Absolutely agree with this. The benefit of strengthening our community and forging a relationship with one of the strongest projects in crypto is exactly what we should be excited about. The role of council isn't to come up with ideas on behalf of the community. It's to effectively gather the collective opinion of the community and to be as inclusive as possible of everyone here. This is never going to be an easy job, but in my opinion that's the crux of it

"The community" is kind of a loaded term for this kind of game. Since it's more a game for some and more an investment for others, making sure the decisions don't sway too heavily toward one demographic will be the toughest thing IMO. Aiming for growth vs rewarding current player base/community will always be at the fore in my mind. For me personally I want to see members looking out for the little guys who maybe can't throw their weight around using cash. I do see the importance of a good balance sheet to make the game enjoyable for everyone, but I don't want to see it become a money grab before being a great experience.

The problem with that is two fold. While having a big following helps to an extent, it's also a hyper focused echo chamber, where your own thoughts are said to you in a different way, as you'd said it first.
As an example, if you say that "Squizz is great because he is cute", you can get your followers "reaffirm" that by saying that "X isn't cute" or "Y isn't as adorable".

The second part with no-lifing the game, doesn't mean that you understand the game just because you play it a lot. A lot of pro players make for bad people that balance the game because they miss the bigger picture

A good game that has done this is Lost relics, they have blockchain items and collectible weapons but the little guy can grind for gold and buy virtual items that are destructible so that helps the little guy grind but has the downside that weapons are destructible and non blockchain

Projects tend to be funded by initial seed investments. That gives the team runway to deliver the product. Seed investors are given a share of the tokens. The team is also given a share of the tokens. Both of these are usually locked up for a period of time to protect everyone. It'd probably be something like this, but we'll have to wait a few more days for the tokenomics article from the team.

NFTs imo, are still very very basic right now. Like, their applications exist in a way which we dont even know of yet. There are now NFT insurance policies, which gets rid of all paperwork and approval, and just holding it means your insurance is owned by you

Biggest issue I see with physical items moving on chain is the data quality. The data on chain will only be as good as the data put in. Lot's of ways to manipulate before it goes on chain.

I hate to be the person that says "this time its different" but seeing what we've seen in the defi space, we now know for a fact that the only strategy isn't "buy low and sell high". You can now stake the coins/tokens and get APY returns on them, which now means just holding and staking is passively growing your networth and as such, it's huge.
