snapshot so why complaining????

I mean it's a 2 part problem - The main part is that there was an exploit in the contract. The secondary part is that there was an unofficial LP the hacker was using to extract value from legitimate sILV holders and liquidity providers.

With no LP, the exploit would still exist, but things wouldn't have been on fire. Still would have required a new token to replace sILV, but there wouldn't be mass trading muddying the waters about who got what sILV at what time etc.

I don't think anyone is claiming that the exploit wasn't the main problem though.

I think Aaron's getting misquoted a bit here. Aaron said earlier this exploit is the fault of us, not the pool. We've taken the only possible actions we can in this situation but the pool is by is very nature not in our control. So we cannot take it down, only flood it. Which we did.

But right now the pools existence it what is causing harm to our community. If you've never interacted with it then you've got absolutely 0 problems (even with this exploit). Problem is that this exploit happened and the pool allowed innocent community members to be exposed to the problem before we could rectify.

This. True. Is was a salvage maneuver to minimize damage, and it seems reasonably good. Yes, shouldn't have had the exploit in the first place but no system is bulletproof. Speccially a pioneer one. Most important is the way we deal with it. For me, trust untouched. And I have a good bit of sILV....

The exploit is something that only works if you can mint sILV. We have disabled the minting of sILV.

The issue here is that someone minted a large amount of sILV over many addresses and over a long time. Once we found out about it decided to act, but the exploiter was able to sell some of their tokens before ours. I assume they thought sILV would go higher prior to the land sale, and were waiting to get more money out of the pool.
