Short term capital gains tax is 30% if you withdraw within a year of depositing, long term capital gains tax is 15% (At least in the US it is). Every transaction is a taxable event, and should be reported, but that doesn't mean you'll get taxed on it. You'll only get taxed when you realize your gains aka/when you pull out of the stock/crypto. IDK how it works with realizing gains and leaving them on a stablecoin, but so far that info is what I understand from talking to an accountant who is familiar with how it works for stocks, but not crypto. I am not an accountant so please don't consider these as facts/ advise from a professional. For me I only withdraw the bare minimum and make sure to record losses within that year to offset what I pulled out. If I do plan to pull out a bigger chunk of my crypto assets, I'd probably create a company, add myself as an employee and add a bunch of absurd costs to offset the profits. BUT definitely talking with an accountant first.

So I've signed into OpenSea for the first time and have watched a few YouTube vids on how to trade NFTs. What do you guys reckon - should I keep the battle scoot for now, and wait for Illuvium to grow in reputation before selling, or should I sell it straight away? I've never owned a NFT before, so don't know the procedure 🙂

Dumb question, but bare with me. The game uses this L2 solution, which I’m not really sure what it means but my question is, for purchases with ETH in game, will there be gas fees?

I won’t need to move my ETH into some certain wallet or anything like that?

Its not a dumb question i think 😄 - I'm not in that department, so i dont know what the plan is -- but i know the aim is to give the player a great user experience and make the game as accessible as possible. 😮 I dont know how (im in the art department), but ill ask when i get the chance 😄

I'm using the alpha edition of immutable x now. I had to deposit eth onto the market of GU from my wallet (so paying a gas fee). All purchases and sells of GU cards are free of gas fees (seller does pay a small transaction fee to immutable). So ones the eth is on the market there are no more gas fees.

Using IMX, there will be gas fees to move ETH into IMX and gas fees to move it out from IMX. But all transactions within IMX will be gasless
