Perhaps my experience with Gods Unchained will provide a little bit of clarity on this… or more confusion 😅
The IMX Marketplace is accessed through your web browser and not in the game. So, I have linked my Ledger to IMX via the Immutable Key in your screenshot. This allowed me to deposit an ETH amount of my choosing onto IMX (and pay a gas fee). This balance is separate from the remaining balance I have with my Ledger itself. But keep in mind IMX is still just linked to my Ledger. In a similar manner as the link between MM and Ledger, I find a card I want on the IMX Marketplace and initiate my purchase on IMX… then physically review/confirm the transaction on my Ledger to complete it.
No gas fee.
Price of the card deducted from my IMX Wallet ETH balance.
Card/NFT is stored on the Ledger wallet.
I then open up the game and the card is there in my inventory and immediately able to be used in matches.
Whether that exact process is what will happen with Illuvium… I’m not sure. The admin may have more info on that though!

Well I don’t think you can do it directly. Not for ILV at least since it’s not on Ledger Database. So you have to use your Ledger-MM wallet to connect. In this case Ledger is just an Intermediary and works as a bridge and key to your MM.

Just do what you do normally without Ledger. But since you have a Ledger-MM wallet, you just need to confirm the transaction on your Ledger for it to go through

The hardware wallet still acts as the storage for the crypto... but once connected to Metamask, you'll use MM for buying and selling (an interface I believe you're already familiar with). After connecting, you'll likely now see you have two wallets on Metamask: the wallet you were using before... and your Ledger. So just remember to select your Ledger going forward... have it physically connected and ready so you can review the transactions and confirm them 🙂

It’s not Leder only. No one has your seeds that’s why when you forget your wallet password you have to delete and reinstall it with the seeds. Not even the team can help you. So if you’re wallet is not connected to anything, there’s no way anyone can figure out how much you have, or can they?
