I think Illuvium will be able to use that aspect of it and also I think a lot of defi protocols will. I don't know how much of the ILV auto battler placement stuff has been leaked, but I wonder if it's going to be like each player places 1 unit on the board at the time, so you slowly adapt to your opponents pieces as you both build out your boards
