Might be important to clarify as there are Vault Distribution "rewards" for staking as well as Yield Farming rewards.

The 3 million tokens are reserved for Yield Farming (either through the ILV/ETH pool which is 50:50 or the solo ILV pool). These are a finite supply and will run out. Your weight depends on which pool you select and how long you choose to lock up your tokens for.

The Vault distributions are separate and will continue on even after the supply of 3 million tokens has been farmed. The revenue from the in-game transactions goes to the vault and then every week, that revenue is used to buy ILV at whatever the market price is, and then distributes that ILV to the token holders.

Which part are you referring to? As far as I know, receiving the rewards won't just happen automatically after buying ILV. You can be an ILV holder but the tokens might not be staked.
You will need to actively go in and choose to stake your tokens in one of the pools in order to receive vault distributions.

So whether it's a bear or bull market, when people love the game and are playing Illuvium, spending ETH in game, all of that revenue is going to the vault which is buying ILV from the market every week, even when other people are not 🙂

When you stake, you can keep your staked tokens unlocked so you're able to unstake them at any time. But you can also choose to lock your tokens for up to 12 months (you pick the amount of time). The longer you choose to lock up your tokens, the more weight you'll get in the whichever pool you choose.

If you choose to lock for the full 12 months, then your "staked tokens are weighted as twice that of unlocked staked tokens. This weighting affects both Yield Farming Rewards and Vault Distributions."

Then after that 12 months, you can unstake those tokens.

There will always be revenue distribution as it comes from the vault taking the ETH from in game activity and buying ILV of the marker with it. There will always be people selling and if there is not much poeple selling then the price will go up even faster as the vault has to buy to distribute the revenues in ILV to stakers locked in the protocol.
