BUT, just really take in for once, that so many of us expect to see great returns from ILV just through investment. All the ETH that will be paid to perform actions in the game will go to a vault. All the ETH in the vault will be used to buy $ILV and all the $ILV will be distributed to the holders as weekly revenues.

Ronin lowered gas fees a lot. Axies still aren't cheap though for entry. Even SLP pumped to $0.2 now. Their daily trading volume started to exceed $10m by now. This alone, with 5% IlluviDex fees would mean a monthly revenue of $15m for us, ignoring other revenue streams and the likely possibility of a higher trading volume 😄

Depends on what you understand as "earn". If you buy $ILV now and stake it, you earn $ILV as yield. In-game there will also be the possibility to earn $ILV. Whoever holds $ILV and has it staked, will get revenue share as well (paid in $ILV). But there are other means as well to earn, for example by crafting stuff or gathering illuvials and sell them on the IlluviDEX (marketplace, primary currency will be $ETH)

It all comes down to the game actually being fun and showing the quality overall we've seen bits and pieces of so far already. I do have a hard time wrapping my own head around even those shared optimistic estimates but parts of me do believe we could even see ridiculous numbers like $20+ per month per $ILV in revenue.

We will never see more than 10m $ILV in circulation and that's more than a year from now. Only staked $ILV get revenue share. So I doubt anyone staking $ILV will ever have to compete with more than 6-7m $ILV. In the first year probably not more than 5m - if even this high. In order to reach $5+ per $ILV per month we would on a daily average "only" (still needs to happen) need to reach Axie's daily average revenue of the past seven days. This has to be the most conservative baseline in my opinion. So unless the project somehow performs miserably or fails completely (which always can happen, I just don't see it) $10+ and more SHOULD (still hypothetical) be absolutely doable
